  1. @@Contrast, @@The Down Trotten, @@DwhitetheGamer, @@cwhip9, He listened to the ponies words and looked at the seal on his own letter, while War's letter was sealed with the mark of both princesses this bat pony only had one from Luna. He must be a part of the lunar guard then, a group War had heard about but never seen in action. However War thought a uniform was self explanatory and far more about the protection it offered then authority. The thought process of these ponies continued to boggle him. Well this one did have a gauntlet and that was something. When crescent continued speaking War's eyes widened in alarm...he didn't pass? So he wasn't even a guard!? War kept his out word composure but on the inside was screaming. Sure War wasn't in the guard but he could see his own qualifications he reminded himself. Crescent said not to worry and if he had been selected then he must have some unseen skill that places him here. War grunted and when the grey pony extended his hoof gave it a skeptical look for a moment before shaking it. It wasn't that he didn't wish to shake with the pony but that again he felt in was unprofessional, a salute would have been preferable but then again this pony wasn't a solider. "War, I'm the commander of this operation. The blue earth pony behind me is Copper Strikes, a private also assigned to this mission." He turned from the pony to gesture to the locals with a hoof, "These kind ponies where just telling us information that may aid in the mission." He hadn't heard Gears offer to the other ponies and took noticed she was staying despite the fact she had been leaving a moment ago.
  2. The circus? War was more confused then offended, he wondered what type of circus would need a pony dressed in this much armor, a dangerous one he guessed. War chuckled "No, no circus here." He continued to listen to the pony becoming much more interested as he went along. "Perhaps these sounds are related to our mission. It is good that is all they have experienced, seems we can learn and hopefully stop whatever is going on before it has the chance to injure some pony." War needed to find the other listened members of his unit but didn't want to waste time waiting for others to show up. If none did that was no excuse for leaving the mission incomplete or delaying it until something did happen to some pony. He and Copper would have to be enough. "Would you care to show us were ponies are hearing theses sounds or at the very least point the area out?" He stopped when a shadow of another flying pony passed by, looking up he noted a Pegasus with a light grey coat and a multi color red and white mane as he came to a hover and landed nearby. Or he thought it was a Pegasus at first until he got a better look at his wings which looked more like a dragons...ah it was a bat pony. War pulled out the princesses scroll and looked over his unit members again, it indicated the other two were indeed bat ponies. The stallion was called Crescent and he wondered if this was the mentioned bat pony. War had never met a bat pony before and wondered what they were like, he took some guesses that they were probably just like Pegasi with different wings. Probably more nocturnal and he doubted they controlled weather but probably had something similar. What looked really odd was that the approaching pony didn't seem to have a cutie mark, he hadn't been aware bats didn't get them...or something...he also noted he was wearing a gauntlet and that seemed to be his only armor. Oh these guard ponies. War turned is attention to the new pony. "Greetings, you wouldn't happen to be Crescent would you?" @@Contrast, @@DwhitetheGamer, @@The Down Trotten, @@cwhip9
  3. I don't have a pony love but I do have an alien love :/ ....curse you bioware...
  4. I think I would enjoy it honestly, more so if I was my Main OC or something. It would make the world so different and while I do think it would be chaos and panic a first people would have to adapt and once we did it would be interesting to see how the world would change. Literally us bronies would have an advantage in understanding how pony kind worked, we would have to tell Pegasi they controlled the weather and every pony would have to learn to do it together. Unicorns would be responsible for anything we still needed that required hands for, though again every pony would have to learn how to use magic. Earth ponies would have it the easiest honestly. But life would be less complicated, we would be ponies so we can live off eating grass and plants so no or less world hunger. And rather then stress to find a job our cutie marks would tell us what we were good at so that would be less stressful. Honesty it would just all around be interesting and a strange to think about.
