so i was going to suggest to the people that didnt watch all of it to go to netflix they have, but no, they got rid of FLCL which makes me mad. netflix use to have a great selection of anime thats why i bought it. but they got rid of so many good anime.im so sad i was going to watch it again

FLCL is a great anime no wonder u picked it first.

ive seen it twice and still dont fully understand it, but even still its great with it art style and randomness. like i said its so confusing it needs to be watch more than once to understand some of it and even then still a little difficult, but i like the challenged.

Wow, this is great work Morager! They really look just like the ponies. Steel is especially well done. I can still see the line from where you had to fix his jaw but otherwise he's perfect. Lyra looks great too. I think her back is a little more rounded, but that's the only thing. I love the job you did on her mane and tail. And the way their tails are forming a heart. xD

 

You've got a lot of drawing talent to do something like this in pencil. Keep it up!

This really deserves a LOT more of attention they look as good as in the actual show and that heart shape really did it, I like people who add lots of detail it adds a whole new dimention and perspective to the picture and it makes you watch the picture for a longer time and in this case loving it even more

yea i kinda notice the his mane was off ill have to make sure to not to do it again in the next one. hes is 25 years old

OK so this is a sketch of Lyra and my OC Steel Shield. I was starting a new sketch on my OC and when i was coming up with the idea for i had the song loves in bloom stuck in my head and i was thinking of Lyra since she shes my favorite background pony. so one thing lead to another and this what came out of it. i hope everypony enjoys and let me know what you think. let me know of any way i can improve my skill.

So i decided to redo/ remake one of my original drawing but do it as a sketch. I know its not the best and has its problems, but i was trying to practice my ability to do a view of a pony from a different angle. I hope you guys enjoy it and give me your opinion on it.

 

The first is the original and the second is the remake.

So i've noticed most critiquing has been done here, but there is one thing I notice that hasn't had a mention yet - the legs

No seriously, the legs on the bottom drawing are...backwards. The first leg we see (talking about the front) should be longer to give a sense of depth, and the second leg should be shorter and more outwards. Whereas the second leg is longer, and the first leg is short. 

Also the back legs are the same length. It makes the character look really...odd. 

 

Other than that and the other areas that don't need mentioning again, I like it. Good job

Hey, this is really cool? Mind if I critique?

 

The first one if completely fine...until you get to the torso and legs. You've made the torso much too small, then probably made the legs based on that, right? So it makes the legs look short, too. So, I'd say make the torso longer and thicker, and then base the legs off of that, and they should look fine. The tail seems a bit small, too.

 

I like the work you did with the armour. He's well protected! It's detailed. See, if you hadn't made the armour detailed, it would have seen stiff and hard to move in. Armour has to have chinks, otherwise the knight can't move, so good job on that. If you shaded the drawing, it would look even better!

 

 

In the second drawing, the legs and torso are better - in fact the torso is almost perfect - but you've made the legs too short. Simply making them longer would fix that (...duh.) I'm kind of confused about the multi-colored stripe on his chin. Is it a beard? His tail is a bit too straight, too. Look to the above drawing. In this one, his tail is rounded in the places it should be. 

 

I do like the shape of his face a lot. I don't know what you're doing with that, but keep doing it! I also love the style of his mane. Really cool! And his tail is the correct size! (Yay!) In this drawing, I believe, his face expression has more personality than in the drawing above it. I like face expression, but it's hard to do, because you really have to play with the eyes and mouth correctly to get the expression you want.

lol wow i always like the big messages like this. well for the first one, yea i thought it looked disproportion, he was base concept idea during the process of creating my oc, i think with the helm it kinda makes the head look bigger, the legs do look to small tho and the tail as well. the second one, the multi color strip is his jaw line beard, it colored that way to match his hair color. to be honest i think pony legs have to be my number one enemy when im drawing lol. thank you for the great detail message, getting these always helps me understand and do better on my next drawing

I finally finished my OC and put him into the database and have a few drawings done too. They are not the best, i was trying a few things, but i still hope you like them. I got a better camera so better pics. As with all my art im open to any tips to help me do better. thank you and enjoy

i do admit shes awesome, awesome enough to where im designing a decal for my new car when i get it, plus painting her cutie mark on it, and this is most important a new sound system and i have great idea for what im doing with that .  other than that she cool, well designed, the dubstep thing is to be expected with this day an age, and just becuase people got inspired to do some great pieces of art and music. so yea im a fan, she not my number one but shes high up there.

Ah of course, I can't really do that here, but if you message me I can surely be of some help. Any art-related questions can be answered, including what materials to use and the like. I won't be able to reply tonight though because I have to get off soon.

