In case I didn't mention these things the last time I made an entry like this. Cause what the heck?

I drink milk like it's going out of style.
On the subject of milk, I actually drink so much that, when I was hit by a minivan when I was 11 years old, no bones broke. The doctors even commented on how extremely strong my bones are. Milk win!
    I also drink alcohol.
I drink alcohol often. I consume alcohol about 2 to 5 times a week.
I just never get drunk. Personal policy. Thus, I think my habits are healthy.
Whisky and vodka are about the only things I'll drink, though. Never cared for wine. Beer is gross. But if you have some suggestions on something I should try, let me know
I like vintage stuff. Old cars, old records, old video games.
Stick shift is WAY better than automatic.
I grew up on rock and metal music
    And Pokemon.
I was a brony hater before I became a brony.
    I'm a PC gamer. Unless it's Nintendo.
My favorite video game saga is Legend of Zelda.
I have beaten more Legend of Zelda titles than any other series except Pokemon.
    I'm an audiophile.
    I also like Raisin Bran
But a breakfast burrito with sausage, eggs, potatoes, and cheese is the perfect way to start a morning!

    Okay that's enough for now

    HOLY CRAP!

I'm not really sure how to feel about this. On one end of the spectrum, I understand what it's like to be poor. Perhaps she has an abusive boyfriend? But on the other end of that, if you're stealing out of necessity, there are plenty of welfare options available to you. You can make a half-decent living off of welfare. There are so many variables in this.

At the end of the day, I don't think people should be shoplifting. It's wrong.

College has been great and all but now I'm coming up on finishing my fourth year and getting that degree and finding work. And I've been looking places where I can find work.

I found a summer internship that is about an hour and a half's drive away from where I live. They're looking for an auditing intern. That would be nice since internships are where you go to get work experience when you go apply for a big boy job. I'm thinking about applying for it. I'll have to find housing over there, but that should't be a huge problem..

But, truth be told, I'm terrified. I'm not afraid of not landing the internship. I'm afraid that I will get the job. You might call it being afraid to grow up and work. I'm not afraid of working. I'm about ready to see all this time I've put into college finally pay off (even if it's to the humble tune of $16 per hour, which isn't great if you've spent 4 years of your life in college, but hey, it's an internship so what would you expect?) and I can finally get started on my career. I'm definitely not afraid to work.

My fear is this: What if I've spent all this time in school and it turns out to mean nothing in the end? What I mean is what if I've just wasted four years of my life? What if I get this internship and it turns out that I can't stand the thought of wasting my 20s away working late hours at the office? What if spent four years and thousands of dollars on a degree that I hate? Those thoughts scare me to death.

But very, very soon, it's all going to be very, very real.

It feels like that scene from "A Goofy Movie" when they're coming up on the junction and Goofy asks Max "Okay, left or right?" and right as they're about to crash the car, Max screams, "LEFT!" That's how I feel right now. That junction in my life is coming up very quickly. I know what I should do. But I'm frozen in fear. If I go one way, I'm getting a good start to my career. If I go the other way, I'll eventually have to tell my parents that I still haven't even written my resume. And after I told them I've given it to, like, 6 different banks. But if I don't do anything I'll just crash at the Y.

It's so scary. This was a time in my life I couldn't wait for. And now it's something I'm completely unprepared for.

At least talking to my mom about being afraid of this helped me feel a little better.

Hai everybody! I've seen this kind of thing trending lately: people are blogging about why they love their favorite character. I haven't seen much in the way of Princess Luna. So I'm going to make a number of blog entries that sort of outline why I love her so much. There won't be much in the way of regularity when it comes to this. I may post something tonight and then I might post tomorrow and then I won't post another reason for another few days. I have other things going on. And my reasons don't have to be the same as yours. I don't expect them to be. Anyway, without further adieu, let's get this started.

Today, I'm going to be going over my first reason: Luna's color.

Okay, I know this is about as deep as the kiddie pool but bear with me.

The color blue. It's my favorite color of all. Blue means a lot of things to me, personally. There is always a lot of hidden context in the color blue. When you're feeling blue, it means you're feeling sad. Or maybe you feel sympathy for someone who feels sad. But Luna's blue isn't a bright blue like the sky we generally think about. It's a deep, mystical blue. When I think of Luna and her coat color, I think that there's more to this pony than meets the eye.

There is still so much to know about this pony...Who will hug her first?

