To add on to this. I purchased the new Pokemon game for the regular switch. I’ll prob get the dlc next pay. Then using some gift cards I got the entire special edition set of The Blood Sworn Trilogy. These looked super cool when I saw them in Barns and Noble but I didn’t want to pay that much back then to get them.

I don’t get weird gifts so much as sometimes I will get the traditional “I don’t know what to get you” gift. The random holiday boxed candy’s and such or a candle set. Candles truly be the gift you give someone when you don’t know what to get them during the holidays. (I say that as a person who’s done that.) I already know I’m ending up with bath and body gift set from a relative this year. My aunt was buying me socks yearly that not only were the wrong size (like these look like they’d fit a teen not a grown woman) but weren’t something I’d even wear to begin with. 95% of my shirts are black. The socks I buy for myself are black. When have you ever seen me outside of the house in colorful socks? I got a religious ornament one year and I’m not a Christian. Truly just ask me what I want before you go wasting money. Relatives want to suprise me with things that further showcase how little they know about me despite being “family”. I got a pair damaged jeans from my mother today. I told her no socks and she bought me socks anyway. She acknowledged that I said no socks but she liked these ones so she bought them for me. Pink socks for my majority black wardrobe. Great.

Oh boy so. I preordered Faecrates Tomes and Tea book set I preordered Acrylipics Court of Thorns and Roses book set while it was still on sale. I got the following books off of Mercari The Fairyloot editions of A Magic Steeped in Poison Duology Owlcrates version of Watermoon The Bookish Box’s version of Behooved Fairyloots version of The City of Stardust (Y’all really be selling this THAT ceap. I have her other book, The Bookshop below and it’s great. What Booktok considers good I will never understand. Not that I’m complaining because I got a steal on this but like.) Illumicrates version of A dark and drowning tide (This was truly a steal price wise) Salvacion Owlcrate edition (Again another absolute steal. Like y’all really be losing money pricing these special editions like this 💀) Owlcrates The Teller Of Small Fortunes (Once again very cheap. Like girl you the only one who was selling a brand new unopened copy for 13 bucks. Everyone else wanted 40. Not that I’m complaining but like. You losing money) Moonlight book box version of Everlong (this is actually gorgeous.) Lastly I went ahead and got the Gods and Monsters Fairyloot set by the only reseller selling these at what I deemed a reasonable price. Now I can donate the damaged copy of the first book that I have.. This is it for me for fun purchases until I get paid again sadly (unless I get usable giftcards from other relatives later on today.). Thats why I loved this month because I got an extra pay week in it so I could do this.

I got a very nice book haul today that I’ve purchased thanks to my pay going in early lol. So Happy Holidays to me. I will say it’s surprising seeing The Wolf King special editions from the book boxes go for so much when you can literally just buy the hardcover deluxe version with sprayed edges off Amazon. Which I got this from my Allurial box and just reading Amazons description it mentions Booktok. I’ve put down the past few big on Booktok books I’ve started to read due to nontent. I at least managed to finish Death Obsession. I hope whenever I get to this there’s an actual plot this time. I’m finding out Booktok be having some bad taste in books.

Well. We have one relative back in the hospital as she’s been dealing with a brain tumor on and off this past year. Each time they remove it just comes back pretty rapidly and bigger. It’s not an if it’s a when she’ll pass away. There’s no living from what she has. They’ve just been trying to buy time as she has kids. Had a different relative pass away yesterday and just found out today from a text message just sent that a different relative has had a pretty bad stroke and is in the hospital. She has lost sight and movement in two limbs.

Wowza it was a good thing I never opened my 25th anniversary legend of the blue eyes white dragon booster box.

Oh no Fairyloot is teasing Lights Out. Oh this is gonna be a bloodbath getting those. Thats gonna sell out instantly.

Sooo my advent calendar came. Sadly since it arrived late with all the days passed I went ahead and opened everything. The Forget me not Library book corners were damaged but you can’t tell with cover on so I’m not too unhappy about it. A lot of this is going on my desk at work. I also ordered this book, The Enemy’s Daughter which looked interesting.

I got an email from Pangobooks congratulating me on being in the top 10% of Fantasy book buyers for the year and thanking me for giving so many books a new home. It has me like sis don’t call me out on my spending like that 💀 I guess I did buy that much 💀
