  1. Hmm, not really a whole lot of choice outside of the obvious ~ the Fast and Furious films, and to be fair, they stopped being about racing after the third or fourth. It's been a while since I saw it but I thought Death Race was pretty enjoyable, not really a very good film objectively, but if you're looking for some good action, car races and fairly brutal deaths, I'd say it's a good choice. Either that or I agree with El Duderino, Rush is brilliant. Not an action packed film like you might be looking for, but it's a very interesting and engaging true story drama that does indeed get pretty intense at times. I'm not even into F1 or racing in general but I definitely recommend it.

  2. A few major omissions from the poll ~ The BFG, Independence Day: Resurgence and Suicide Squad. I'm not too fussed about SS (I didn't see Batman v Superman either) but I'm definitely seeing the other two, along with Finding Dory, which is the one I'm looking forward to seeing the most. Will probably go see The Secret Life of Pets and Star Trek Beyond as well.

  3. I think poor Coco really needs our love right now, it's been an awful week for her. First she gets sick, and now she can't legally use her own name anymore (she'll always be Coco to us though).

  4. Like others in this thread, I'm also hoping for a Scootaloo episode, and I'm actually going to make a half-hope, half-prediction that "The Fault In Our Cutie Marks" is going to be it. The reasons why are because having the words "cutie mark" in the title usually seem to indicate that it'll be a CMC episode, and it's also going to be on an upcoming Rainbow Dash themed DVD. The other episodes listed on that disc all feature her with a different character, these being Gilda, Fluttershy, Twilight, and the Wonderbolts. The only thing missing that would logically make it complete is an episode with her and Scoots, and since they omitted previous episodes like "Flight to the Finish", I wonder if that also suggests that this upcoming one is a Scootadash story.

My idea for the premise is that the episode will officially confirm Scootaloo as permanently flightless, which would once again see the show honouring one of Lauren Faust's original intentions. Obviously heartbroken by this news, Scootaloo starts to wonder if there is a "fault in her cutie mark", because what else could the wing and lightning bolt represent if she'll never be able to fly? This gives the CMC a new cutie mark problem to solve, likely with Rainbow Dash's help, and since the problem concerns one of their own, that makes it their most challenging and personal one yet.

Again, this is more of a hope for the episode's premise rather than a prediction. It could be something entirely different (my predictions are more often wrong than right), but I just thought I'd put my idea out there.

  5. Most, if not, all alcoholic beverages. Beer and wine just have an awful taste that I never got used to, and they don't agree with my stomach either. I used to drink alcopops like Smirnoff Ice and WKD, but as I grew older, they also started having bad effects on my stomach and my bladder; within minutes of taking so much as a little sip, it just went right through me and had me rushing for the bathroom. Now I don't drink any alcohol at all, even when offered it at Christmas or New Year's Eve parties. If anyone asks, I just say I'm intolerant to it all, which is probably true.

  6. Yes I do. I have all the Build-a-Bear ponies, as well as an OnlyFactory Sunset Shimmer, Ty beanie Rarity, and Funrise Bon Bon. I regularly alternate which one I sleep with, but I'd say Twilight and Pinkie probably get chosen the most. Reasons why would be because Twilight is my favourite character, and Pinkie is considerably less stuffed compared to my other Build-a-Bears, which kinda makes her the cuddliest of the bunch.

  7. I'm sure I'll be proven wrong on this but... Fantasia.

I know it's hailed by many critics as a masterpiece, but while I've always liked it, I feel like not many others do. I understand why though, nearly two hours of animation synced with classical music with no cohesive story linking all the separate sequences is not something everyone will be able to get into. But as a Disney fan who does like a fair share of classical music, it's something I've always admired and appreciated. Plus its visual and technical accomplishments were remarkable for a film made in the early 40s.

  8. I thought more people hated it than liked it, but I also agree on Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

And another controversial addition to my list: Ratatouille. It's as visually stunning as any Pixar film, but I didn't find the story or characters the least bit engaging. I will give it credit for its ending though, which has one of the best movie monologues I've ever heard.

  9. IMDb is like the Wikipedia of film sites; pretty reliable but you can never be too sure since anyone can edit anything on there. So I would dismiss this as fake as well. I still think the finale will be something to do with Guardians of Harmony, but I also think Starlight will play a big part in it and, as Unlikeable Pony said, quite possibly become like a seventh mane character or something like that.

  10. Dosen't X-Men: Gambit and Blade Runner 2 Start at the same date? I don't know if that's so clever. :/

Last I heard, Gambit was slated for release on that same date but Fox has since removed it from schedule, and now there's no idea when it will be out. Blade Runner 2 is still scheduled to open on the same day, but the target audience for that would be so different that I'm not sure how major a competitor it would be. The competition in November though is much more fierce, on the original date the movie would be directly up against Thor: Ragnarok, with Justice League and Coco coming just two weeks later. So I would personally say moving it up to October is a smart decision.

  11. Teaser before Moana in November would be good timing.

Yes I think I might expect to see a teaser around this time, and definitely another teaser or maybe even a full trailer in March 2017 before Power Rangers (as it's also being distributed by Lionsgate).

  12. I might be wrong but after some digging, It appears that McCarthy will be screenwriter while Joe writes the script. I don't really know the difference between the two roles but that is what I've found.

There isn't really any difference. Screenplay is just a more specific term for a script used for a movie or television show (although teleplay is often used for this as well). As far as I know, Joe has no involvement in the film now and McCarthy is the sole screenwriter.

  13. Absolutely. I remember going to see Rainbow Rocks at the cinema and feeling a bit self-conscious about it, until I remembered that feeling any semblance of nervousness or embarrassment was pointless. I go to the cinema frequently and almost never with anyone, and I had been to see some movies that were decidedly targeted more towards female audiences before, including The Fault In Our Stars, Titanic during its 3D re-release, and Frozen, and quickly came to wonder why MLP should be any different. So I went to see it and it was great, and a year later, when it ended up getting a theatrical release in the UK, I went to see Friendship Games, and it was also great. I understand the fear of getting weird looks from others, but the truth is, it doesn't matter what any of them might think, nor is it any of their business. You're just there to see a movie that you want to see. When the movie finally does come out next year, I know I'm going to be there on opening night.
