    I was supposed to go to bed on time last night, but I stayed up late. The sky cleared up around midnight, so I did some stargazing.

    The Milky Way was quite impressive, stretching from horizon to horizon.  :love:

    I'm back home, where I have 3 bars of 4G LTE and I can't tell the difference from 3G service.

    I feel like posting a rant about mobile providers and internet service in general. Problem is keeping the language family friendly.  :lie:

    I kinda miss being a kid, at least my later teen years. I could do physical work all day and still feel invincible. Fast forward to 30 and my damn back, wrists, shoulders, and right ankle ache after doing such work. I'm gonna need a rebuild kit before I hit 50! Ok, I'm done ranting. Makes me sound old and grouchy

      @Princess of Bolts ⚡🔥⚡: I wish! Rural internet choices: an assortment of garbage 4G LTE or Satellite.

      @Lord Midnight Madness: My phone drops to 3G at my rural property. The only 4G LTE service is from Verizon. I've had really bad experiences with Verizon, so I'm very hesitant to return to them. Even then, I'm not convinced it would be worth it since 4G LTE is way oversold and congested.

    I don't like to get up much earlier than 6:30am, so I'm more of a night owl. I enjoy stargazing in the hours up to midnight, tho early morning stargazing seems to be the best since the atmosphere tends to be more calm.

    I'm registered to vote tho I don't bother with primaries. Yeah but it's kinda fun to write in Drew Brees (New Orleans Saints quarterback) for all of the local elections. Recently started writing in MLP characters.

    Old country music - Sure, I'd listen to that Modern country and rap? Hell no. Same goes for most of the pop music played these days. I'm more of a classic rock fan, anyways.

    Vacuum tube radios are my favorite to repair. I usually keep a few spare tubes on hand and a small stash of common capacitors and resistors. A lot of those old radios have carbon resistors that will go open over time from the heat. I pretty much have all the test equipment needed, except for a signal generator. I'm looking to get one because I will eventually run across a radio that will need to be realigned. I have no idea why I keep the old caps from radios I've repaired.

    That's my natural voice. I'm college educated, yet I sound like a redneck Folks from up north or overseas usually notice my heavy southern accent during teleconferences and meetings at work.

    Think I'm starting to regret turning off my satellite internet. It is quite clear to me that 4G LTE networks cannot handle the needs of its users. Arrrrgh! Why must rural internet suck so damn bad!?  :Cozy:

      I don’t know what carrier you use but AT&T sucks in rural areas. 
       

      Verizon is good where I’m at, but with the quarantine and stuff going on the internet has been slow for me all around.  Satellite and cellular

      @AppleBolt ⚡️ AT&T sucks everywhere. :ButtercupLaugh: I switched to Verizon and I’m so glad I did. I don’t live in a rural area though. :huh:

      I had AT&T for about 4 years. Coverage was so terrible, I had to install an outdoor repeater so I could get a decent signal. Switched over to Cspire recently and I'm not too happy with the service. Tho I think you're right, @AppleBolt ⚡️ about the lockdown affecting speeds. That's about when the service went downhill. Luck if I hit 0.75mbps download 

      I use to be a happy Verizon customer for a long time til they screwed me over on a bill about 7 years ago. Charged me a several hundred dollar bill for overages I didn't even use. Still haven't forgiven Verizon and continue to put up with crappy service from other carriers  :unamused: 

      @The Ultimate Bolt ⚡, Verizon was definitely fast when I had it. Coverage is excellent at my house and rural property.

      I don't know. I may have to let it go and switch back  :mellow:
