So season 8 cozy didn't bring out the windigigity.

Just removed magic.

Season 9 the 3 of them destroyed unity of the 3 tribes. Didn't really destroy friendship.

Brought out the windigigity.

Windigigity was sealed throught the bonds of the 3 tribes. The hearts warming soul( the fire heart thing)

Remove the bonds remove the seal.

So maybe one reason why there won't be a windigo on gen. 5 is the bonds where not broken but forgotten... And if maybe if a fight occurs on the tribes in s5.... Which maybe has to do with the jewel heist... Might bring out the windigo....
