      Twilight Luna

@Phosphor @Tacodidra Thank you, my friends! Our Twily is so adorable! ^_^

  2. It has been quite a while since I've done any astrophotography. A lot of my free time was spent on the new property, but now I'm almost done.

Won't be too much longer before I have a telescope out there  :ticking:

I've never seen any of his content before. Another space channel to add to the list!  :kirin:

    3. J.T.

He's really good. I really enjoy his Mega Structure series :squee:

    Yayy! Welcome back!  :D

      Rarity the Superior

Yes, it is I, @Rarity the Superior, with a new name, but the same old rascal from before.

So nice to see you again, my friend!

  4. I like this... Logging on once every week or so. It's a nice balance of enjoying the outdoors more and still being able to have fun with all the ponies on here.

Good night everypony and I will see y'all next time.  :coco:

  6. Outside of the city limits, yep. Where I currently live, 5 acre parcels are quite common along with large family farmland. My 50 acre property is much more rural. Closest neighbor there is about a mile down the road
  7. Bro, what in the world happened to the Atlanta Falcons?  :BornAgainBrony:

  8. This past weekend was wonderful. The weather was cool, so I was able to get more stuff done at the new property. :fluttershy:

    Also, the Saints won  :D

...and the Cowboys got that Hot L

@Headless PiratePony, The Cowboys haven't recovered since the Saints defense destroyed their O-line  :mlp_icwudt:

    3. PirateGhostPony

Growing up in Texas, I was an Oiler's fan in a sea of Cowboys, back when Troy Aikman was quarterback even.

  9. *Notices cover photo

Yay! Another gun luvin' pony!  :kirin:

    1. Blivy

      O oh haha yes indeed!

  10. I spent most of the day working on my granddad's truck. Replaced the EGR valve, which was a total pain in the ass to get to, and replaced the transmission filter and pan gasket. Transmission was leaking fluid at the pan.

All fixed up and it runs good now.  :yay:

    1. Tacodidra

Great to hear that, my friend! :pinkie: Well done! :mlp_yeehaa:

    2. Phosphor

@Tacodidra, it was the least I could do. He's been letting me borrow it so I could bring my mower to the new property. My truck has a bigger engine and transmission, but it doesn't have a proper towing hitch.  :adorkable:

  11. It's storming a little and my satellite connection is acting up. Guess I'll retire for the night.

Have a good night, my dear friends.  :LunaMCM:

Goodnight, my friend. Sleep well. :fluttershy:

    4. Phosphor

@DivineFear1000, considering we haven't had any rain in several weeks, I'll cut her some slack. It was getting too dry around here.  :P

@Batoloratura, thanks my friend. I slept quite well last nite.  :fluttershy:

@Yoshi89, Angel Bunny? No, not this cute thing. He wouldn't do that. lol

  12. Hmmm, FiM has been on my mind lately, I guess with the show ending and all. The last one I watched was in the middle of Season 8.

I think I'd like to finish watching the remaining episodes  :coco:

    1. Tacodidra

You definitely should, my friend! :kindness: There are some amazing episodes at the end of season 8, and season 9 has great ones too! :yay:

    2. Cash In

      Cash In

I would recommend doing so. The episodes get a lot better as you progress, trust me.

  13. No, not at all. This summer was brutal, especially the last several weeks where temps were hovering around 100°F. Forecast is showing cooler temps in a few days, so I can't wait!
  14. Not as good as 10 years ago, but I'd still say I'm in good health. I'd like to lose a few more pounds, eat better, that kinda stuff. I still take blood pressure medicine and something for my thyroid, since I've been having issues with it. A few achy joints here and there. All part of getting older, I guess.
  15. Happy 8th Birthday, MLPForums! I found this place shortly after becoming a fan of MLP FiM around August 2017, but was too shy to create an account. I finally did about a year later and glad I did. @Kyoshi, @Scar, @emma_22, and @Tacodidra were among the first ponies to befriend me. I spent most of my time in the Nonpony Art section of Octavia's Hall, where I got to post my telescope images. The first forum staffer I interacted with on here was @Shadow Beam, who is also an astronomy fan. Since then, I've made many more wonderful friends on here. The community here is pretty awesome!
  16. Just Facebook, which I haven't logged in like 8 months or so. I've ditched social media and smartphones. Don't need them. I don't consider forums to be a form of social media, but MLPF is the only one I'm active on. Even then, I plan on being way less active as soon as the temps cool off. I promised myself I would limit the amount of time I spend online and enjoy the outdoors more.

  20. I knew this got left behind from the previous owner of the property, but I didn't realize it was full of honey bees til yesterday.  :sealed:

@Arc Flash, I know nothing about bee keeping. Any tips or ideas?

There are some bee keepers in the area, so I plan to stop by and seek some advice. The box isn't in the way of anything, so it can stay on that concrete pylon.

I might want to invest in a suit, tho.  :sealed:

    3. Outnick

      @Misscellanio oh no! :(

also a suit?  you are really dedicating on those bees

    4. Phosphor

@Outnick, well I don't want to get stung, so...  :P

Nice. I might give those a read :dash:.

  21. Some of the software for these older instruments will install just fine on Vista or newer OS's. The problem arises when a program utilizes a parallel port security dongle (license). The legacy addresses for parallel port communications aren't present in Vista or newer OS's. Essentially, the security dongle may be plugged in, but because the old addresses are gone, the software can't communicate with it and won't function.
  22. My gaming pc uses Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit, but most of my laptops run Linux. My old astronomy laptop still uses 10.
  23. I use a TP-Link router hooked up to my satellite internet "modem", but I only use the 5.8GHz frequencies.
  24. XP was a wonderful operating system for older scientific instruments. Parallel port security dongles aren't compatible with Vista and newer systems. I think it was because the legacy addresses were removed in the newer OS's. Some of the instrument computers at my work still use Windows XP, but are kept off the network for obvious reasons. Personally, I liked XP a lot, but Windows 7 eventually became my favorite.
