Testing, testing...
Hello everypony! Man, it's been a while, hasn't it? I haven't been able to get onto the Forums on my laptop (403 forbidden error?) for a WHILE now and I guess I got so irritated I fell off of posting for...oh my god almost two years
I promise I am still alive if anyone was, I don't know, worried I died in some horrific pony related accident...

HELLO EVERYPONY!! VERY EXCITED TOASTY HERE!!!
I watched the G5 movie yesterday, and...wow. I won't explicitly mention spoilers, but I'm pretty bad at not talking about stuff I'm excited about, so...tread carefully if you haven't watched the movie yet
I fully expected to only find it alright, but I was absolutely amazed by how much I enjoyed it from beginning to end; for the first time since the beginning of generation THREE, Pinkie finally has competition for the title of my favourite pone ever--I ABSOLUTELY adored Sunny, I saw a lot of myself in her and I was just completely drawn into everything she did! No spoilers, but the ending...change was absolutely beautiful and fully deserved, I personally don't mind her staying that way! I could easily make this entire review just a word vomit about how much I love and adore and want to protect Sunny, but I don't think any of you would want to read that
Little personal opinion here, but I feel Izzy is somewhat autism-coded (especially because of her eccentric hobbies and lack of...voice noise control?? It's hard to explain); I would have really appreciated a character that's so open about her interests that had friends that accept her being how she is as a child, and I really hope she can help younger pony fans learn to love themselves and find true friends. Between Sunny and Izzy, I was almost in actual tears over a children's horse film because my brain kept going "I wish I'd had characters who acted like this--like me!!--when I was younger". Again, this is just a little personal section, but as a kid who never really saw characters like me in media growing up (I was a G3 kid so I didn't have Twily back then, either) I am over the moon that kids like me can have characters to relate to.
THE MUSIC! THE MUSIC!! I made a point of not listening to any of the songs pre-release and gosh was I happy I did; Angry Mob in particular is just so comfortable with the fact it's dumb that it's hilarious while also having an exceptional backing track--on that note, I love how Sprout was still a mommy's boy while also being a villain, loved that about his character! Glowin' Up is, of course, an absolute banger and I have religiously repeated it since I finished the movie yesterday; it has similar vibes to SIA's Rainbow from the G4 movie in terms of being the obvious song to market, but Glowin' Up just seemed to, I don't know...fit the pony vibe better than Rainbow did? Perhaps that's just a bit of a personal
vendettabias against SIA because of her actions in other aspects of her life, but this isn't really the place to discuss my issues with SIA or the G4 movie--back to how much the G5 music BANGS! I was admittedly, once again, a liiiiittle bit biased in how much I loved Izzy's songs because I adore Kimiko Glenn (her performance in Waitress is just incredible) but who can say no to Izzy?? It had a lot of Rapping History of the Wonderbolts vibes in the midsection of Fit Right In and my Pinkie loving heart absolutely exploded (twice! Sorry, I had to ), so of course it's up there as possibly my favourite song in the whole thing.TL;DR, I am positively teeming with excitement for what the series is going to be like--this movie was an absolutely incredible setup and I can't wait to see more of what these ponies have to offer!
Also, if Izzy ever met Pinkie, I think I would actually die. My poor heart couldn't take it.I'm going to start posting more often in the pony merch threads (that's basically my hometown here, so if you're ever looking for me I'm probably lurking around there!) and maybe even some reviews once I get my hands on some stuff, but I'm now a university student and working, so I don't have as much free time as I used to, which also explains the lack of posts from me in the last few months; I PROMISE I'll be more active in the coming weeks, though, because I'm absolutely obsessed with this movie!
Special thanks to all of my kind pony friends who have tagged me in hug a user and favourite user posts while I've been semi-inactive, I promise I saw them all and I'm so happy to be appreciated on this here forum
And with that...
This is how a ToastedScone ends this post

Hihi everypony!
It's my birthday today! I was surprised with two of the draw-on-me ponies (Rainbow and Pinkie!), they're super cute even if I'm not entirely sure if I actually want to even mess with the main gimmick of drawing on them...from childhood memories of the scribble-me bears (is that what they were called?), the pens never smell too great and don't wash out as well as they say on the box
But whether I draw on 'em or not, my kind family and friends are helping me expand my hoard of pony merch, so I'm pleased
