Decided to grab some PS3 stuff around town to go with my new PS3(I mainly concentrated on getting the exclusives that look interesting, I'm really happy about MGS4 because I've been wanting to play it for years). All are CIB, Heavy Rain was $10, Resident Evil 5 Gold was $7, MGS4 was $7, and Killzone 2 was $7) I just grabbed the PS1 games because they were at one of the pawnshops for $2.50 each.

I also couldn't resist these for $3 each because I remember getting some as a kid:

And this was from a friend that found out I got a PS3 for Christmas and couldn't bear to see someone with a PS3 and no GoW games.

I'm laughing at all the people that said season 3 sucked and left, because season 4 is shaping up to the be the best season. We've got to-notch animation all the way through, good writing, good humor, and what appears to be an actual story arc instead of scattered one-shot episodes.

Honestly, it's been a while since I enjoyed an episode quite as much as I've enjoyed the start of Season 4.

It's by no means good for hardcore gaming, but I've found t's decent for PS2 gen stuff and some early current gen stuff if you crank the setting way down. It seems be good for emulation on up to PS1 as well. A new pentium like this might be a good way to build a emulation rig cheap without having to get a GPU, or you could probably even build a MAME cab with it.

I'm having kind of a problem where I have a lack of motivation to do anything because I keep staring at the distant future and it results in a very nihilistic feeling where everything I try to create or enjoy seems pointless because I all I can think about is when anything I do now will eventually be a distant memory.

I hate it. I want it to go away and I want to just worry about what's happening right now(or just over the course the current year at least)

I got this at Gamestop as a kid and forgot about it, but now I'm curious.

It has not labeled and was sold as a DVD

And the disc even says DVD game:

But on the back it has what looks like PS2 game information

I was reading a page there that brought up a concept of how someone can fake being something for so long it becomes true, and they "become the mask. Anyone of you ever wonder how much of us is who we really are, and how much is just something we faked for so long it become real? I think such a concept explains a lot of the doubts we may all have about our own natures and who we really are, and trying to find the line where we end and the mask begins is a interesting exercise in self-discovery.

There was some sales(mainly $2 for $10 some games, and B2G1 on everything else, and I had an old Gift Card so I wound up paying only $15 or cash for all these, and all of them are complete, the Deus Ex even has the little mini strat guide) It's all games I've been eyeing up so I'm really happy with this haul.

Also nabbed some other stuff for fun at some sales:

and yes, the pics are sizing weird.

Headed out with my Family out of down, so I hit a bunch of thrift shops and such, started out at this little shop in Des Moines and got these for $20 total(only Dracula and the Out of this World have manuals)

Next I hit a place called US Pawn and Jewelry, got the DVD for $1.50 and the Fable II for $2.

To finish up in Des Moines I hit the local DAV(Disabled American Veterans) thrift store. I paid $.65 for the bobble-head and $1.95 each for the games.

On the way back we stopped in a town called Oskaloosa, got really lucky at a Goodwill here. All the games(which are complete) were like $1.20 each because it was half-off. The guide and manual were just $.89 together.

Stopped by a another little Pawnshop and got these(both PS2 games are complete) for $5 each. I figured the DMC was worth it just so I could play it for myself

And finally, grabbed this at a Family Video I stopped by on a whim(I think it's missing the manual)

Dear Indie Horror game makers, I'm getting really sick of you remaking "I Can't See Shit: The Game.", I feel as though you were going for "nothing is scarier" but I feel like I could have gotten the same experience by merely turning off the lights in my bathroom and sitting in there until my eyes lose focus and I begin to hallucinate.

I know you probably put tons of work into the designing the game world, and I would very much like to see it and admire that hard work for myself.

I guess there seems to be some drama going on here and there, so I wanted to take the time to maybe lift some spirits by saying how thankful I am to have found this place. I don't think I've ever really fit into a internet forum like I have here with you guys.

Take this from someone who's been a member in some of the most unfortunate holes on the Internet and been on the wrong end internet drama, ran off, and called things I can't even repeat here just for being in fandoms people didn't like(I bet most of you had no idea that I've been through both the Furry and Sonic fandoms, I'm practically a veteran of internet bullshit at this point. That probably also explains to the curious why I'm so resilient to things going wrong)

Back on topic because I rambled a little bit, I just wanted to say for better or for worse, we have it good here. We have a good community, good staff, and good discussion. I can't praise that last one enough, this is one of the few places I can have a civil debate without hard feelings and venom.

