My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Twilight Sparkle How did you find MLP Forums?: The deep depths of the internet How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: By being dragged kicking and screaming into it to find out in the end how wonderful it actually is, as I imagine most males over the age of 30 did. Hello everyone! Well let's see.. where to begin. My username is Chronamut (craw-nuh-mutt) and I am 32 years old. I have been watching mlp since well.. the 80s when it first started when my older sister would watch it and I'd just sort of watch whatever she wanted. I resisted this community for as long as I could. I saw all the memes and it just came off to me as.. well you know how it came off. I ran an irc room and gradually all my regulars started to become bronys, making references I couldn't understand. So one day I decided to watch an episode, just so I could at least understand some of the references. I will admit, I still hate the intro, but one episode led to guilty pleasure of watching another, and another, and yet another... until I was watching them all. But more than the episodes themselves I started to really enjoy the culture growing around it - things like "bronys react" caught my eye, and well, being gay, some of the hot bronys in the video too. Everyone was funny, and it just seems like a fun lighthearted community. ----- I came form a not so lighthearted community. I came from a community called newgrounds, where hatred and tearing people down was the name of the game. After all of that imploded I decided I wanted a new community, where people would like me for me, regardless, and where I could just enjoy myself I can be a bit sarcastic and pervy at times, buut that's just me. I am generally a fun loving guy unless you push me. I am not new to the internet or forums. I have been admin and moderator to forums and I also am a published writer, a musician with over 300 songs under my belt, and an artist with works in galleries and also sold online you can find all my stuff on http://ShawnDall.comand all the other links in the about section on that page <3 ----- I also teach spirituality, and let me tell you, mlp has some of the best positive energy around and does a great job at teaching unity to a new generation of young adults. I hope to just have fun and enjoy this series as it blossoms, and enjoy the fan culture that forms around it. I love how meta the series is and how they pander to their audience and use elements from the fandom in the show - that is actually the first instance of such an active fanbase/staff based interaction I have ever seen. I used to also be a flash animator - and the detail of the series itself reflects a lot of my own detail in my own flash works and thus I can really appreciate the detail and effort that has gone into the show. I love the remixes of the songs the best, and often listen to them while I am at work - they brighten my day! ----- that is all I guess - you can call me chronamut or shawn or chron or whatever you like also please get the chance to get to know me, I hope to just relax and have fun, maybe showcase some art and music here, although it is not mlp related, and yeah, see ya around! -shawn-