  5. @Blitz Boom @Wolves "It would be nice to have some more variety in this town, it's true that most produce seems to be apple or apple related, I prefer carrots myself and while there are some other stuff here and there theses ponies love their apples." When Happy turned the conversation back his way he paused a moment to gather his thoughts. "I wouldn't say I'm set here, the idea of travel appeals highly to me but currently my family and I are staying in ponyville on the princesses request so I can't leave it just yet." "I wouldn't mind the idea of guarding ponies that need to venture into the ever free forest or something similar but I don't know about bounty hunting. I would be picky probably to picky to get many jobs, I would not just want to hunt down some pony blindly for bits, I would need to know why they wanted this pony hurt and would judge their reasoning myself before acting on it. I could see the disagreeing with my contractor as a deal breaker and I would not be surprised to finding myself with a tendency to exchange blows with my employer if they turned out to be the villain in the situation. " He chuckled a bit at the thought. "No if I'm going to fight it's going to be for a good cause, it's should not be about gratifying my desire to use my talent, it should be about using my talent in a way that helps others."
  6. It's considered animal abuse to dye an animals fur, I have seen many stories of people getting arrested for dying pets sport team colors. For horses their are special dyes someone can get that is allowed. Black horses fur for example can lighten if left in the sun to long, they literally bleach. Therefore there is black horse dye that was created to help keep black horses black, usually race or show horses due to the need for aesthetics. I do not believe legal horse dye would come in those colors, so imma say yeah it would be considered abuse, unless of coruse they somehow do in which case it would be allowed. Though money wise I imagine it's really expensive. A single horse is a lot of money much less 6, a person is required to have 1 acre of land per horse or it could be considered abuse for not having enough space. Then shoes, feed, saddles, the list goes on. They live a long time to so one must be prepared and able to manage them for years. This doesn't even take into account if they have cribbing issue, a health problem and a stable to shelter them. I live in the horse capital of the USA and have taken several riding classes so I'm just speaking based on the knowledge I have picked up over the years.
  7. Relax, I think you read to much into my post not trying to start a fight over differing speculations, simply using what I have learned about real life royalty to give my opinion. It's cool if you don't agree with it but the show hasn't shown anything one way or another. Honestly the last thing on the creators mind is probably stuff like this, they just wanted a cute wedding episode for people to enjoy and not trying to get all "game of thrones" with my little pony. It probably wouldn't have been a very good episode if the wedding was something political, though shining armor wouldn't be the right canadate for politics. An arranged marriage between blood blue and queen chrysalis to unite pony and changling kind might be interesting though.
  8. Marrying royalty doesn't actually make someone royalty. If a normal women married a prince she becomes a a dutchess, not a princess, it's actually considered (or was in the past) disgraceful for royalty to marry anyone who wasn't since all royal marriages are political and the kingdom gained nothing from shining and cadences marriage. In fact it just makes her look worse from a political stand point, regardless he wouldn't gain status or royal blood by marrying into it, therefore undiserving of being an alicorn.
  9. @The Down Trotten @Contrast @DwhitetheGamer War remained silent letting Copper speak but before he could respond or comment on what Copper had said considering he was also curious, another local trotted over. He let the stallion make his inquiries and then the mare calling herself 'Gears' respond again. War nodded at the red mare understanding her relationship with the locals. He took note of the strange insect's reaction to her words, maybe it was a pet or something, whatever it was it seemed intelligent to a degree. "Greetings, I am War and this is Copper Strikes, we apologize for intruding on your homestead but we are not here without purpose or order. We have been scent to investigate some issue we were hoping a local could tell us about, all we know for sure is that it's magical in origin. Our goal is take care of it and then leave you ponies in peace, we need to make sure every pony is safe therefore I can assure you we do not wish to bother any pony with our presents."