The Season 4 openers blew me away. I knew there was a transformation. But the way they did it far surpassed my expectations. It was dramatic and heartbreaking simultaneously. To see Celestia and the look on her face...knowing she'd have to do what she did and that she might regret it for the next 1,000 years. Did I cry? Not on the outside. But there was more to it than what Twilight's flashback gave us. Luna felt shunned and ignored. Perhaps the denizens of Equestria forgot that it was Luna's duty to enter their dreams and comfort them. Alas, her job was a thanklesss one. Despite her amazing power (as it is never mentioned if Celestia has the ability to do something like enter dreams and since this power would be useless to her prior to Luna's turn and subsequent banisment, she probably doesn't), it's pretty likely that everyone forgot she even existed since her time of activity was during the night. It would have been easy to forget that she was there under the doctrine of "out of sight, out of mind."
    .
And what's to say that anything is different now in comparison to what it was 1,000 years prior? Ponies still sleep at night. Luna is good. She enters dreams and comforts ponies. But that's exactly the way it was before she turned. This leads me to believe that Luna doesn't want to turn again, but it's a battle she fights on a daily basis. She just does a good job of keeping it a secret.

That is why I love her coat color. Blue is deep and mysterious. I feel like there will always be so much more mystery surrounding Luna than there ever will be with Celestia.

Plus, blue is just a beautiful color

Keep it up Luna. Your fan club loves you. (hugs)

Bridle Gossip, A Dog and Pony Show, The Best Night Ever, The Last Roundup, A Friend in Deed, MMMystery on the Friendship Express, Pinkie Pride, Filli Vanilli...

What do all of these episodes have in common?

They were written, either fully or in part by, Amy Keating Rogers.

And I fully enjoyed every one of these episodes. Some of them are in my BOAT (best of all time) list. In fact, the only episode she wrote that I didn't love was The Cutie Pox, and that was still actually a pretty dang good episode.

Keep it up, Amy. You do awesome things for this show!

Maybe it's a fact I'm not sure but I kinda figured it out just through observation.

Did you know that you can go to your profile on here and see which number your account was that signed up, chronologically?

For example, the URL for my page is mlpforums.com/user/6322-space-woona/

The 6322 in the URL tells me that I was the 6,322nd member to sign up for the forums.

Obviously, the number in Feld0's URL will be 1 as he created this place. Naturally, his account would be the first.

My number being only 6322 and there now being more than 20,000 members kinda says something as to how old my account is. That there were only 6,321 other members here when I signed up I guess you could say I'm one of the older members

I noticed this. It seemed like this number appeared in every profile URL and that it was smaller for older members and larger for newer members. So just by putting 2 and 2 together, I figured that it tells you which member you were to sign up.

I’ve seen a lots of other people post something like this so I figured what the heck.

Maybe you’ve had time to talk to me and get to know me. Maybe you haven’t. So here’s a little list of things that I kinda threw together so you can maybe get to know me a little better.

    · My real name is Kalin. Pronounced like KAY-lynn.
    · In my 21 years, I have probably met 6 other people who share my name or a spelling variant of it. None of them were male.
    · I live in a small college town off Interstate 40 called Weatherford, Oklahoma.
    · I grew up in a town of about 350 people and my high school hardly ever has more than 250 students during any one school year.
    · Speaking of high school, my high school was completely underground. Know what we did if there was a tornado? We just kept having class!
    · I played football and basketball in my senior year in high school. The year I played, our football team posted our best record to date. 2-8. Yeah, we weren’t very good. But we always went 0-10 or 1-9. We never won more than one game a season xD
    · I’m a foster child. If, at any time, I say my parents, mom, or dad, I’m referring to my foster parents. If I say mother or father, then I’m speaking of my biological parents.
    · Before I moved in with my foster parents, my high school GPA was 1.64. I managed to finish high school with a 3.07. So far I’m holding the fort down at a 3.59 in college.
    · I’m a PC gamer. I only got into PC gaming because I could better justify a desktop computer to my mom than an Xbox. You can’t do homework on an Xbox.
    · I love waffles. But not frozen waffles. I have to make them in a waffle iron
    · My favorite carbonated beverage is not Coke, Pepsi, or even Dr. Pepper. If you offer me an A&W root beer, you will be my best friend forever.
    · But my favorite drink is, of course, straight Crown Royal.
    · Also, I drink at least 4 times a week. But I always have only one because a little alcohol is actually good for you. But only in moderation.
    · Backscratchers are probably the best things ever.
    · I have carried out some deep and meaningful conversations…with myself.
    · I don’t clop. But I don’t have a problem if you do it. Just don’t share your R34 with me.
    · I’m not gay. But I don’t have a problem if you are. Just don’t be a man and grab my butt
    · I grew up in church. But I don’t have a problem if you didn’t. Just don’t preach your atheism to me. I was never one for shoving my beliefs down someone’s throat. I don't think it's asking too much to expect the same respect.
    · I hold some conservative views, but I tend to think I’m sensible with them.
    · I like to go fast. Only as long as it isn’t putting other people at risk. I don’t speed in town or when other people are in the car with me.
    · Some of my favorite movies are: Jurassic Park, Star Wars IV, V, and VI, Skyfall, Les Miserables, Fantasia, The Lion King, Aladdin, Mulan, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
    · I don’t watch a lot of TV but some of my favorite shows are Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Everybody Hates Chris, and nature shows.
    · I love the smell of outdoor air. I would love to be one with nature one day
    · Only when there are no spiders. I’d rather see a bear or a lion than a spider.
    · By the way, did you know I am deathly afraid of spiders?
    · My favorite music has always been rock. 1980s pop and rock is some of the best stuff out there.
    · I love classical music.
    · Country music is evil and I hate it.
    · Besides Luna, my favorite pony is Fluttershy.
    · I used to have a disliking for Rarity until this season. Now she’s one of my favorites.
    · And now that I love Rarity, I love all the Mane 6 from greatest to least: Fluttershy, Twilight, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash.
    · Finally, I don’t care for shipping. Not just MLP shipping, but any kind of shipping. But that’s probably because I’m too cynical. :okiedokielokie:

