  1. I would say so, yes. Take Family Guy for example and The Simpsons. Or some kid shows like Spongebob or Pokemon. No matter what, the longer a show runs, the less quality in the storylines it has. At least, that's how I see it. Fandoms will go on forever and the franchises will continue for the purpose of gaining a profit, which isn't a bad thing (it's quite common). But sooner or later, the quality will run out and you'll be stuck trying to drag something along that would have done better if it ended on a good note. Now if Hasbros can pull it off? Hey....I say go for it. I'd be genuinely impressed if they could avoid that common dilemma if they push the series way longer than we anticipate . People are just expressing reasons on why they believe it'll end soon while others are saying why they SHOULD end soon. It all depends...we won't know until it happens one way or another
  2. Oh crap. I seriously despise that show. And Arrow: Also, it made sense Magical Mystery Cure wasn't made the ending of the show and they made the right choice by continuing the series. Because MMC was mainly focused on Twilight. While she may be leader and one of the most important characters of the series, there were others who needed to reach their arc as well. Others like the Mane Six, CMC, even a few minor characters and also Princess Luna. It wouldn't have been fair if they ended it where Twilight reaches their destiny and the others haven't
  3. I think people are free to express their opinions and reasons as to why the show should end/continue. If these topics are beginning to overwhelm you, then simply let them be and search for other topics or go as far to create a new one that doesn't revolve around it. There is nothing wrong with some people thinking a show being milked is a bad thing just like how there is nothing wrong with you believing it's NOT bad thing. We will see in the years to come on what happens because despite all the discussions around it, Hasbros will make the decision. Nothing wrong with making predictions until then.
  4. I'm not counting out the possibility things will continue which was why I mentioned things ending at a Season 7 too. But those reasons still aren't reasons as to why the show should go on forever, In ANY show with a large fandom or franchise there will ALWAYS be something coming up or a new challenge for our characters. There is no such thing as REAL end for any show. That's why in my first post, I said that if G4 ends, it will probably open up a new chapter for G5. Maybe...none of us know. Even if things turns out to be successful, it's still possible to end things on a successful note rather than continuing too far or overstretching it. If you play out something for too long, odds are, things will backfire for the franchise. *shrugs* but I suppose we'll see in the years ahead
  5. There is a possibility that the series may end soon for reasons hypnosparkle has said and other reasons I've already provided in another thread. But...then again....I won't try to count out the possibility things will continue even longer. Who knows what Hasbros might have up their sleeve. And though I don't EVER want FiM to end, I don't think it'll do the franchise good to OVERSTRETCH a tv show because they never end well. Also, I don't think the Fandom will be the reason why FiM will continue. There has been too many shows ending DESPITE the demands of a fandom. Fandoms will always outlive the franchises anyway.
  6. Thanks for the link!! And Arrowstormen: The reason why a few people are making these assumptions is because of the growth we're seeing and the arcs that are being reached. Whenever these things happen, it's pretty much a possibility with the end drawing near. These episodes aren't like the others where they learn a lesson and move forward....they are reflecting deeper and long awaited closures and growth that started the series in the first place.
  7. Maybe it's just me, but predictable would be the last thing in how I'd describe the episode. Perhaps, yeah it's true you already know that Fluttershy was behind the huge scare she gave the mane 5, but what really slapped me in the face was how she decided to NOT continue like that in the future. They came up with a very convenient solution to her participating in a dark celebration (well not dark....but basically Halloween) and she decided what was best for HER and not for THEM There are so many ways to interpret that. One way is religiously. I was raised in a Christian home where we weren't even allowed to celebrate Halloween. When I got older, my folks decided to loosen up and allow my sister and I to go to Halloween parties and actually celebrate it. Despite the possibility of my folks being a huge part in some celebrations and it being harmless, they would always politely decline because they knew themselves well enough to know that Halloween isn't something they do. No offense on anyone, but that's how it was. Another way is that is taught this lesson: You don't always have to do EVERYTHING your friends do. BEcause there will come a time when they'll participate in things you're not comfortable with. And despite them having so many good reasons in why you should do it with them, you'll have to stand up for yourself and have them understand "Yo it's fun and all, but it's not me" While it might not have been the MOST EPIC episode in the season, it's the most insightful. And that's what wins my vote....not in how epic an episode can be, but in what it teaches and how it was executed. I'll even say this was better than the recent CMC episode in general. Sure their finale was beautiful and amazing...but episode wise, Scare Master is what I'm leaning on
