  1. I think she's ready to be a good leader, she'll obviously have lots of problems during her first years as the head of Equestria but she has what it's needed to overcome the hardships of being the nation's leader.

The problem is... I don't think she even wants to be the leader of Equestria. She wants to do it because she wants Celestia to enjoy retirement, not because she truly wants to lead the nation. She's adept at leading, but it is not what she likes to do and we've all seen how Twilight gets when she becomes stressed.

Twilight will need all the rest and relaxation she can get during her free time to do a good job, which means she will have to accept being treated as the princess she is and worshipped by other ponies. This is the breaking point in my opinion, Twilight has always wanted to be treated as an equal and when she gets the big job she'll have to accept being over everypony else, otherwise she will definitely stress out and choke.

  2. Spoiler

Be warned Spoiler from Episode 16:

    Spoiler

Does Twilight changing the bell for a cupcake so Pinkie doesn't ring the bell, and ends up smashing the cupcake, counts as a 'Twilight Food Joke'?

At the very least it is a visual gag using food...

who cares?  It's all just made-up fan stuff anyway.

    This.

Ships are made-up couples subjective to each shipper.

Saying any ship is 'overrated' is the same as saying an artist, a music genre or a sport is 'overrated' just because you don't get it or you don't have any interest on it.

The world doesn't revolve around anyone's particular tastes, learn to let it go.

  5. Best Gift Ever is my favorite by far. Mainly because of the great interactions between the mane 6, Spike, Discord and Cadance's family.

Rainbow Roadtrip has definitely the best new characters. (Sorry Skystar and Pistachio, you two deserve a mention)

The Movie is the absolutely superior in terms of music, they had the budget and they used it wisely.

  6. I'm pleasantly surprised about this special.

It is a sort of fusion between 'The Crystal Empire' and 'Made in Manehattan' with great side plots for every mane pony.

    - Rainbow Dash as an idol/coach is the best Rainbow Dash! (Seen already before on her interactions with Scootaloo).

    - Rarity encouraging a younger fashionist to believe in her own designs is also beautiful.

    - No one better than AJ to appreciate the hard job of a specialist on repairs. One of those difficult jobs that is less noticed the better they're done.

    - Pinkie and Fluttershy using their best charms to make grumpy neighbors acknowledge and opening up to each other.

    - Twilight trying her best to help the mayor and Petunia was also great, and the fact that she was just another one of the mane 6 and didn't get all the spotlight is refreshing for these kind of special.

Overall, it is a very nice special with some issues on predictability. But it makes up for it having amazing interactions between our lead characters and 9 spot on new characters.

  7. The Best Night Ever.

Season 1 finale is an episode I like more each time I watch it, I've already watched it around 7-8 times and it amazes me how it keeps getting funnier every time.

There may be more exciting or emotional episodes, but I'm starting to think that 'The Best Night Ever' is the episode that better encapsulates the spirit of FiM.

Also, it seems like you're trying to justify Pinkie not learning anything. I'm not sure why since obviously you'd want people who do bad things to acknowledge their faults and try to be better, instead of you just dealing with it because that's just the way they are.

You said it, that's what you do with people.

But Pinkie is not people, she's a cartoon character. And the show made it pretty clear that even in-universe she's a cartoon character and other characters shouldn't question her.

As you see, is not me who is justifying her, it was the show long time ago.

I just accept it, because there's no way they're going to change that trait from Pinkie at this point. Why bother trying to make sense of her?

    Secondly, Pinkie is really annoying.

That's a character trait and has been that way since Episode 1 of FiM. She's the sweetest annoying character and everyone is supposed to live with that because she's Pinkie Pie.

One of the things I liked the most about the special is how the antagonists aren't bad at all, they're just perfectionist idols who lost sight of what's important about their performances and happened to find a magical object. These are not "quickly reformed villains" of any kind.

The story itself was entertaining from the start and the interactions between the characters were spot on. I absolutely loved Rarity's attitude towards Sunset the day she avoided Pinkie at all costs.

One thing I didn't like at all is the repetitive gag of Fluttershy spitting her juice over AJ, that's one of the most disgusting things they've showed in EQG and they had to shown it for almost every day, not cool.

By that logic then Cadence and Shining Armor shouldn't have married either.

    Thank you!

No.  It would feel rushed given that we haven't really had a lot of episodes focusing on their relationship.  In fact there has only been two episodes about their relationship, and the first one was about getting Big Mac and Sugar Belle to become a couple in the first place.  Plus given the little we have seen of them together, I really don't feel like they are at the wedding stage of a relationship yet.

They are secondary characters and the focus of the show is not at all on them. What we have been shown in the background, and during their second focused episode, is more than enough to understand that they are taking their relationship seriously.

Add to it that it's almost impossible to track time on FiM. What we know is that they started dating before the School of Friendship was even on Twilight's mind and that now it seems to be way over a year since the school opened. A specific period in which Big Mac and Sugar Belle have been dating is impossible to know, but at the very least it should be a year and a half, that's enough time to start thinking about marriage if they are taking things seriously as a couple.

Like it's not part of a show, (I don't know) the writers felt they need to put check mark on their relationship status. Even though it's perfectly normal.

Fair enough, I agree that the show is not about that and an episode about the wedding itself could feel out of place.

It could still be a good context for an episode about friendship and family, the wedding doesn't need to be the central plot.

Hm, I suppose although the problem is that their marriage would be somehow felt forced. People would be happy, but at the same time they would shrug it off somehow.

    Forced in which way?

They have been a couple for a while already.

She takes lessons in Ponyville to spend more time with him.

She has spent the holidays with him and his whole family, as her marefriend.

A marriage is actually a natural development, whether it happens on screen or not is another story, but it is the natural development for their relationship.

My opinion don't witch hunt me

For what I've seen this season, so far, lacks of a strong enough episode which either makes most of us dislike or most of us love.

Just read the lists above, we all seem to have different opinions, no need for a witch hunt of any kind.

Not every episode has been great, but none of them have been clunkers or misfires.

    Definitely agree on that.

One aspect of the season that I keep liking is how far are they going with the faces and reactions of the ponies. This kind of thing usually gets tiring for me, but I'm enjoying the hell out it during this season.

  15. 1. Student Counsel.

    2. Frenemies.

    3. She's all Yak.

    4. Sparkle's Seven.

    5. Uprooted.

    6. Going to Seed.

    7. Between Dark and Dawn.

    8. The Point of No Return.

    9. The Last Crusade.

    10. Common Ground.

    11. The Beginning of the End.

    12. Sweet and Smokey.

Overall, the first half of the season has been nice. Just one superb episode, some great ones a bunch of nice ones.

  16. Spoiler

I love how pissed Rarity gets when Twilight refuses the help of Fancy Pants and the committee.  And this is why it wouldn't work! If the RM5 cannot talk back to Twilight and point out her mistakes, then their ruling of Equestria will be a disaster.

Now, that's just a very little detail about the episode, which I enjoyed very much.
