Is this considered normal for America? How do they justify such a small increase? Where I am from usually salary increase is around 200-500 or so a month increase. Granted our currency is worth a different amount compared to the dollar, but its buying power for necessities is around the same.
This amounts to around $48 a month if you are working full time (which I believe is around 40 hours in America?).
I had to work a regular job before doing what I do now, and I recall the two pay increase I got were about 500 each. (Roughly around $125 USD for the time). And 400 was the cost of my rent.
How do Americans afford things?

This was a rather intricate and complex read. One had to put down my margarita and adjust my glasses to make sure I fully comprehended what was being suggested and theorized. It's an interesting idea and theory, and I would wager some truth comes from it. We all partake in our sexual indulgences, and mostly I would say that guilt is acquired when one feels their desires are "impure" or otherwise unsavory to the general consensus.
Either way, sex is a very private thing that I would suggest be kept among close acquaintances. Should one do that, they will find the possibility for judgment is far lower.

AI definitely does something to the brain, that much is clear. It is designed to be encouraging and stimulate you into enjoying it. It uses similar strategies that video games do, where they send constant praise and admiration toward the player to encourage them to keep playing.
The reality is though, that AI isn't going anywhere. It will only get more advanced.
