I never saw Fluttershy's shyness in MLP FIM as a weakness, a lesson to be learned is it is okay to show vulnerability, it is okay to have good manners and respect for others. And if I were in that fantasy world as a Pegasi myself, I would like my personality to be similar to hers. If being shy and sensitive makes me a better person, I would have no problem with it. I wished I could be like her, I don't always behave in a way that she generally does, but I try.