  8. Could you give me a link to that? And if they do, I'm strongly curious what surprises will spring up for them to stretch FiM that long. If they pull it off WITHOUT making the series become a drag, then I'd be very impressed. Even so, that's still only the franchise. It's still possible for the tv series to end pretty soon. Maybe they will continue the tv series for another five years, but that public statement still wouldn't count out the possibility that it'll end sooner than that
  9. I'm not basing the possible ending for FiM just on the CMC getting their cutiemarks....I'm only including that as a factor to my prediction. I've seen where the CMC episode have caused discussions about FiM ending soon, but it was actually "Scare Master" and a second look at "Do Princess Dream of Magic Sheep" and other episodes that made me come up with this conclusion. It's the Growth. I wasn't even a huge fan of that last CMC episode because how poorly executed it was imo. But I explained my thoughts on that already in another thread
  10. The reason why I see it as one of the best episodes if because I'm fairly proud of Fluttershy. She isn't the BEST pony in my opinion, but she is certainly the most interesting character out of the full cast. She struggles more than anyone....and if there was ever an episode that had such a deep and meaningful lesson, it's this one. It shows that she is growing. She's beginning to push through her fears and actually channel them into something better. I know she's had many episodes in the past that is similar, but this is the first one where she actually carries her past lessons and uses them to help her with a new chapter in her journey to recovery. I call it recovery because she does have bad anxiety and suffers from it everyday. Maybe even a few other illnesses can be included in the mix, but I won't go into details with that subject. And even after finding a way to be a part of Nightmare Night..and actually being good at it...she politely declines to ever do it again because it isn't something she enjoys. This is a pony who's making a very adult decision to not be pressured into participating in something that "isn't their cup of tea" as she stated it. The lessons from "Bats", "Filli Vanilli" and "Putting your hoof down" were all implemented in this episode beautifully. I know from a more broad point of view, it's an average episode, but I like to take closer looks when it comes to Fluttershy episodes because they teach more than others.
  11. After watching "Scare Master" not too long ago (please refrain from discussing that topic here, I don't want to ruin it for some people who hasn't seen the episode and is waiting for it to be aired ) and seeing CMC episode....I'm afraid FiM may be ending around Season 6 or maybe even a Season 7 I've been seeing some other discussions about this hunch, and I have to agree with the others: this may be leading to a close. In another discussion I created, I was pointing out how I am seeing some growth within the characters like Rainbowdash, and even Rarity that we haven't seen in the other 4 seasons. I mentioned how repetitive some lessons were and how the mane six didn't seem to carry what they learned in later episodes. Fluttershy, for example, would always have to struggle over the same things which were understandable given her situation but even now she's beginning to grow. I would even go as far to say she's the most stable mane character out of the six within Season 5. Outside of the mane six, spike is HUGE example of how repetitive the lessons were since in most of his episodes, they keep telling him is isn't as useless as he feels. Anyway, I guess I was pointing out how each of the mane six are slowly but surely reaching their arc though I wouldn't say they have reached it yet. Even the supporting casts like the CMC (them finding their true calling and getting their cutie marks) and Luna (her finally forgiving herself and letting go of the past) are beginning to reach their arcs as well if they haven't already. Everyone is starting to find themselves and get their stuff together. My thoughts: that once everyone has reached their arc and there is closure delivered to the G4 series....we will be left with a new chapter for the next generation to finish and for them to reach an arc that the end of this series will most likely open. I honestly wish it won't end soon....but it's a shock FiM has managed to survive this long. Even with a some sloppy episodes and mistakes Hasbros have made, they've managed to keep things going without making it feel dragged on. I'm pretty sure the mark FiM is leaving even though they haven't ended yet, the fandom will stay strong and move onward after the show reaches their end. Plus I hear there is a movie coming out in 2017? Definitely predicting the FiM will come to a close
  12. Finished watching Scare Master. My heart is so full of joy right now

  13. I am sorry to bring this up now, but I really can't wait to discuss this episode because I seriously enjoyed it. If you haven't seen the leaked episode, I wouldn't suggest reading any further than this since this does contains spoilers. As a matter of fact. I will wait till my next reply to begin the discussion. For now, I am wondering how many of you have seen it?