That depends, is this a serious question or just an idle compliment? i like to do my own sketchs an been working a little on an OC ive been thinking of. Ive never took classes or anything so im self teach and always look for advice to do better. If you wouldnt mind giving my some pointers i would be very greatful.

i just got min e today myself im so happy, it only cost $12.50 and it came with a lot of cool stuff to. i always seem to find money to buy more pony stuff lol

went to hot topic and got the dj pon-3 card box, im so happy  i paid $12.50 for it. it came with 2 packs worth of cards, one of the a foiled Octavia  and DJ Pon-3 card, a poster matching their card, and a sticker that matches the box. 

I love the show and believe it shows good values. Plus great things have came from the fandom such as art work, music, people wanting to help others. But with the good comes the bad. I dont 100% disapprove the darker side, but im not 100% for it ether. I avoid the r34 part. But i have listen to some of the gore fan fics. If its something you dont like just avoid it, we have to learn to tolerate it. It doesnt mean you have to like it. If we dont we just sound like a bunch of Hippocrates. Like i said i dont support most of what they do, i believe what they do is very creative and unique, and wish they would do it in a different more pleasant way. But its who they are and i dont hate for that. Plus the gender part doesnt matter ive seen plenty of girls that were more into the gore then boys are. Its just something to get use to, no reason to divid or place blam and srry to say its not going away any time soon.

We did really good compare to the $400 last year and i hope the children will be very happy too. I think tho that since this goin to be something we do every year, next year i predict by this time we will have a 125% increase in forum members on top of most member that want to donate but couldnt this year will be old enough to donate next year. I guessing an estimated amount of money year will be around $6000. But its all an estimate, plus you cant under estimate the power of the bronies. i do know for sure youll have my donation next year and i hope to donate more than this year.

This.  for me personally after i finished brotherhood I had such a hard time watching anything else cause everything else was so boring. 

i couldn't really watch brotherhood, since i saw the regular one first, the differences in the first episode of brotherhood alone just kind turn me off from it. i mean i understand what they were trying to do, which was to add more to back story and fill in some missing pieces for the regular one. but just the few little things they had off kinda annoyed me.

i was up last night and got distracted, so i felt like doing a quick drawing and instead of working the main 2 i already have started lol. so whats a good distraction, derpy! whats even a better distraction derpy with a fluggal horn! its not my best but i still hope everypony enjoys it.

Can still donate to the forums, it's also a noble cause. it keeps this place alive.

 lol well i couldnt give $230 but i did give another $30, had to round it up it get the mods to at least do a little more. im very happy that we manage to raise so much, even tho we wanted to raise more its still a great amount.

I just got done with Angel Beats and it made me cry so much, which i very rarly cry so it had some major impact. With the all the back story of the characters and the twist at the end. It was so heart warming.

Thats not the only anime that made me cry ether. Clannad was an amazing one to. I cry a few time from that. It just gets you so attached to the characters, even tho its long, still really good. I actually watch it a second time with my friend. He told me if that i wasnt there he would be crying as i was siting behind him tearing up.

I really love these animes. If guys know any other good one let me know.

Well folks, this is it. This is our deadline date. I'm very optimistic about our goal amount, but can't help but also feel disappointed as well, in a small way.

 

Make no mistake, we, what, doubled or tripled the amount of money we got from last years charity fundraiser? That's not something to scoff at; we surpassed our 1k goal and then piled on an extra 600+ to that. We've made a significant impact to the children's hospital, and we should be proud. And we've also unlocked a lot of goodies; a ton of songs from a chicken and evil fluttershy, tons of raffle prizes, an entire weeks' worth of global community subscriptions, and of course some of the 'major' prizes we got from our tiered goals.

 

Overall, I'd call this very successful.

 

That said, even I admit I had hoped we'd get several thousand more. I at least wanted to hit 4k, to unlock every tiered goal of ours except for the last one. Oh well, it's not about us in the end, but the kids. So I suppose it's not something to dwell on.

 

Thanks are in order to everypony who donated, and a 'muwahaha' is in order for the staff who have/are being forced to sing for everyone else's pleasure :3

 

Posting this now so this topic gets some more attention, if only a little. This post will look silly if the donation amount somehow jumps again before the end of the day, but it'll be fine, because we'll have more money in the end

i feel we did pretty good for what we had. Most couldnt donate cuase they wernt old enough. Plus it did start after black friday lol so most spent there money already and maybe if it lasted one more payday long we probably would've reach 2k. But with that being said i think we did great. Im very proud of this community for doing what they could. The children are going to have a great Christmas this year.

i dont have a pic but mine would is a 2001 bmw 740i, v8 fully loaded, 4 door(gotta have room for fellow bronies), after market black rims, a sleek spoiler, with a custom paint job to match vinyl scratch(cutie mark too) and a vinyl decal of my own creation. top off with a sound system that would make vinyl proud. i actually plan on buying this car and having everything done to it hopefully by next spring
