Most subcultures have a particular fashion sense whether we speak of emos, hipsters, goths, or just about any other subculture really. By looking the part, it becomes easier to find others who are being unique in exactly the same way you are. Now then, what do you think epitomizes the brony/pegasister look? Or perhaps, what do you think high fashion might be within our subculture?

There are a few tips I can give for creating this sort of music. First, keep a rather low bpm; I'd choose a maximum tempo that seems right to you and never exceed it. Second, you will need to learn how to make thick pad sounds. Not every song will require these (some may use strings and orchestra for example), but it's an invaluable skill for any music producer.

My personal max bpm (for chill music) is 112. Try to use simplistic drum beats because overly intense beats will make your song feel faster. Your instruments could be quick, but it's usually best to use a flowing sound such as an arpeggio. You might try remixing a song you like, and slowing down the vocals. This will make your vocals feel chill by comparison :33

As for pad sounds, you'll probably be looking into using a multi oscillator or unison plugin. (You can't reasonably make a thick sound with a lonely square wave.) You'll need to use a reverb, but if your synth begins to sound like a trance lead, tone things down a notch. Also, stereo widening will be useful as well, but be sure to apply it after reverb in your effects chain. That way, it will effect both the wave and the reverberation ^^

Finally (and most importantly), let go of perfection. If you allow your music to be imperfect, you will have far more creative freedom than you might otherwise. As a consequence of this, your music will actually be better than the "perfect" song you might have tried to write before.

This perfectly sums up how I feel about life. I don't ever want to be known for doing one particular thing; I'd rather experience everything that I might see or do in equal color.

As long as I'm doing what I can to improve the lives of others, I don't care what's happening. I can't reasonably be there for every single person and it upsets me when I read about people who I didn't or cannot help.

When I say "I don't care about that anymore" it's not a negative statement. It means I feel freed from something that was binding me. I'd rather experience life as it comes than hold on to the past.

I keep trying to come out to my parents, but I stop just before they know. A few different approaches (text, letter, various locations), and nothing seems to push me to do it. I guess I'm posting this because once I ask for help with a problem, it usually resolves itself.

People just listen to stuff because it's what they hear on the radio, or because they "like the artist". Likewise, people hate Justin Bieber songs because it's JB. Just ... who cares who wrote a song? Listen to music because it sounds good and is emotionally meaningful. In my case, this often leads me to Japayork, and then people think I'm insane.

I guess I wanted to give a quick note on the shaving thing here: Gigi Gorgeous did a video on the shaving products she uses awhile back, and her advice is definitely useful (in my opinion at least?)