  14. Just got done watching the full episode. It was leaked. Itunes failed to realize the episode was pushed to later date. Hasbros wanted it aired closer to the day of Halloween since it was focused on Nightmare night. Won't say the details, but damn it, it was the best episode I've ever seen in season five YET
  15. Yep! Not sure if you read my introduction for him, but he pretty much found me and was about 6weeks old. Already training him on a leash and training him for when he's being handled at the vet as well as making sure he socializes with other animals. He's about 12weeks now.....and doing pretty good
  16. *nods* Thanks for sharing your perspective and I do agree that perhaps it's the song and the huge beautiful shock of the ending is what saved this episode from being seen as a dissapointment by many. And I agree.....I did like/dislike DT better as an antagonist. Well...not entirely. I actually find it a bit cute she changed her attitude. But if I was to choose between having her stay as a minor antagonist character for the CMC or for her back story to be what it was in the MMC episode....I would choose the first because it wasn't creative at all. If Hasbros gave DT the spotlight purposely to satisfy the fans who wanted more on her, they should've given her story.....more. it's clear they focused on the lyrics and delivery of her solo though because that was the only phenomenal thing about her throughout the development they tried to give her.
  17. Yeah he pretty much just accepts it in defeat. I just posted another one of his costumes. He seems to enjoy the other more
  18. Here's a short little video I uploaded for you guys to check out. Pretty much brought his inside out with this costume:
  19. Made a blog to.show off my baby

  20. His lion costume because he think he owns everything the light touches. (That's one of my roommates in the background)
  21. Intro: This is my kitten Oliver. I moved from Florida to Ohio to live with two buddies I met through another site since we were close and Global Moderators together. My cat back in Florida died soon after, and a week after, this little guy literally ran up to me out of nowhere. So yeah I sold my soul to him that day
  22. Diamond's story didn't seem too interesting in my opinion since her story has been told too many times to count. Maybe it's me who's seeing it as a very common cliche, but that's how it felt. I didn't see any real effort in trying to make Diamond's story a little better. Her solo wasn't bad though, and I believe that's why many look past the flaws within her backstory. The song had awesome lyrics that made sense to some degree. But otherwise, I was just disappointed that there was no other effort. And I tried looking back in the other CMC episodes and count it towards them getting their cutiemarks, but it still seems rushed nevertheless. Even "Magical mystery cure" had a better pace within the same time frame. Perhaps because it all revolved on one issue whereas in this episode, it led to one predicament to the other that didn't have a solid flow as it should have been. I understand that each DID lead to the next and made sense, but as I said, it could have been done better. I think the episode should have STARTED out with Diamond's dilemma, and then let it flow to the big ending. Plus? Even after Diamond changed her attitude, she still never directly gave Silverspoon the credit she deserved. She gave the spotlight to the CMC, which was okay, but it would have been more meaningful had she address Silverspoon instead since she was the main person who was at her side through her good days and many bad ones. Granted, in DT's final song, it seemed they made up but....it lacked that genuine feeling. Which is what I meant by this being random and not well thought out. 22 minutes is plenty of time for a well paced episode especially with the CMC getting their cutiemarks....because in the past, they were well paced even in Twilight's episode. I feel that had it not been for the fact that the CMC wouldn't have gotten their cutiemarks in such a beautiful fulfilling way, and DT's solo would not have been entertaining and heartfelt as it was, the episode would have completely flunked. I do value your opinions though and have taken them into consideration and in some cases you guys do have a point, but as I said, I just think it could have been better. I wasn't expecting the impossible from Hasbros, but I know from their work in other episodes, this one definitely deserved more.
  23. Bought my kitten some Halloween costumes. He doesn't seem to want to destroy the world, so that's good

Awesome. Already created on and have one of his costumes posted

  24. I never thought about that being a valid reason why the episode was rushed. I just didn't feel it because of how much hype it had and then.....it just happened too quickly for me to enjoy it. The plot was everywhere in my opinion and too predictable. Pip needs help to win, he wins, now silver spoon speaks out, but then it goes to Diamond having a jerky mom to explain why Diamond is terrible. It wasn't well written and despite te being limited, it was still rushed. I've watched episodes that seemed better paced within the same time frame. Every other CMC episode was well paced....I don't appreciate the one where they actually get their cutiemarks had to feel that way. I'm not saying the episode was bad, it just didn't live up to it's full potential. I feel as though it was a beautiful moment that should've been better written with a better story. Maybe if they would've rained focused on helping pip, then help him discover his cutiemark and then they get theres. It was just too....random for me for it to actually he a solid episode
