    Greetings, Pie Sisters!

    How are you?

I was wondering: "What do you like to do to relax after you're done with your work for the day?"

Thank You *so* much for answering my question! :D

"I'm fantabulious! That's a combination between fantastic, fabulous, and delicious! Hehe!"

"That's not the question we're supposed to answer Pinkie!"

"After work I spend time with Mudbriar. He tells me about sticks, I read my rock poetry. We have fun."

"Ugh. Anyway, after work I go back to the cottage and we eat rock soup as a family - which is only really Ma, Pa, and Marble. Then we sleep, so we can do more work tomorrow."

    "Mhmm!"

  2. "Alright everypony, listen up, the name's Limestone Pie and don't forget it! Lately business has been slow on the rock farm, and Pinkie said doing one of these 'AMA' things would help get our name out there. Personally I don't buy it, but I'm willing to try anything at this point. So ask your questions I guess, me and my sisters will answer what you got."

"But because I'm in charge you should ask me the most questions! Just keep 'em short, I got work to get back to - ain't that right Marble?"

    "Mhmm!"

    --------------

Welcome to the Pie Family thread, where you may feel free to ask questions of any of the sisters at your leisure! Have fun with it, but be sure to oblige by a couple ground rules if you'd be so kind :nom:

    • Keep questions safe and within site rules
    • Be mindful not to ask repeat questions
    • Don't spam

I look forward to your questions!

  3. While individual heterophobia might exist, it would be completely daft to assume that it would become a dominant ideology mostly because it defies any real logical sense. In an ideal world ones sexual preference shouldn't matter, people are people and they shouldn't be judged solely on who they like - that kind of mindset is medieval.

I only saw the designs, did not find a leak about their personalities.

Don't quote me on this but the most prevailing thing I've seen is that Applejack is going to be a 'city pony', but to what degree is unclear. I haven't heard anything about the others though, but if the Applejack thing is true that might give a hint as to the direction they wish to take the new show.

While it would be fun to see essentially an inverted Applejack I also hope that's not all she is.

  5. Perhaps it's my own sense of nostalgia but nothing really tops the highs of the season four finale. It was around just as season four was on the air that I got into the fandom and got an opportunity to watch the whole thing on TV. The pure menace of Tirek was so over the top and unexpected for a kids show about colorful pastel horses that I couldn't help but have fun - and that fight sequence is the stuff of legends in terms of children's animation. Not to mention the themes of friendship and how the Mane 6 put it all on the line for each other, you really feel that bond between the group and at the end of the day that's what everyone loves about FIM. All in all it's basically the perfect climax to (in my opinion) the strongest season the show, truly delivering on everything I could have hoped for. I almost wish I could wipe my memory and go back in time just to experience watching it fresh all over again. :wau:

  6. My list of favorite games (in no particular order)

    • Phoenix Wright Collection
    • Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door
    • Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
    • Skyrim
    • Undertale
    • Shovel Knight
    • Stellaris
    • Fire Emblem: Three Houses
    • Luigi's Mansion
    • Hollow Knight
    • Super Smash Bros. Brawl
    • Mario Kart Double Dash
    • Sonic 3 & Knuckles

I'm almost positive I'm forgetting some because I have the recall of a goldfish, but these are the games that mean the most whether for nostalgia or just being plain ol' fun.

I don’t know, after the awesomeness that is FiM, I don’t think Hasbro could be able to top it.

Maybe this should be the last of MLP and just leave the franchise here. Leave it on a high note and they won’t have to worry about topping FiM!

The MLP franchise has a habit of reinventing itself every few years after the previous generation is concluded. As far as I know there is a G5 in the works but details on it currently are very limited and it's hard to tell what's true from false. Like Bakugou said, whether or not it will live up to G4 is purely on the individual but after the success of FIM I'm sure that the folks over at Hasbro will take what works and at least make something fresh out of what they've got.