  10. @Contrast @DwhitetheGamer He didn't get the chance to respond since Copper seemed to want to take the lead though he wasn't sure how he felt about her believing they might abduct her, did the Royal guard do that often? Or maybe he just looked the part of a stallion that might kidnap some pony, he wasn't sure which of those Scenarios he'd prefer. "I am called War and this is Copper Strikes, as he stated we have no intention of harming you or any citizen. Ah, a mechanic you say, quite a rare talent. You must deal with the locals often which could be beneficial as to why we are here. That is if you have dwelled here long," "We are here on Royal business and need to learn about a disturbance in the area, have you noticed anything strange occurring, anything at all no matter how small could be beneficial. From ponies acting odd, to lights in the sky." "Perhaps these 'Things breaking in the swamp' is related if they needed to hunt you down due to it. What sort of issues are the locals facing with this, anything off about the devices that ask you to repair?"
  11. Absolutely awful, the worst I have felt in a long time...
  12. @@DwhitetheGamer, @@Contrast, He again listened to the blue pony finish all he had to say before responding "I can see your thought process however you should always pack some whether you walk around clad in armor for all to see or not. What happens if a stealth mission goes sideways and it turns into force or worse a battle for your life, you need to be prepared for anything." he shook his head and his ears lowered making him look rather angry even if his feelings were more annoyed than anything. So Copper believes he can handle himself yet he just admitted he is green not only in the military but also in combat or at least that was the way he made it sound meaning he hadn't been training long. He wouldn't comment on it, he had probably laid into the soldier enough...at least for the moment but he would make note of it since he would need to keep this pony out of action. Lastly, he still didn't understand the ponies motivations for silence, he might have understood if he had again referred that he thought it was a stealth mission and that every pony needn't know what he was doing but this explanation was odd. "Why would someone causing a disturbance that required royal attention tell every pony about it? He would have to be a fool to do something like that, any of these ponies could turn him in, is he suppose to trust the entire village? No, he would be better off playing a victim who has no information about the anomaly just like any pony else. But that is also making the assumption some pony did this on purpose and will malintent. While I will not rule out the possibility as all things are possible, however, you seem to be a pony of a lot of assumptions without gathering the information required to do a proper analysis. That can be dangerous, that's how good ponies end up in the dungeon or executed. This very well could be a natural phenomenon or even an accident, but for the moment let's not rule anything out." "We should begin by actually speaking to a local," and as if on queue a red mare was trotting up to them. War took note of the strange insect buzzing around her but he had never seen a para spite before and thus had now idea what it was, probably guessing it was a common insect of the swamp but he kept his face neutral on her approach. The Blue stallion had mentioned he was worried ponies wouldn't tell him if they indeed knew anything, War hopped his asking would be received differently if that were to be the case. After all Copper looked like nothing more than a very blue stallion, War of the other hoof was clad in blacken armor that was not common for the guard giving off the impression he was either a high rank or maybe a different group all together and that probably made him look far more like an antagonist then someone here to aid the princesses. He was also a very large pony regualarly that appeared menacing but he was rather polite and wasn't prone to violence, nor did he intend to act any different to the ponies he met here. He had no intention of threatening a local, he would let his appearance do that for him no need to use words. It was his own version of speaking gently but carry a big stick. "Greetings," he began once the mare was in earshot, "If you do not mind may my cohort and I ask you a few questions?" he kept but a formal appearance but his tone was far more relaxed than it had been when talking to the other member in his unit.
  13. @@DwhitetheGamer, War made no reaction as he allowed Copper to make his case, ah, War understood. He was green. Though he wondered what he meant when he said 'Normal life' and what that had to do with learning. Did all regular ponies lean in to speak, if so War hadn't picked up on it, regardless it seemed Copper had a rather odd reason for not speaking to any pony and that needed to be addressed. He noted he was skilled in stealth or so he claimed, maybe it was related to why he was chosen for this mission, either way, War would need to see him in action. "Why are you not in uniform," he knew his own armor was not common military grade but rather his own personal set, however, he expected even if this pony did not own a set himself he would have been issued one." I guess there is nothing that can be done about that now but I trust if we encounter any violence you can handle yourself. But considering you don't have bodily protection or a weapon try to keep any acts of heroism to minium, I don't want a pony mortality wounded on my watch, especially one that put himself in harms way without proper gear. I'm I clear?" "Furthermore, what seems to be the problem with the locals that leads you to assume they are untrustworthy, have they given you any issues and have you attempted to discuss it with them before making the assumption?"
