  1. Since it was said back in 2014 that there would be ponies for the next five years after that time (don't really remember exactly, my memory is rather dry about that statement.) it's safe to assume there will be a handful of seasons after the movie before the show goes with a bang, but in all honestly, most of the characters plots and possibilities are getting wrapped up alright, even if we got some more world building, that'd be unlikely, given the show's main focus is on its characters and the way they grow up with each new experience, and you don't always need adventures for that.

  2. Not gonna lie, the finale was quite so-so. Gotta say, with the synopses claiming the villain was going to be on of Equestria's oldest and most powerful threads, i was expecting yet another revamped G1 antagonist, but that was not the case. Still, there were hints trought this season that Chrysalis would come back, and she definitely needed a much deserved return, so i can't complain. Plus, good thing she remains evil, there's been just too many redemptions. Gotta say, Starlight's group worked pretty well as a team, albeit poor Thorax was nothing more than a walking, talking plot device here. The redeemed changelings design are quite narmy, gotta say, and it would've been nice to see how the Mane six and the other ponies were subdued and captured. Overall, not a bad finale, but quite underwhelming in comparison to other entries.

BTW, this season's opener and finale do not end with the ponies having a group hug. Weird...

  3. Quite enjoyable, loved how the show dealt with the Rashomon-esque formula and the introduction of the new monster, the Bunyip of Australian folklore. On the other hand, as much as i liked a new monster for the bestiary, its appereance pretty much came out of the blue (no pun intended) and didn't really add much to the whole feud.

Of all the fantasy creatures this show has provided over the years, I never expected them to actually include a Bunyip! But, aren't Bunyips supposed to be scary?

Hehehe, well you know, after all, the show enjoys doing its own take on mythic beasts. After all, we've gotten tiger-headed chimeras and feline-looking yetis.

  4. Just watched Viva Las Pegasus, and, gotta say, pretty amusing! Some more needed World Building, and it's great to see what a kid-friendly Vegas would be like. That, and more interaction between AJ and Flutters is always welcome. Gotta love how it ended on a somewhat bittersweet note, because, even if Gladmane was defeated, the Flim Flam bros are back to the baddie bussiness.

  5. Regarding this episode, first i gotta say...

HOLY SKREEEONK! PREHISTORIC CREATURES ARE OFFICIALLY CANON! Well, Ponyfied, at least, but still.
Anyway, the whole thing was quite sweet. Gabriella's got an adorable design and the way the CMC dealt with the issue was quite fine. Glad to see more friendly griffins. But yeah, i know Gabby can come across as a blatant Mary Sue who's perfect at anything, but maybe, it's pretty likely they made her that way as a parody of this type of characters. You know the writers just love to have fun with many things.
  6. It was pretty fine, and had some really interesting background characters, such as that R63 Bulk Biceps. Who could have imagined Flutters had natural hability for a sport she didn't know. And Snails turned out to be quite useful despite his perpetual stupidity. Now they gotta redeem Snips later.

  7. Phew! Wasn't able to catch with this and Dungeons and Discords. Too many Uni homework. Now, i got a look at it and gotta say, So-so. We got a good look at changeling culture, life cycle and larval stage, and Thorax himself is alright. Spike's solo song was sweet, but him saving the entire day all because of it was rather rushed and jarring.

I liked this episode, but it begs the question of who was the changeling in episode 100 at the wedding and why did ponies not run away screaming?

That changeling was a friend of Cranky.

  8. At first, i was afraid this would be a rehash of "Mysterious Mare Do Well", but thankfully it proved otherwise. And we also got a good luck at what zombies might be like in Equestria (even though they're all fake) considering Spike mentioned them all the way back to Season 1 and Noi also spoke about them in "Luna Eclipsed". Overall, quite an improvement over MMDW.

  9. Call me crazy, but i'd like to have three parter openers and finales where the Mane Six battle their most powerful villains. A brony can only dream... But yeah, i'd love the series to have a truly dangerous, demonic and almost Lovecraftian final boss that defeats easily the Mane Six and even the Royal Sisters and Cadance... Only to have its ass kicked by Starlight and her new team of friends (hopefully all of them background ponies) Celly and Luna ascend to a higher plane of existence, Twi gets a power upgrade that transforms her into a swan-necked winged, horned horse with ethereal mane along with her friends, and now all of them alongside Cadance become the new rulers of Equestria while Starlight has new adventures with her team, Spike becomes an ambassador between dragons and ponies and many other sentient races who helps the mutual relationships of each species improve and yeah, pretty much. Lots of bronies will be pleased, others will go nuts and scream bloody murder, but, yeah, it's the end, goodbye ponies.

  10. Well, you know, DeLancie must have a different schedule now and he's also one of the most expensive voice actors. That, and the fact that, after season 4, there hasn't been really much use for Discord. Even if he's been redeemed for good, it kinda seems that he differs between being an anti-hero or still something of a villain in his recent appereances, he does his fair share of deranged acts which do raise the ire of the Mane Six, but, being the spirit of chaos, that's just his thing.

  11. Ahh, looks like we got another contender for season 6's lowest point alongside "No Second Prances". While the whole car racing theme was neat, it's a shame the episode's plot pretty much focuses on RD, AJ and Rares being obsessed control freaks who pay no attention to the three fillies. The whole moral wasn't executed quite brightly, to say the least. But yeah, more screentime for Cheerilee was a nice treat. Overall, it's not downright bad, but just "meh" in an extreme level.

  12. Welp, Off to Mexico/Canada!

Wouldn't be of much help, given that our good friend Mr. Trump is all to willing to declare war on Mexico if we refuse to pay for his wall if he manages to rise to power, that is.

If WW3 were to start soon, truth is, i'm utterly unfit. But yeah, i'd have to go anyway to protect my country, cause if i don't, i'll be labeled a traitor for my home...

  13. Well, that one was quite fun! Quibble Pants sure was one amusing Take That at stubborn fans, and it's glad to see that he and RD made up and went back to being good friends despite their differing views of the Daring Do franchise. Oswald did an hilarious job voicing him, and Quibble rambling over the show's credits had me laughing a lot too. And thanks goodness! New monster! the Cipactli, my mythology nerd is pleased...

Regarding those body pillows... The show's staff sure loves to have fun with anything.

  14. Well, her name's Gaia Everfree and i just saw her snarling, pissed off and showing up a mouth full of sharp teeth in the trailer, while showing some destructive nature powers. Either she'll be an outright villain, or an antihero who just wants humans to leave the forest alone but her methods aren't quite friendly and the Humane Seven will help her see the error of her ways. Yeah, bussiness as usual.

  15. Trixie, i wanna see how much she develops as Starlight's friend, and, Flurry Heart, it feels almost like they wrote her off after the first two episodes :/ and she's so cute too...

Well, the show's team has said there will be some more Trixie on the way, so yeah, that'll sure be sweet!

As for myself, i really would love to see more Zecora and Babs Seed.

  16. Interesting indeed... Seems like a dryad of sorts. Who knows. Doesn't look very threatening, though. Maybe she's just a bizarre-looking being with a heart of gold. Bussiness as usual.
