I going to sound really picky, but the split makes it look like antlers. I'd keep the inner set and get rid of the outer.

Of course, if there's something cool about the split that I'm missing, I'd like to know.

After sleeping on it, I think I prefer the outer, so long as its sharpened. Don't want to lose the 'curse' theme.
