No, my step-daughter's mother. I am 36. Sadly, I fear it relates to the ego of the mother. She doesn't want people to know that her daughter loves the ponies because SHE has not ever bothered to watch the show her only daughter is obsessed with. My spouse and I have summer visitation and I am going to try to start a local community of (non-pervy) folks who can get together and share our enjoyment of ponies and dub-step.

You are all the sweetest ponies. I recently splurged on a Fluttershy hoodie for my 9 year old step daughter, and her mother won't let her wear it outside the house because she thinks other kids will make fun of it. I has the mane, the ears, the wings, and (her favorite pattern) cheetah print. I had to look for months to find exactly the right one, she specifically asked for the mane, ears and wings hoodie. I also sent her Friendship is Magic volume 5. Why can't other adults get it?

You should check out the Friendship is Magic comic book series. It's super funny, and has a bunch of pop culture references. I pretend to buy them for my step daughter, but I actually find them better than the T.V. show. I know how you feel though. As a 36 year old woman I am in the closet over my squish for Uncle Grandpa.

I have also been collecting the FIM comic book series. I am a mom. I like to cosplay in hooded/footed blanket sleeper type costumes, not pony theme underwear. I feel that females should be able to bend over, relax and even (gasp!) eat in costume. I would like to find an AK cosplay group for tweens with these costume perimeters. I am also kind of obsessed with Wonder Woman, but that's for another website.
