Dear Sparklefan1234,

I hope you've been well!

Recently, I've been discussing with all kinds of ponies and creatures on what friendships mean to them and it's been making me reevaluate how I value and see friendships.

One subject that keeps coming up is how people call each other "bestie" and "best friend". Of course, I instantly thought of you and several other lovely ponies here that use those terms a lot.

To be honest, when I first joined the forums, I was not used to hearing those terms used so casually amongst people. Initially, I tried to mirror this feeling of expression and sentiment with other people, but it never felt quite right for myself as I never felt those terms really fit well with me naturally. 

Earlier today, I experienced a moment where I realized that this is simply how some people expressed and share their sentiment with others, similar to how Pinkie Pie is simply happy to see that her friends are there.

As time goes on, I am realizing how deep friendships are and the varying perspectives that we have on relationships with one another. It's made me come to appreciate, be more realistic, and understand friendship a lot more.

For that, I really appreciate it.

Again, I know this is all probably random to you, but you and several other ponies, inadvertently helped me see something that I could not for a long time.
