As an atheist from a religious family, I should tell you that it's fine to believe. My family is still religious and I talk to them still.
My immediate family was never very religious except one of my grandmas. I still gotta pretend when she asks me if I go to church cause she's really old and I just wanna spare her all the drama so I just nod and change the subject as quickly as I can. My other grandma tho is pretty much an atheist, my mom is too but I feel like she believes a little bit "just in case". And we "celebrate" holidays just for traditions sake and family fun. It's never because we actually believe in them. We also don't actually follow them 100%. For example we celebrate Christmas Eve but it looks nothing like our country's traditional version of it. We just make a lot of food, exchange gifts and wishes of well being and that's just about it

Been one since the age of 13
I prefer the uncomfortable truth about the universe and our insignificance than comforting lies.

I started wearing glasses 3 years ago after 2 years of my work involving staring at the screen 12h a day. That messed up my eyes a bit but I don't mind wearing glasses! It makes my boring face look a bit less boring with colorful frames

I have a few titles on my "to watch" list but currently I started watching "Made in Abyss" and I was pleasantly surprised!

Currently I'm reading "Sapiens" by Yuval Noah Harari! Very interesting book so far!

Something from one of my favourite movies:
"I have to remind myself that some birds aren't meant to be caged, that's all. Their feathers are just too bright...and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice; but still, the place you live is that much more drab and empty that they're gone."
I really like those kinds of quotes that aren't one sided and show the complexity of emotions!

I'm aiming for at least a Masters Degree (just got my Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts two months ago). I don't think I'm planning to be a teacher so I'll just settle with a Masters Degree and we'll see what happens next!

I wanna know what's the last memorable quote/line you came across or just your favorite ones in general out there! It can come from a book, song, movie, show, celebrity or even someone you know personally!
I'll go first. The last one that made me stop and think for a bit is a line that comes from a song "For You" by Barenaked Ladies:
"If I hide myself wherever I go
Am I ever really there?"- 1

Look I'm no vegan nor am I against the use of animal products in any way. But trying to not take part as best you can in what is arguably a fairly cruel system of treatment for some if not many animals is fairly admirably. Are you going to be able to check out of it 100% Nope. But that does not change that many animal products we use are at the expense of needless suffering due to a desire to cut costs.
Hey I'm all for using artificial materials whenever possible like skin, fur, ivory etc and generally avoiding killing wild animals that may be threatened thanks to this and killing livestock animals as humanely as possible. My problem is with certain kinds of vegan people (and I've come across a few of those) that treat their diet as an ultimate solution to a much bigger and more complicated problem and guilt trip others by saying how they're wrong and disgusting and how THEY'RE COVERED WITH INNOCENT BLOOD AAA. You know, the 'crazy' kind of vegan

I see it that if someone doesn't eat meat cause they don't like the taste and just doesn't enjoy it in general that's fine. But whenever it's to make some sort of statement about animal cruelty and saving the little poor animals I just... I just can't. Do people realize that animals die not only to become food? Like... most of everyday objects are made from dead animals? Most kinds of glue used for example in book binding are made out of bones so yeah... Not eating sausages doesn't make a difference and make someone "cruelty free" when everything else was made with the use of animal body parts. And I get it... a lot of vegan people simply don't know that and they have good intentions and all and on most days I just don't care, judging people by their diet isn't my priority. But when I happen upon a vegan that tries to convince me that they know better what's good for me and for my health (usually some pseudoscience bs) I just can't stand it

Imteresting indeded! I love digging up past gen ponies and comparing them to the current ones, looking for simularities and seeing just how much of an influence they were
Though visually the twins' Stardust and Moondusts mane kindaaaa remind me of Celestias mane so they may or may not could've been inspirations ;3

I stumbled upon ASMR when a couple of youtubers that I'm subscribed to made some joke ASMR-like videos and I decided to check out what the heck is it aaaand now I subscribe to at least 5 ASMRists
I'm definitely not into those weird mouth sounds, sounding all moist and dirty nor the whole watching someone eat stuff I like tapping, scratching and general whispering videos. They help me fall asleep so I usually listen to one in bed when I go to sleep.

I love a lot of music genres and artists but I guess my all time fav band is Oingo Boingo

I tend to say 'ouch' before I even hit something... and also if I do hit something and even if it doesn't hurt. When I'm REALLY nervous I also tend to cough a lot... no idea why or how I even got this weird quirk

Can a woman and a man stay "just" friends forever?

One of my closer friends is male and he's been through two relationships and even in times between his ex and current girlfriend when he was single that never changed. We visit each other from time to time (be it with or without his gf) even tho we live really far away from one another. I even sleep with him in one bed when I visit him (he lives in a single room apartment and doesn't have anything else a guest could sleep on) and it never created any uncomfortable or awkward situations. I really consider him my "best guy friend" and I guess the key is honesty. We're upfront with our feelings and everything so there's never any tension or whatsoever. We know where we want our relationship to be so no one gets hurt or confused. We're friends and that's perfect