  14. @@DwhitetheGamer, War was surprised when the stallion introduced himself as the pony he was looking for, "oh" he uttered before catching himself. It was at that moment he studied the pony, a blue earth pony with a really spiky mane and I spiky... thing he couldn't really make out of a cutie mark let alone understand the talent that went with it. The pony had spoken in a very casual tone, not what he would have expected of the guard and didn't seem to carry himself like a soldier, at least not one on a mission. He was a little sceptical that this was one of the ponies Celestia had placed on such a task. Perhaps this was a con-pony jumping onto War's confusion for a chance to make some bits. If he were a solider where was his armor or weapon, he really didn't look like a military pony. He believed Copper was being truthful after he mentioned the occurrence, although he felt the stallion was behaving rather nonprofessionally, leaning into his commanding officer and ignoring proper etiquette. War didn't know what to make of the pony but if this was, in fact, a pony he would be leading things didn't seem to be in his favor. Maybe this was all some scheme to mess with him, maybe he was meant to mess up and get himself banished to Tartarus. He shook his head to clear his mind of the thought, that would be ridiculous. He was a little annoyed that the pony already admitted he needed help looking, what if War had not been summoned, what was Copper's plan? Apparently to look around until he happened upon it since he was whispering, indicating he felt that the mission was a secret one and had no intention of asking the locals about the issue. While to War that was the first step in any mission when he hadn't been ordered into silence. Though still concerned about this pony's qualifications for a royal mission, War began, "Yes, I am here about the magical disturbance. But may I ask what rank do you hold and what is your military experience? Also if you have any knowledge or skills that may be beneficial to the current mission reveal them now. If you have found any information regarding our objective while present in the village share that info now." He gave the pony before him a stern commander like look to make sure he got his point across, this pony needed to explain his presence and use to the mission and he needed to be convincing if he wanted the Pegasus to take him seriously for the rest of their task.
  15. @@DwhitetheGamer, He had been looking at his list and hadn't been paying attention to the pony until spoken to, rolling up the note he placed it in a saddle bag before addressing the pony. "Greetings, I am called War, I'm looking for a few ponies here on royal business. Would you happen to have met a pony by Copper Strikes?"
  16. @@The Down Trotten, @@DwhitetheGamer, Heavy hoof beats trotted down the forest path leading the large red Pegasus War to his destination, a town in the southern part of the land named Dopplesluander. He had left a few days ago from his temporary residence in ponyville at the surprising request of the princesses. He was shocked at first when receiving the letter of summons but then found it only logical that this was a test to prove his loyalty and worth to the country. He had left the very next morning for the town, packing his armor and weapon than flying most of the way. Only now that he approached the town he had landed dawned his armor and placed his sword at his side, he needed to look professional when he addressed his unit. Yeah, his unit, if this summons hadn’t been interesting enough Celestia had placed him in charge of a small group of ponies to look into a magical disturbance. While he had never led a military unit, he had been in charge of his family most his life, running them as if they were in the army. He believed he was qualified for the position but slightly nervous as the mission was riding on him. He understood that being the commander was not to take the credit for a successful mission, but to take the blame if things went wrong and it was something he was prepared to do. He hoped the ponies she had placed him in charge of where qualified and with that willing to listen to an artificial pony. He made his way to the outskirts of the small town, it was eerily quiet and still. This town was located in the middle of the swamp and War wondered why any pony would want to live out here? It seemed dangerous; ponies probably got lost in the mash or worse sunk into it to never have their bodies retrieved. As he looked about he noted the train tracks looked underused as if ponies didn’t travel in and out often by train nor must anything be shipped. Usually, a settlement was started due to some resource in the location so he wondered what brought ponies way out here, maybe the privacy, maybe he would learn a bit more about the place from this ‘disturbance’ Whatever it was he wasn’t going to learn anything from standing there. He entered the town checking his letter for the list of ponies he was to lead, they must be in town or had yet to arrived since no pony seemed to be waiting for him. The first on his list was an Earth Pony called Copper Strikes, he decided to track him down first.