The first is a point of discussion as well, I've been on sites with abusive staff. I can safely say this isn't one of them. I've been on sites with mods so petty they will hand out warning points just because you remove their abusive comments from your page. I'm not lying, I recall a gaming website where a mod left a really abusive comment on my blog, and answered me hiding it with a warning point(it was a 10 point scale) with the reason for it listed as "this will teach you to remove my comments"

I'd also like to add that I was almost ran off from being a brony until I found you guys, because the last brony chat group before here I was in became to venomous to be in. I thank you for pulling me back in to all this.

So in the end, I just want to think everyone for the year and a half I've been here, and I hope for many more to come. I've been on Deviant Art for five years, let's see if we can all top that.

Despite my snarky nature sometimes, I love all you guys and I'm glad to have y'all.

I make a plea to the entire fandom from this little blog, We all like different things, we all create different things, that's what makes us so diverse and wonderful. Same goes for disliking something, you think Snow Drop is a horrible sue, I think she's wonderful, those are are opinions that we are both entitled to. Wonderful things they are, opinions, and it feels wonderful to voice them, positive or negative.

I know it's a human need to vent, I do it all the time. We just need to all remember to be somewhat civil and respectful when we do it. You don't have to sugarcoat things, I sure as hell don't. Just be respectful. People don't always like the same things, this is lesson we all should have learned along ago. We should all know the folly of "stop liking what I don't like" more than anyone.

If you truly think the content someone makes is wrong, I leave you with a challenge, one to better yourself and become a better person. Listen carefully to these words, and think about what they mean. Take that meaning to heart and live by them:

"Hate the sin, but love the sinner."

We caught the little sucker in a jar and I called up a friend who had the stones to handle this thing to turn it loose, it's now somewhere in the pine tree outback(presumably plotting it's revenge, I'm pretty sure it considered chasing after me before deciding to crawl up inside the tree to live another day)

    http://gizmodo.com/5973730/grab-photoshop-and-cs2-for-absolutely-free-right-here

Long story short, they don't want to run the activation severs for it anymore, so it's free right now. You just have to sign up for a free Adobe account. It is legit, I've downloaded Photoshop and Illustrator already(link goes to an article about it, which links to the right place on the Adobe site)

Update: it works, even on Win8

Everyone is entitled to their own subjective opinion on liking or disliking a show or change within in. There are no wrong opinions, just wrong ways to voice them. To call people idiots or accuse them of bitching, or attacking them, or saying you hate them is NOT the right way voice your opinion.

If you can't have a civil debate about it(ie, "I don't understand why people don't like x, I'm fine with it and this is way), then keep your trap shut and don't get involved in the debate at all(exception, if you're using a caustic critic persona and doing it for rule of funny, and said character you're playing is intentionally an asshole, this can be excused. That's called acting. Understand that most internet critics don't really hold many of the extreme views they voice and only do it for the humor. I've done this myself joking around.)

Same goes for objective points in the argument, if you can't admit when you're wrong on a fact or piece of information, again, keep your trap shut. No one likes debating with a brick wall that can't adapt their argument as the conversation goes on.

And finally, don't say things about the creator you can't back up. Keep criticisms to things you can rightfully complain about. like the way they act regarding their profession and work. Regardless of how many people will say otherwise, if they cuss out fans and call people morons for making rightful and well thought out criticisms, that's something you can complain about in a civil fashion.

I went to the gym and now everything hurts.

Also, there was this girl in the most revealing tights I've seen that laid there on the weight equipment with her butt in the air playing on her phone for God knows what reason.

Also, an old man that was so utterly incapable of figuring the machines out everyone in there was staring, and when he finally manage, he put the weight so much past is limit he was struggling to even do a couple lifts.

Also, also I forgot to make a playlist so I spent the day working out to the Karate Kid soundtrack.

I finally gave it a watch now that someone uploaded a rip of the Comic-Con Blu-Ray. I really enjoyed it, it had kinda the same feel as the Disney stuff I watched in the late 90s/early 2000s(the TV shows and direct to TV stuff).

The music was good, and added to that effect. It kinda reminds of that 90s pop you would find on Pokemon soundtracks(yes, I know I'm scrambling different companies together, I was never on for brand loyalty as a kid XD).

It also managed to capture the spirit of the show well, while also being it's own thing, even the humor. They actually managed to sneak in a joke with Twilight walking into the mens room.

The climax was epic. I was surprised how unnerving Sunset's transformation was if you pay attention it's pure nightmare fuel and actually looks like she's in pain for a moment. Being only of the many boys that watched Sailor Moon(please don't ruin my denial), the transformation the mane six went though was a nice moment of nostalgia as well, it caught me off guard. Twilight's speeches though out the ending were surprisingly well written and awesome as well. I'd also like to note Twilight going Mama Bear when Spike is captured is a nice bit of subtle characterization about their relationship as well.

All in all, it's probably not for everyone, but I enjoyed it.
