  1. The two biggest ones are gluten and seed oils. I didn't realise my body tolerated gluten badly so I was consuming it pretty much every day, and I paid no attention to the types of fats which I was consuming as I had no idea that they were dangerous. Otherwise my diet now is pretty similar to what I had as a kid - pretty much a carbon copy of a paleo diet with the occasional piece of chocolate and some coffee thrown in.
  2. The more I spend Christmas with my parents, the more I'm reminded that alcohol might very possibly be the single worst thing in the world that is legal and widely consumed.
  3. I'm 26. Things that make me feel young: I'm aging in reverse (sort of). I look younger facially now than I did when I was 16 and multiple people have said so I have a lot of energy, particularly in the morning I'm physically strong and have reasonably good cardiovascular stamina Things that make me feel old: The sheer number of social media platforms these days that I have no idea how to use The fact that video games all seem to be boring, contrived nonsense these days and none of them present any interest to me I always get tired at 10pm and can't stay up past midnight anymore Every single one of my friends is either in a serious relationship, engaged, married, or has a child I don't drink alcohol and don't like parties
  4. 2017. I live 45 mins away by highspeed train (or about 1h20 by car) so I have no excuse, I just hate capital cities. Too large, too smelly, too many people.
  5. I can only grow a beard around my nose/mouth/chin - it grows very thick on these places, but doesn't grow at all on the sides of my face. Quite annoying.
  6. Just getting to do nothing for once. It's been a while.
  7. 190cm, or like 6'2¾. Blablabla post length edit: If we're including shoe height then I'm 6ft5 with boots on. Don't include your shoe height guys.
  8. Of course. I'm very lucky to have a great family.
  9. Some unpasteurised Somerset brie, just by itself. To be honest you could probably ask me this question at pretty much any moment in time and this would still be a valid answer.
  10. I've been told I look like I'm pissed off a lot - but not sure if that counts as a misconception as while I'm not actually pissed off most of the time, it may be true that I look like I am. People have often told me in the past year or so that they think I look younger than I am too, which is strange as for most of my life people have told me the opposite (I remember being fined on a train at age 13 when I tried to claim I was a child, as I had a child's ticket) - maybe now it is finally balancing out. Either that or I've somehow unlocked the secret of reverse aging, which I wouldn't complain about either but is significantly less likely. Other than that, I really don't know how people perceive me. If anyone here has any thoughts, let me know
  11. My whole life. Every day above ground is a good day.
  12. I absolutely cannot draw to save my life, I have the fine motor skills of a 90 year old (despite being able to play instruments and such proficiently, I dunno how that works either). I think I'm good at writing in the sense that I have a good command of the English language and can articulate myself clearly when I wish to, but my handwriting (like my art skills, or lack thereof) is absolutely appalling.
  13. This one always seems to do the trick. You don't have to be religious to appreciate it.
  14. Been on them many times, probably close to a hundred - although the vast majority of these flights have been two hours or under in length. I hate flying and would always prefer to drive or sail where I can, but it's not always convenient.
  15. I have a mild suspicion I've done this before, but in case I haven't https://vocaroo.com/1hy2JNLSg01U
  16. The only time anyone ever comments on it, it's to say that I sound posh (which, in my opinion, I definitely don't).
  17. Any green vegetables - they not only taste horrible but also make me feel sick once I eat them (but weirdly, fermented vegetables don't make me feel sick afterwards). I'm pretty sure I have an undiagnosed intolerance to either the lectins found therein that would subsequently be destroyed through cooking/fermentation, or possibly a sensitivity to the pesticides that the crops are sprayed with. My guess is the former as root vegetables are fine, and I love literally every single type of fruit except mango (which is too sweet for me).
  18. A lot of it is manufactured for American television in particular. If you watch an episode of the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares he almost never raises his voice or insults restaurant owners, and the editing isn't as dramatic. He's also done a few "cooking roadtrip" collaborations with other celebrity chefs here, and he largely comes across as quite a pleasant person.
  19. One of the best guitar/keyboard solos from any CoB song imo, super underrated track from them. RIP Alexi, nearly two years without you brother.
  20. Unbelievably tired. Just want to sleep but I can't just yet
  21. Yeah. My grandfather and his brother both served in the army, although neither fought in any wars (my grandfather was part of the Coldstream Guards, who protect the Royal Family). My great grandfather also served in the army and didn't fight in any wars, although his brother fought and was killed in WW1.
  22. Dunno, an 8 or 9 maybe. Just recovering from a small illness atm but other than that there's not really anything I have to complain about.