  17. Considering what I have seen of Robots and Aliens apocolopies and what they look like at the sametime (Mass Effect Reapers) I'm going with zombies. We as a race are just far better off and there are countless examples of this.
  18. It's okay I'm an artist myself so I understand, I'll be patient but your ponies are so good I must admit how truly excited I am for mine XD
  19. Yeah when I was introducing it to my friends, now we are all bronies
  20. @Tacoma War continued to listen in on the conversation, it seemed the Alicorn of the night wasn't about to forgive him so easily. War wondered what exactly the little blue Pegasus had done to offend? Whatever it was it didn't sound like it was going to get mentioned. Luna expressed that he was going to have to make it up to her through his actions and War couldn't help but to agree. He found himself nodding behind the door the heard Night ask for a place to stay. War backpedaled from the door assuming after that conversation Luna certainly wouldn't let him stay in her room would she? If that was the case they would have to come out, if not this minute soon and War didn't want to be seen here. He quickly scurried down the hall and away from the princess's chambers. He was still interested in what he had heard but knew that was all he would get for the moment. He decided to push it from his mind and instead left the castle, his urge to train gone. He had to admit he felt a little dirty for spying, it wasn't usually like him to behave like that but then again he had never been around a princess before and somehow that made it far more interesting. Still he felt embarrassed and like he needed to shower. Maybe having a look around the city would take his mind off of it and make him feel better. He was new here after all and would rather not end up in another situation like that just because he was lost. He needed to formalize himself with the area, maybe meet a few ponies as he did.
  21. War's favorite is probably The Running of the Leaves, not sure if it counts but they said it was annual so... He likes busy and physically straining work and activities. Running the Leaves would benefit him both physically while also being fun and productive. He just loves the feeling of accomplishment that comes along with hard work. I don't think he would have a least favorite, while he doesn't have a special some pony he isn't a jealous or needy pony. He would just be happy to see others happy.
  22. Thank you, he looks so good I'm glad you enjoyed doing him
  23. @Blitz Boom @Wolves Cyan spoke up first so War remained silent until she had explained, animals or photography? She mentioned her cutie mark so he looked back at it with a tilt of his head, naw he still couldn't see it. "Wildlife sounds interesting wouldn't mind looking into it myself but otherwise." He looked back at his armor covered cutie mark and thought on if he should answer fully or not. He didn't have a normal one so he wasn't sure if ponies ever got talents like his, he didn't want to worry them but at the same time didn't wish to be ashamed of his mark. "Well I enjoy battle," he watched for their reaction and whatever they may be he continued. "My talent is in combat but I don't think their are many savory career options in that field." He gave a light chuckle trying to ignore the tingling in his cutie mark at the thought of a good fight. "If there is nothing to be found there maybe something physically demanding, I'm a rather strong pony and do enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with hard labor." He gestured to his size which was larger then that of the common earth pony even though he was a Pegasus. "While on the topic of careers it sounds like you and your brother have an interesting setup, care to explain? I mean based on what I have observed Ponyville is a farm town and tends to provide farmed goods to other places in Equestria including the capital. I have never seen any farm land near Cantorlot, it's rather interesting to do the opposite. Is it hard to make a profit selling goods to ponies that usually grow stuff themselves?" War hoped that question would distract from his own always career goals, though he had to admit he had been curious about that anyways it was just equally good timing.