This got longer than I thought it would but I hope it helps you get to know me better

I think that, when I get older and I'm set in my career, I'm never going to own a car newer than 20 years old. I have a thing for old cars that look good and run well.

I've always had an appreciation for old cars of any kind. Especially cars that used to be respectable cars. For example, the Pontiac Grand Prix. In the 1960s, this car looked pretty awesome. Like a little brother to the GTO

Newer models look like crap. There aren't as many of these as there is the Grand Am.

And I don't only like old American cars. There were some kickass Japanese cars of the 1960s. For example: the predecessor to the Celica and the Supra, the Toyota 2000GT

When I saw this car for the first time, I was shocked. THAT is a TOYOTA?! It looks like a friggin FERRARI!!

Of course, I don't have an appreciation for cars only from the 1960s. Anything in between the 1940s and 1980s is awesome to see. American cars from the 1990s onward weren't all that great. It was kind of the dark ages for domestic motors. The best cars in that decade came from Japan. But 1980s cars are some of my favorites. Like the first generation Honda Prelude (1979 - 1982)

Also, I will always have a thing for the 1980s Toyota Celica/Supra.

I consider my car to be pretty old at this point. It's a goal of mine to rebuild my baby from bumper to bumpter one day. I want to make this car to look as original as I possibly can. She's in rough shape right now but that's what a college budget will do to a car. It's hard to fix the little things that go bad when you don't have a lot of money

But the 5th gen Preludes will always be one of the greats to me

I'll always have an appreciation for old cars. I don't think I'll ever buy a new car. Because even if new cars will have a warranty and will probably lack problems, they just won't have the personality that these old cars do.

On top of that, my mom has a 2014 Mercedes-Benz. And it has this huge LED display that hurts my head when driving at night. The cockpit of my Prelude is all in a nice, dim orange that doesn't take any focus away from the road at all.

Finally, there's too much technology in newer cars. I know they're supposed to be safer and easier to use and whatnot, but it feels like just pointing the car in a direction and just going. When I drive my old car, it feels like actual driving. I feel like, as there is less tech between you and the road, the better connection you have with your car. Like, my car has 2 airbags, antilock brakes, a CD player, power windows/locks, and seatbelts that lock when you jerk them. In fact the most advanced thing in the car is a USB port that plays your iPod and that's aftermarket. It doesn't tell you when you're about to back into something or when the car that is 2 cars ahead of you is about to have an accident and it doesn't listen to your voice. I love that lack of features. I feel like I'm a part of the car, not just a driver. It's a oneness between man and machine. And as a car enthusiast, I want nothing less from a vehicle.

One year ago today, one of the biggest changes to ever hit the fandom became canon.

Something that was only parodied on DeviantArt and in Friendship is Witchcraft became reality.

For many, it was the greatest crime against humanity ponamity. A complete bastardization of their favorite character.

For others, it was a gift from God.

Today marks one year since Twilight was crowned a princess. Can you believe it's already been a year since Season 3 ended?

I can't. Time moves too damn quickly when you get older.

I'm gonna keep this short because I slept like crap last night and my brain is frazzled. I just want to share some of my thoughts and take a look back at this Twilicorn thing.

I remember when she was announced. I remember how most of the fandom freaked out. I remember this

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3kMGDHrqFg

I wasn't too comfortable with it myself. I didn't care for her but my reaction was far from this.