If you ask me I'm excited to see what sort of new direction a revised setting and cast will give the series. No matter what comes I just hope that everyone gives it a fair shake.

  8. I mean, I think it's essentially confirmed that the ponies will use the same names as the previous generation - like like G4 borrowed from the previous generations. Especially these days the names like "Rainbow Dash" and "Twilight Sparkle" have marketing value to think of it purely in a business sense, so I doubt they're going to just not use them again. Whether this is for better or for worse is up for the individual to decide.

Ultimately it won't live up to G4 in the minds of many fans because the show has an ingrained emotional and nostalgic value, it won't be like we're going in fresh like when we watched G4 for the very first time. In that way the next generation is at a very serious disadvantage.

  9. The last movie I ended up watching was It Part 2, as part of a review I was writing for a local paper. I couldn't have expected that the follow-up to the enjoyable first part would be so forgettable and bog standard. There is too much goofy CGI, aside from a handful of scenes Pennywise isn't that terrifying, the ending feels like a letdown (which is lampshaded multiple times throughout the film, but that doesn't make it any better) - it's essentially as standard a horror film as you can get. Especially since the first part really built a fun team dynamic between the kids you'd think they would follow that up in this film, but they all end up on side tangents to get these memory artifacts and it essentially becomes almost like six divorced mini-movies stitched together before the final act. At least when they are together the actors do pull off that sense of group chemistry.

Overall, not that great but not wholly terrible either, it just betrays the spirit of the first film. I won't be planning to watch it again for some time, if ever.

I don't really have a job at the moment since, I'm currently traveling all over Equestria with Grubber spreading the word of The Storm King's defeat. :)

A fair point, no doubt there are quite a few places to visit, but have you considered what to do after that? If you need help deciding there's always a group of friends waiting in Ponyville when you need them :sassy:

  11. Unicorns are a bit of a conundrum in Equestria. By far they have the most versatility out of the other races because they can manipulate objects around them with their magic, however I think for most unicorns that's about it. The ordinary Equestrian citizen, at least based off what I've seen in the background, is only ever really able to use telekinesis and perhaps one special power related to their talent. Considering the show spends much more time on unicorns that are far and away the exception to the norm, like Twilight(previously), Starlight, and others, there is a bit of a perception that unicorns can be overpowered. However I like to view them as glass canons of shorts, very good when it comes to ranged attacks but they won't fare too well when in a close combat engagement - and Earth Pony would win that bout every time.

Well then,  welcome back! I hoe you'll have just as much fun as you had before on these forums!

Here's hoping as well - I'm having a grand enough time already!

Welcome back! I came back just in time for “The End” myself. Though honestly, I think the fandom’s gonna keep on trucking for quite a while afterwards.

Even if a show is over the fandoms usually persist in force for some time over a period of years. I think by and large the 'brony crazy' has faded, meaning those folks who are left are really going to be in it for the long haul. Though unlike other shows we have the knowledge that a follow-up is around the corner with G5 - even if the setting and characters won't be the ones we're used to.

@Limestone-Pie @ShadOBabe : So, that makes three of us who dropped outta the fandom for a hella long time and came back just in time to see off G4? Welp, welcome back! (And yeah, this fandom's too big and old to die off just like that. Plus, we got G5 to look forward to! Fingers crossed it's just as good.)

Well, I wouldn't ever say that I dropped out of the fandom so to speak. I just stopped following things as closely as I had around the tail end of season seven, not necessarily due to quibbles with the show itself but a lack of time in my schedule to devote to it. Here's looking to the future with G5 though - I can hardly wait to see the new take they're going to have on the ponies we know and love.

  13. Lizards, there is no contest. If a horde of cockroaches was coming straight at me I'd likely just end up passing out on the spot.

Would you rather have to walk barefoot across a field of Lego bricks or concrete slabs that have been sitting in the sun all day?

  14. Granted - you can multitask, but you can only do so with your feet while listening to a Kids Bop album that is constantly stuck on loop.

