  1. Queen Chrysalis. Favorite villain, too, partly because she's part of the group that never got reformed and (especially in her interactions with Starlight) showed that sometimes, no matter how hard you try, you can't get through to everyone...

Oh, and Chrysalis has the coolest design. The other rulers don't even come close in that regard.

  2. If Twilight were to appear, honestly I can't see it being much different from the projection of her that the Tree of Harmony used in FIM. Like a Force Ghost from Star Wars, providing guidance but never fighting. Might not even be the real Twilight... or it could be, but she'd hold back because she knows Sunny and co. won't grow if she defeats enemies for them.

G5 seems to be distancing itself so much from the Mane 6 (while remaining in the same universe) that there's no need for excessive interference by either living or ghostly G4 characters.

  3. Got to meet Bill Murray recently. His gate at the airport was right next to mine. He's such a chill guy to just casually chat with while waiting for a flight. Like, genuinely kind to random people in public who won't get in his face for photos or whatnot just because he's a famous actor. It was a very cool half hour or so before his flight started boarding.

  4. In the next few days, I get to see my grandfather for what may be the final time if his condition continues to deteriorate like it has over the past year. And step into a house I haven't been in for 10 years. That's gonna feel strange.

  5. I doubt it. Even if I do end up enjoying it in the long run, FIM set the bar very high. Even the worst moments in FIM weren't so bad that I even considered not watching it anymore. My reaction was more like "that episode/character irked me, but this writing & production team has proven they can do great things." And I'm willing to give MYM a chance. Not expecting it to be on par with FIM apart from maybe the occasional episode, but I'm also not assuming it's gonna be complete trash just because the introduction to MYM hasn't wowed me (and neither has TYT or even the movie to be completely honest).

  6. Aviators - The Cards You Hold

It's been over 10 years now since this guy started uploading brony music. He's long since shifted focus completely... last original MLP song was Chaos Theory back in 2016, I think? He's changed so much as a musician & songwriter but he's still a fandom icon in my book and I look forward to a new album or two every year.

  7. I still have an account on one that's about 22 years old, and I created it when that forum was around... 14 years old I believe? I'm inactive but I took a peek inside and it was still going with some of the same regulars (some of whom have accounts from the early 2000s). But I think that's rare. Lots of forums die out after just a few years. I checked out a couple other MLP forums back in 2016 or so but they were pretty much dead... only a 4-5 years after they were created. I joined this one because it seemed to be in much better shape.

Edit: Just peeked again real quick, and some of the regulars in the aforementioned forum from 2000 have accounts from that same year. I can't imagine sticking around that long. But hey, I'm only 24 :P

  8. It's dumb to take God of War, reboot it, and name the reboot God of War even though it's not a remake of the original God of War from 2005. I get that they probably wanted to attract a newer fanbase but it feels weird to me. Activision did this with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019 (though at least the original had "Call of Duty 4" in the title) and they're about to release another Modern Warfare 2. EA did this with Star Wars Battlefront and Star Wars Battlefront II. Like you gotta specify "the 2004 one" or "the 2005 one" whenever you bring it up because the reboots are fresher in people's minds.

  9. I enjoyed the reruns of older stuff like DCAU cartoons and Animaniacs. Didn't care for the newer original series very much. I suppose G.I. Joe Renegades was alright and I gave Littlest Pet Shop a try for a bit just because it had much of the same cast and crew as MLP FIM. It was decent, but I never got into it.

  10. I completely agree with OP, but Make Your Mark could fix that. They'll have full length episodes to work with, which allow for better character development. We've gotten some of it for Izzy with Nightmare Roommate in particular, but I prefer the way episodes like Party of One developed Pinkie Pie's character.

At this point, Hasbro may just cancel the show. 7 years is a long time for any TV series. But there are good potential replacements within the team that is already present. I bet Tabitha could voice any of the Mane 6 apart from Pinkie Pie. Maybe even Princess Celestia. Sure, that would mean more work for her, but she could be up for the challenge.

This is interesting in retrospect, now that Pony Life has come and gone. Tabitha St. Germain got to voice Spike. It sounded a bit weird without Cathy Weseluck as Spike, but ehh... could've been worse.

The G5 recasts have been fine in Tell Your Tale, they don't irk me. But maybe that's because the characters previously appeared only in the G5 movie. I'm not too attached to each VA's portrayal.

  12. I was never all that invested in it. But I might enjoy it if they make certain changes to that world. Given how much the G5 world has changed, and how much time has passed, the Equestria Girls world wouldn't feel so different unless there has also been a significant time skip there. Maybe there's a weird futuristic version of the society on the other side of the mirror.
