Ebony sighed. "I don't understand. If the coin is from so far away, how did the pony who left it here get here?"

Alice landed silently and straightened up, then started running through the forest. Adam ran after her. 'Wait! Why are you going back?!' She ignored him and ran until she saw the mist again. She slowed and walked into it, seeing the chained ghost with it's back to her. She took a step forward and it turned and looked at her. She put her hands up. "Wait. I won't hurt you if you don't hurt me." Adam stopped a few meters behind her.

Alice suddenly stopped. She felt cold for a few seconds, then was warm again. She bit her lip and turned to Adam. He raised an eyebrow at her. 'What?' "That thing..I can sense it. It touched me, and I can sense that it's back." She looked out one of the windows and grabbed Adam's wrist. She put a hand on the window frame and jumped out the window, pulling him with her.

Ebony stood beside Stonewall and listened, glancing around every now and then to see some ponies looking at her oddly. She hung her head slightly and looked back at the guard. "Somepony was murdered?" She asked quietly, looking at the destruction in the building. She looked at the coin and leaned closer to Stonewall. "Do you think this has anything to do with the Nix?" she murmured to him.

Ebony smiled and nodded. "Hay fries sound great right about now. And it's a beautiful day for the wonderbolts to preform."

Alice sighed. "They keep appearing when I'm around. Am I attracting them, or is it you? You are a ghost after all."

//oops. sorry. pretend i didn't say that// Alice walked along the hallway with Adam following her. "But seriously, what was that thing?" Adam shrugged. 'Tortured soul.'

They walked back to the academy, and Alice saw Erin and Thalia in the hallway. "Hey. Still alive?" She asked Erin, walking up to them. Adam crossed his arms. 'Haha. Very funny.' Alice's pretended to cough so she could put her hand infront of her mouth, hiding her smile.

Ebony woke up when she felt sunlight on her face. She opened her eyes and looked out the window, seeing the sun rise. She yawned and stepped off her bed, then stretched. //ooh...mystery *wiggles fingers* //

Adam pushed her away after a while. 'I think it's gone, for now. Let's go back to the school, I'm pretty sure you have an assembly to go to.' She wiped her eyes and half smiled. "I'm dragging you with me." He groaned. 'Awh, not a school assembly!' He whined sarcastically, smirking.

Ebony half smiled. "I don't think bad dreams will bother me tonight." She said, sighing contently and falling asleep.

Ebony smiled and nuzzled him again, then walked over to her bed. She put a hoof on the blankets, then looked back at him. "If anymore of those things show up..they won't hurt you, will they?"

Ebony stayed quiet for a few seconds, then nuzzled him so her head was under his chin. "I was offered other stallions, but I turned them all away. They weren't...right."

Ebony half smiled when he told her about the airshow. "I do love the Wonderbolts. So many amazing moves." She followed him back to her room and stayed still while he helped her, then turned fully towards him when he started talking. Her smile grew, and the sadness seemed to disappear from her eyes. "I thought I recognized you. I remember that day," She said, walking over to the window to watch the sun set. She turned back to him, the sun's dying light on her. "I often wondered about you. I was wondering how you were..I'm..glad you're my bodyguard." She let her mane fall infront of one of her eyes, blushing. //xD reading this and listening to "This Day Aria" is a great combo :D//

Ebony stopped suddenly and turned. "Oh, Splinter. The guards arranged a room for you. It's 4 doors down on the left side from my room." She called in a slightly strained voice.

Alice led Keren back to the school, then turned back towards the forest "I..stay here." She ran back into the forest, weaving inbetween the trees. She slowed when she saw a blue figure wandering around, then ran towards it. Adam turned, seeing Alice. 'What are you doing?! I told you to go back to the school-' he got cut off when she threw her arms around him, making himi stumble back a few steps. 'Hey, what's-' He stopeed when he noticed she was crying against him. He sighed and put his arms around her shaking frame. 'I'm sorry, I shouldn't have taken you into the forest.'

Ebony went still when Splinter told her about his brother, her eyes going blank and staring ahead, a distant sadness in them. She snapped out of it when Stonewall spoke to her, and she nodded. "Ok.." She said quietly, standing up. She looked up at the sky, then sighed and walked inside, doing her best to keep herself together. //her parents died in a carriage accident also, kinda hit a tender nerve there :p//

'Go!' "Yeah, it's safe-" She stumbled on her words. "Come on, let's get back.." She started leading them back.

She looked back; no trace of it. "Yeah. It's..it's gone."

Alice stared at him. 'Go. Take them back.' She put her hand against her temple again and went over to them, putting her hand on Keren's shoulder. "Come on, we have to get out of here-"

"A few days ago?" She asked, tilting her head slightly. All the happiness in her eyes was gone, and replaced by concern.

//ghosts. ghosts are going on.// She gasped quietly when she could see properly again. She felt cold because Adam passed through her, his hands glowing. He put his hands over the ghost's eyes, and it shreiked, lighting up. It disappeared a few seconds later, and Adam let out a breath, weakened from using his powers. Alice blinked. "What the HELL was that?!" She yelled at hiim. He turned back towards her. 'I..really don't know.' He sighed. He looked over at the other 2 people, then back at Alice. 'Take them back. I'm going to stay here for a while, in case it returns. I didn't banish it, I don't have the power to do that.'

She looked back at Stonewall, then sat down and looked at Splinter. "Might as well stay here, I suppose this is the best spot." She smiled shyly.

The nightingale sang a few chords from the song, then flew back into the tree. Ebony giggled when the nightingale mimicked the song.

Alice hit the thing with the rock again, and it shreiked more. It sounded angry now. She put one hand on her temple. Looking at it was making her dizzy. 'Don't look at it,' "Shut up-" She growled back, trying to lift the rock again, her eyes squeezed shut from the effort . It fell from her psychic grasp as her vision went blurry again. The thing moved faster towards them, and as she put her hands out to lift the rock again, it grabbed her wrist. Her eyes opened as she was staring into the black pits that were it's eyes, feeling her body go cold. //We need pinkie pie. She'd sing a delightful song and everything would be ok D://
