  1. Duuuude...Dwarf Fortress is gonna come out on Steam!

  2. Okay, I get liking music loud. But, WHEN YOU CAN LITERALLY FEEL YOUR EAR DRUMS READY TO BURST AND YOU HAVE TO START YELLING TO ACTUALLY GET ANYTHING ACROSS IT MIGHT BE A BIT TOO LOUD. But hey maybe you deserve to go deaf, because you decided to turn the music up so loud people can hear it through walls literally half a football field away... Dad...

  4. Even the HUFFINGTON POST is willing to admit, that the US is a rogue nation. They just blame Trump, when what they say has been the case since at least George W. Bush, if not Reagan or even earlier. It's not just true, but blatantly obvious.

  5. I think we've needed this for a long time, especially since the new Twilight Zone series came out this year. A question for everyone here: What are your favorite Twilight Zone episodes? Personally, my top 10 (All except 1 are from the original series): The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street Time Enough at Last A Stop at Willoughby To Serve Man The After Hours Walking Distance Long Distance Call A Traveler (2019) Living Doll The Obsolete Man I'd also ask what your favorite series is, but I feel like there's not really going to be basically anyone who isn't going to say the original anthology's 5-season run, because there is not really much denying that that is better than most of the Twilight Zone series from after that... Well, of course other TZ related discussions can go here too.
  6. The place is here on this forum. The time is now. You're about to meet a very peculiar individual indeed, who has seen their fair share of forum drama. We don't know what lies in their future, the only entity with that sort of knowledge is a resident of... The Twilight Zone.

Millicent Barnes, age twenty-five, young woman waiting for a bus on a rainy November night. Not a very imaginative type is Miss Barnes: not given to undue anxiety, or fears, or for that matter even the most temporal flights of fantasy. Like most young career women, she has a generic classification as a, quote, girl with a head on her shoulders, end of quote. All of which is mentioned now because, in just a moment, the head on Miss Barnes' shoulders will be put to a test. Circumstances will assault her sense of reality and a chain of nightmares will put her sanity on a block. Millicent Barnes, who, in one minute, will wonder if she's going mad.

  7. I say without a doubt that the rendition of the Joker from the Dark Knight Trilogy is the best villain in all of cinema. He constantly pushes Batman into making decisions that really show his true character, plus Heath Ledger's absolutely amazing performance really brings Joker's personality.

There's a really interesting Film Theory episode on YouTube that paints him as purposely being the hero of Gotham. You should check it out. I know some folks don't like MatPat, but I think he's always entertaining and it's a great episode.

  8. Total Recall (1990) Although it is a bit cheesy at times, this is a good movie that deserves its reputation. Though It feels like Schwarzenegger was cast into a role where he doesn't exactly... fit. I think the role would have befitted an actor like Harrison Ford better (even if the one-liners were great, and Arnie pretty much renowned for those). I also take some issues to its weird attempts at plot twists that don't really always work. It left a little too much confusion where there was no reason to have any, and around act 3 the film just started getting weird for no apparent reason. Still a solid, but not quite great film. 8/10.
  9. I got the order of those switched up for some reason, my bad. Partially because I watched 2,4,6 first for some reason...
  10. Note that I have only seen through "2,4,6 Greaaat" Top 3: Student Counsel the Beginning of the End Common Ground Bottom 3: 2,4,6 Greaaat Sweet and Smoky Going to Seed

I know how you feel... but how did you fail us?

  12. I'm feeling extremely depressed, like the worst I've felt in months. I feel like I'm just a waste of space, time, and oxygen. I'm too heartless to care about anyone, too lazy to make something of myself, and too much of an anxious wreck to do anything. I feel like I've failed myself, my boyfriend, and everyone else in my life. I feel like I should apologize for existing. EDIT: It's getting slowly better, but I still don't feel great by any means.
  13. It's honestly frustrating how soft the gaming community is towards Blizzard effectively saying "we don't care about your right to freedom of speech at our events if it conflicts with the money." I don't like either side of the protest (in fact, the Chinese/HK government and the protesters are both despicable in my honest opinion), but I do care about personal liberties. To be fully honest, they more than deserve to go down the toilet for this. Stop giving Blizzard money, period. Don't give some cash to the awfully green looking blue devil for a bit of entertainment.

Frankly I think there should be some sort of reprimands put on BLIZZARD for this. They need to pay. I'm not saying to go burn down any buildings or murder people. I'm saying that they need to see a serious reduction in cash flow. I think anybody with a soul would recognize that they should not pay them any more money and not let them off the hook. Keep hammering them and make it stop. Give them a reason not to cater to the Chinese.

Money may make the world go round (which is a sickening statement in and of itself but I digress), but that doesn't mean karma shouldn't be a serious b!+c# to the greedy and the corrupt and the powerful, in this case Blizzard. They need to feel what it's like to f*** over their audience to keep the cash flowing.

As I said in the relevant thread, a lot of people just do not care. Blizzard produces games that you cannot get anywhere else (unlike, say, a lightbulb or TV where it is possible to buy almost the same item from a different company), those games are good enough for people to like them. And that is higher priority than the political opinion that does not involve the person in question (I do not live in HK or China, so Blizzard's stance does not really affect me).

It sems that people nowadays are all talk but no real action - it is very easy to complain on the internet, but if it affects personally (boycotting Blizzard means not being able to play their games) it becomes not that important.

Just like, for example, the Brexit referendum - young people were very loud on the internet saying that they want to remain, but actually voting was too hard for them.

I think Blizzard made the correct choice - any backlash will be short lived, while the money from China will be long-term.

  14. Actually, we haven't. We have discussed the pets we have at our respective houses (and seen them in person). But as for what we would want? Nothing. Same?

@Ninetales She flatlined in this debate, pretty much, like most of the others on stage. I do have a slight bias against her admittedly as I do with every candidate who isn't Bernie or Yang at this point.

@Spider Demon id be willing to endorse yang if he was willing to get out of the middle east, which is what I admired tulsi for.
