    • Kagome and Sesshoumaru - Inuyasha.
    • Naruto and Sasuke - Naruto.
    • Zoro and Nami - One Piece.
    • Robin and Barney - How I Met Your Mother.

    • Kamina and Yoko - Gurren Lagann.
    • Zuko and Katara - Avatar.

And the mother of all OTP's:

  2. I don't think the ages work the same in FiM than in EQG. So Fluttershy and Pinkie would have a 4-5 month difference instead of a year.

Other than that, 17 seem to be the right age for them. (except for Sunset who was around 18-24 years when she stopped being Celestia's pupil and then lived around 3 years in the EqG world) The thing is... when going through the portal she became a 14yo teen, just as the 25-27 yo Princess Twi became a 16yo.

  3. What a nice short, and Pinkie returning as a loving character instead of a moron.

One could see Twilight's nervousness, I'm glad Pinkie and Timber helped her to meet her idol.

I must also point out what a subtle way to keep the TimberTwi thing going on. I really liked him being there, helping Twi but not meddling in her event. Nice support champ!

  4. Amongst the two-part premieres and finales, we usually rate the episodes as a whole. After reading an entry from @Rarity the Supreme, I got curious about...

How would you guys/gals rate the set-up episodes? This is: the part one of each premiere or finale that are joined episodes.

I'll think about the topic and will be back to write down mine.

    Cheers!

  5. What would be excessive pandering?

    - The Simpsons' level references to pop culture?

    - Fan-favorite tertiary ponies grabbing the spotlight?

    - Tons of OC's getting acknowledged?

    - Fan ships becoming canon? (beware the great war)

    - Sunset Shimmer coming to FiM?

    - Full on war in Equestria?

I think that, as long as they keep the show entertaining and separate the funny-wacky episodes from the serious ones... Then season 9 would be a good one.

You know, the fact that the reason she started her cult in the first place was because her friend moved away.

Ohh that one... then you're wrong.

That's the reason she became afraid of making new friends, which eventually led to her thinking Cutie Marks and special talents were a problem. Her motivation to start her cult was to spread her misguided view on Cutie Marks and friendship, because she never had a friend after Sunburst's departure.

Saying Starlight started a cult because she lost her friend is like saying Messi is one of the best soccer players in history because people in Argentina didn't give him a chance as a juvenile, it's a stepping stone but definitely not the direct motivation.

By the way, I'm still aiming for a Pinkie/Fluttershy episode, which hopefully is gonna be this:

I also want a Pinkie/CMC episode, like teaming up on baking wedding cakes for Big Mac, Sugar Belle, Maud and Mudbriar.

But it seems like everyone else here is just demanding more Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow. That gets me on my nerves!

    dude, SPOILERS!!!!!

  8. AJ's reaction to BigMac's wedding and him moving away to Sugar Belle's town.

AJ and Rarity helping Coloratura to put up a show on a foreign land (extra points if it's on Kirin territory).

AJ having a good team up episode with Rainbow Dash, no dumb competitive stuff! Just them working together to pursue a goal (a physical challenge/adventure would be great to exploit they're abilities).

I'm quite surprised that many people found this episode unenjoyable. I liked the episode, and even considered it one of the funniest episodes. I thought pranking Rainbow Dash back to teach her lesson was clever and entertaining to watch. Rainbow Dash's pranks at the beginning weren't that funny, but that was okay since the moral is that you shouldn't pull pranks on anyone. It looks like a lot of people felt that RD was treated unfairly. Others seem to not have liked seeing RD being a jerk. While I kind of agree with both opinions, I still found the last part entertaining. I guess everyone has their own tastes.B)

    I definitely agree with you.

Rainbow Dash has always been kind of a jerk, so what if she's portrayed a bit more so than usual? It's still entertaining, especially with the dumb Zombie plot.

Alright, the punchline was set up from the very title and it made the episode completely predictable, but in this case it works because it's not the joke itself what's entertaining, but how the ponies make it happen and how Rainbow Dash reacts and that was definitely enjoyable.

Silly slice of life like this one is what I'm gonna miss more about FiM.

  10. I think that this short doesn't stand by itself, it was still funny, but below average comparing it to most recent EQG shorts. This would have worked better, IMO, putting it together with the previous one as a 5-6 minutes short.

Still, I liked stuff such as tank getting a crush on Bulk's pet dog, the toast faces of Microchips' pet robot and Cranky's dog eating the sad face toast.

  11. If you don't like spicy and still want to try Mexican snacks/candy, you should try traditional mexican candies.

They're mostly made out of seeds or nuts with caramel or other sources of sweetness. I would recommend 'palanqueta' or 'mazapan' if you're into peanuts or 'cocada' if you like coconuts.

Now, if you're specifically trying non-traditional candy/snacks, then it won't be a nice experience to people who don't like sour or spicy food.
