  1. Dusk walks calmly upon the staging grounds for the event; her cloak fastened around her neck, draping over her flank and sides. She inhales the scent and notes the delicious motes of fresh cider, caramel, and freshly cut apples. Her horn flickers as she double-checks her glamour. All is good. She wanders the different vendor stalls, and her stomach rumbles with all the fantastic options. She opts for water right now until she can secure her place in the race. No time to spare, according to the signage. She moves about from pony to pony until she finds the one she thinks is @Dynamo Pad. "Excuse me. I was hoping you still have some slots left for the "Running of the Leaves event. I've heard it's fun, but I have only watched at a distance before. I have bits if needed."
  2. For someone I never met, you just nailed down exactly what I wanted to convey and couldn't. All my life, I've protected people. I've worked in public service far more than I have not. There was a time, I admit, when I didn't handle the power I had in the best way, so I learned and I grew. By the time I felt the need to pick a species, Alicorn was my only choice, despite how much I wanted to just "go with the flow". I am a protector, a leader, and all I want to do is help. I never force my help on anyone. It's always asked. Thanks for being so kind. I appreciate it a lot. Care to tell a pony your dreams of being a Pegasus? They sound delightful.
  3. Alicorn, even though I know it's looked down upon. I don't choose it for op status or ego. It's a complicated choice based on life experience in the past and a future I hope to bring forth. I've always felt this way, but kept it to myself in my early years of fandom because of the hate. Maybe things have cooled down. If not, well, guess it's too late to turn back now.
  4. This looks interesting. I would like to participate if you are still accepting contestants.
  5. I don't have much of a story. I used to go to Con's. I used to be as active as I could, but I avoided the more well-known people. When the fandom took a dramatic turn, I quietly slipped into the shadows, because it made me sad—always remained a fan. I have my Cutie Mark on my hip, so there's that. That's basically it. I may have lost all my information from my lurker days, but I'm proud to stand out today for what community remains. - Dusk Haven