I wish for Limestone to be my roommate, so we could complain about things together and eat cheap microwave meals.

  15. Personally I really enjoyed Tempest, she was by far my favorite new aspect about the film aside from the journey to different lands across Equestria. While we've had plenty of characters in the show who have had some trauma in the past that makes them go bad I do think Tempest pulls it off the best. She's got suave, menace, and a killer song to boot - I don't see much that you couldn't like about her. It's a shame that she's probably not going to ever appear again due to who voice acted her.

  16. I used to live on a one acre plot of land for about four years where we had horses, chickens, the whole nine yards. One acre doesn't sound like a lot in hindsight but for someone who's moved around constantly it was way bigger than anything we had before. I kinda miss it because of how quiet it was, but I don't miss the work. Horses are not the kinds of animals you pick up just because they're cool!

But I was able to name a bright orange chicken I had Scootaloo. That automatically makes everything worth it.

How did you find MLP Forums?

    Through the internet!

How you became a fan of My Little Pony

It's stranger than you might think, it was because of those really old creepypastas back in the day. I ended up hearing a dramatic reading of one and was so mortified that anyone could write such a thing about cute pastel ponies for kids - how naive I was! All the same, that lead me to check out the show back during the middle of season four - so I have been around for a good long while!

Hey guys, Limestone here! I made a reintroduction thread around these parts ages upon ages ago but I never ended up being as active as I thought, but this time I'm back with a vengeance and hope to be more active this time. Anyhow, I hope to meet some nice folks who are still kicking with these plucky little ponies even with season nine about to end!

I suppose if you want a few more tidbits about myself you can just ask me, hope to see everyponyone  around! :)

  18. Over the din within the lodging house, a sharp bell clanged in the distance. It was a harsh sound, radiating from the Pie Homestead itself, almost has the herald of their overseer's arrival for announcements before the next workday. Through the sparse windows, the gray haze of the early morning light highlighted the cascades of dust that wafted through the heavy air. Ponies of all genders and physiques began to rise from their ridged cots, stretching their fatigued sinews before dawning their drab mining uniforms. One unfortunate stallion sat huntched over a minuscule cast iron stove, trying to fry several eggs on a dented skillet. The whisps of flame seemed barely have to produce anything from the whitish gunk that lay stagnate in the pan, leaving a strange odor hanging in the air.

There too was the tinge of excitement among them, despite the monotonous process. Yesterday they'd all been witness to the delivery of their new gargantuan mining rig, a leviathan of engineering touting a drill massive enough to pierce the bowels of the earth itself. Rumors circulated about who's be the ones selected to assist on the test run that day, and between the whispers and petty jabs there didn't seem to be anyone who would be conclusively chosen. Nevertheless, the opportunity to operate a machine of that size, the first of its kind, would be a feat indeed. Just as the fiddle had begun and workers began to hum familiar songs loud footsteps were heard approaching the precipice.

The gait was unmistakable, Limestone Pie had arrived. Before anyone could really prepare themselves the mare swung open the door. Dressed in her typical overseer's outfit topped with flashy scarf. Her brow was furrowed, a devious grin flashing across her face as she stood in the doorframe for a mere moment. "Were behind already! Get up, slackers! Breakfast will be shortened today," she shouted, harsh voice echoing through the hall in a domineering way. Maud stood directly behind her, remaining as stoic as ever, decked in her usual frock as a clipboard was clutched in her hands.

"You forgot this," the stated flatly, handing it over to her elder sister. Limestone grunted as she took it' eyes carefully scanning whatever may have been on that  slip of paper.

"Oh yeah. Listen up!" She called, gesturing for everyone in attendance to tune in, "Three of you will be brought on the 'Starswirl'. This is an important job, and none of you have experience with this equipment. So I picked the three who I'm sure can't even screw it up too badly. I'll call your names, I won't do so twice!" She cleared her throat, eyes flicked about to make sure she had all sets of eyes focused directly on her visage.
