Aaahhhh, didn't quite understand what was going at the end of those panels because I hadn't stoped to look at the ginormous thing that's about to eat the other one.

Makes me wonder how are they going to deal with that giant creature.

Coda's most likely thinking stuff like "bet they think I looked soooo cool... let's hope we don't engage with other things like those, because I'm out of ammo" and "I wonder if they have something to eat. I'm starving"

Well, if the whatever is not as big as the one he shot and if he can make physical contact without harm (ie: creature doesn't burn/shock/freeze/steal life force from) he can most likely deal with it on melee and close quarters combat, though he might still take damage as he learns and understands the creature's combat capacities.
