Rarity is a self made woman. She built her business from the ground up and achieved her goal of having a shop in Canterlot. It was not easy and took a long time to do but she worked hard to make her dreams come true. Rarity does what she loves and that is making dresses despite the fact that Ponyville ponies do not normally wear many clothes. She enjoys creating and offering those creations to ponies who do want them. Her romance life style is also worth noting. She is the only one of the Mane 6 that even has a love life. The show is able to provide different scenarios without becoming too complicated for younger audiences to understand. She does have crushes and tries to make things work out. When that fails, she is willing to breakup rather then force a bad relationship. I believe the number one reason for why Rarity is the most important role model of the Mane 6 is SHE HAS FLAWS. No one is perfect. We strive to be better people and the only way to do that is to learn from our mistakes, which Rarity has done repeatedly and has become the most mature of the group. There are two things about Rarity that I have heard many say time and time again: #1 "Rarity never has a bad episode." #2 "Rarity has moved way up their favorite pony list from when they first started watching the show." Rarity must be doing something right in order to accomplish that.

Which montage would you like better if the Season 6 intro to MLP:FiM is replaced.

It would not feel right for her to become one of the Mane 6. She did not get her cutie because of the rainboom as far as we know. She is not apart of the elements of harmony, the tree of harmony, nor throne at the cutie map. She is not represented as one of the five outer stars on Twilight's cutie mark. We barely get to see Trixie and Discord so Starlight will probably get similar treatment. Hasbro is not pumping out tons of Starlight merchandise like they did for Princess Twilight. All I have seen is a design-a-pony pop (that toy line has not sold very well) and a brushable figure.

Twilight is still the most powerful unicorn. Her alicorn status is more political power than actual magical power because she only gained flight and cloud walking so far. The other alicorns are only OP in a specialized magic. Twilight's special talent is magic and friendship is magic. Both Twilight and Starlight rewrote one of Starswirl's spells, but it was the power of friendship that allows Twilight to actually acsend and not the spell itself. The same way she defeated Trixie with the Alicorn amulet. Twilight's power comes from her 5 friends (sorry Spike). Rarity has the exact same friends as Twilight, yet she can't do the same things Twilight can. If you took Leonardo da Vinci's paintbrush away from him; he could not have made the Mona Lisa. If you used that very same brush, there is no way you could create anything close to a priceless painting. Besides,a rainbowfied Rarity could still beat Starlight.
