I decided to buy Season 1 on DVD from Amazon.com. But I didn't have an account or a card, so I had my mom buy it for me and paid her back for it. I was feeling somewhat brave, and I kinda hoped she'd notice, and I kinda hoped she wouldn't. Earlier, she'd come across an article online about bronies, and she was laughing out loud at it, and I told her how big it was on the Internet, but I hadn't revealed I was part of it. So as she was buying it, she saw the product description, and I'm like, me: "It's... some... kids' cartoon. ... Yeah, it probably seems a bit... uh..." mom: (grinning) "It is." I was going to say "weird" or "strange" or something like that; I'm not sure what she thought I meant. So she pretty much knows I like it and she's cool with it, though she thinks it's hilarious. For Valentine's Day she got me a present, smiling mischievously, and said "You'll like it." Inside the bag was a Rainbow Dash toy. And if she ever finds out that I'm going to a brony convention, she'll probably laugh her head off. -

If I remember correctly, I was tuning in to the live chat on Everfree's show "Saturday Night Songs" with Michelle Creber, and I eventually went with a username. Rainbow Dash mentioned a place called "Baltimare" in Season 2 ("It's About Time"), so I made it a demonym and joined the chat. Final Draft even chose a question of mine to ask Michelle which was super cool. He seemed to assume I was from Baltimore, though. heh -

My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: The BABSCon website linked here to its forum. How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I was already an animation fan (particularly Pixar movies, and Phineas and Ferb). My friend told me about the new My Little Pony that she had started watching, so one day when I was alone I watched the first episode. Then the next. Then the next. Then the next. My name's Peter. I live in New Mexico, despite my username (never even been to Baltimore). I really like animation (cartoons, movies, etc.), and I'm also a huge geography nut and enjoy traveling. I worked at a college library for about a year and a half, up until just recently and now I'm hoping to spend some time creating stuff and see where that goes. And of course, My Little Pony is a really cool show that's had a positive influence on me. I'm really glad there's a show out there that's enjoyable, well-written, and shows how awesome friendship can be, along with things like loyalty, generosity, kindness, honesty, and laughter. Awesome. Anyway, I joined here mainly to possibly use the BABSCon forum, but after the nice welcome the site's already given me (seriously, great website layout and user experience, guys!) I might stay and check out the other areas of the forum. Thanks y'all! /)