Now, one year later, it doesn't really matter that much. I actually don't mind what they've done with Twilight this season. What we need is a very good Twilight episode this season. I'm not sure that we've had a really good strictly Twilight episode yet. Not anything that was as good as Lesson Zero or It's About Time.

For now, I don't like Twilicorn. I don't hate her, but I don't like her because she just hasn't grown on me yet. So far, I'm just kind of indifferent.

Really, I think she's become less quirky and adorkable than she used to be and I'd like to see that come back. Adorkable is a trait we all love in this pony. In the meantime, I'll be waiting for a truly excellent episode that is centered at least 90% around Twilight. That episode will determine my feelings toward Twilicorn.

In the meantime, happy anniversary to Twilicorn! lol

If you haven't got to know me and my ungodly fear of spiders, then now's your chance to know...I FREAKING HATE SPIDERS!!!

They can all go die in a fire.

But, you know, I get the feeling that if spiders could talk, I'd be a whole lot less afraid of them. Like, we could talk it out and maybe make a compromise. At least he could let me know when he's about to drop form a web right next to my face...

I imagine it would go something like this:

It's 7 o' clock in the morning, and I'm feeling gross. It's time to shower yesterday and last night off of me. I throw the shower curtain open and there's the little bastard. Just hanging in the bathtub. Doing spider stuff. But he talks!

Spider Whoa, man! I'm in here!
Me Oh hey! I almost didn't see you there! The hell are you doing in my bathtub?
Spider Sorry! I can explain this, but you're not gonna squish me, right?
Me Well you're talking and this is a first so I guess I'll let you off the hook.
    Spider Thanks, dude. We cool?
Me Yeah, I guess we cool

    [Awkward silence...]

Me So yeah, about you being in my bathtub...you see, that creates a problem for the both of us.
Spider Yeah, I get that. I came down here because I saw this water and I was thirsty. Now I can't climb up the sides cause they're slick and I can't get out of here. Been stuck all night so I just decided to wait it out here by the drain.
Me Well, I'm glad you told me you're in here. I would have hated to drown you. Do you have kids?
Spider Yeah, only 547 of them. And I appreciate that. It's tough feeding all those kids, but a dad's gotta do what a dad's gtta do.
Me I could imagine. Well, hey, I don't fancy the idea of you crawling up on my hand but I have a piece of cardboard here you can crawl on. I'll move you over here on the counter. You can climb up the wall and out the vent if you want.
    Spider Sweet!

[The spider crawls on the cardboard, I move him to the counter, and he crawls off.]

Spider And thanks again for not squishing me. [holds out leg] Pound it?
Me Well I am like thousands time your size. I hate to leave ya hangin there, but I don't wanna smash you or break your leg. But we still cool
Spider Aight, cool. I'm out of here, bro. This was pleasant. We'll chat later.

[The spider crawls up the wall and out the vent]

Me What a nice fellow. So gentlyspidery.

Really you guise. Every time I check the weather, it's never over 9,000 degrees or balls to the wall cold in Florida. Like, do they wear bikinis in winter too? They probably are. Just to mock the rest of us.

In my Oklahoma town, the current temperature is 13°F. The warmest it's been is 14°F. That's a lovely day [if you live at the South Pole] :okiedokielokie:

    This guy....

It's now my firm belief that this guy was the world's first clopper. And he was doing it 14 years before there were ever G4 ponies.

    Why do I think this?

    Exhibit A:

    And Exhibit B:

He really likes Rapidash. And Twilight = Rapidash. And based on what this guy says about his Rapidash....

Now please gather the scattered remnants of your mind

I was browsing Imgur earlier and I ran into this.

Basically, this guy saw a squirrel drowning in a fountain in his town. Afraid to grab a wild critter with his bare hands, he used a mail bin in the trash to give the squirrel a platform to climb on and lifted it out of the fountain.

Cold, exhausted, and terrified, the squirrel climbed on his shoulder and in his jacket. When he took the squirrel home, he dried and warmed the critter up. The squirrel recovered and he visits this squirrel in the park regularly.

I reserve my right to cry at this kind of beauty

Holy shit! People, this is some bad stuff! The roads are icy and driving conditions are extremely dangerous! My advice is to stay in your home and don't go out!

We've got bad snow all over the roads and conditions are treacherous! If you find yourself stranded, my word of advice is to dig a hole in the snow and get in it! If you want to get fancy, build an igloo!

Don't get ballsy and drive in this.

This is a typical "blizzard" in Oklahoma

Don't know if someone's already done this before me but I had an idea and decided to execute regardless

And yes, I did just make this. So if you would please be so kind as to go to the YouTube page and drop me a like, it'd be appreciated. That way I know people actually enjoy the crappy videos I post on the internet
