    You know would be funny?
A Highlander/Starfox Crossover in which Fox introduces him self via full name to Methos and Methos’ eyes just go wide at “Macleod” and he’s like “NO, oh Hell NO. Not another one! You people will be the death of me.”
Then about them time(it’s the version of the timeline we’re they’re married) Krystal introduces herself the same way as he backs out the door in time with her walking and he just loses his shit and runs out the door.
Meanwhile, Joe is laughing and Richie is confused while Duncan is just shaking his head.

Just finished chapter 3 last night and I have a few observations:

The first is that it's poorly optimized as hell. It has a severe lack of scaling options and can barely keep an FPS over 30 on my system that can nearly max Skyrim out at a steady 50-60FPS despite not looking much prettier than something like Resident Evil 5 or one of the PS3/360 generation SIlent Hill games(and that's with the resolution cranked down a little to like 1000p, I might play with a little more).

Even turning the AA off doesn't seem to do jack for the FPS, leading me to suspect it's a dummy option that doesn't even do anything because I can still see rough edges on certain models if I look close. The saving grace here is that the game is slow-enough paced is still plays fine at those lower frame-rates.

The games "suggested" brightness level is "can't shit unless I'm in a room brighter than the sun" and I had triple it in order to make the light-levels balanced enough to actually be comfortable to look at without straining and actually be able to enjoy the graphics.

I'm enjoying it other than that though and I hope they release a patch to optimize it a bit better so I can at least get a consistent 40FPS out of it.

    New DMC/MLP headcannon:
All the princesses are Nephilim(including Twilight, but she’s just now reaching her full power)
Twilight’s little transformation in Feeling Pinkie Keen could be a devil trigger that she can’t fully control and “Nightmare Moon” could be one for Luna since she’s show to be able to take that form at will in Luna Eclipsed.”Dark Magic” could be devil energy and we haven’t see the equivalent of angelic power yet*.
Sombra could be as well(or at least half-demon, which is more that likely considering he only used “Devil Energy” as well call it) and the cloud of darkness is his Devil Trigger form.
*Or the, the mane six are ALL Nephilim and the Elements are an angelic weapon

Well, I gave the new DMC a whirl last night and it's not as bad as everyone says. The gameplay is solid and fun, as the graphics are gorgeous. The story is also decent once you get past how hard it's trying to be dark and edgy. I'm sure you all want to hear what complaints I have though.

Let's start with the big one(there's going to be complaining a lot about the art direction here because that's one of my biggest problems. The graphics may be pretty but there's some questionable design choices.) To be frank: new Dante likes like a punk instead of the happy, unbeat, smart-ass, stylish rockstar we all know and love. He's not completely unlikable as his own character but he acts barely anything like even the young and cocky Dante from DMC3.

Also, he looks like a street bum.

While the old Dante looks like this even at his worst

and tends to look more like this

So we have a failure to actually make him look cool(which is the entire point, his creator designed him from the ground up to be "cool" and that's why being stylish is such a part of the his character and flashy combos score more points)

I mean hell, if Ninja Theory wanted to make is outfit less flashy they make red motocycle jackets, just picture how much color he's look in something like this:

I know it's tiny but it's hard to find men's leather coats in flashy colors on Google, I guess most companies think we all dress like the mafia(my only leather coat IS black but that's beside the point)

I also hate they've down with the weapons:

A really cool set of custom 1911s:

Become these things that look like a Desert Eagle crossed with an alien artifact

Rebellion has lost all the cool detail and become a lump of metal:

So yeah, it's not a bad game but I have my complaints.

I have no clue, honestly. I don't have anything that would make it look like I'm planning a wedding in my wishlist or reviews. All I can guess is someone assumed all the pony stuff on my wishlist was for a girlfriend.

I just for my copy of the Journal Today, and so far is seems pretty nice. As you can see it's made in the same style as the Elements of Harmony Guidebook. It's the same exact size as well, save for being shorter/thinner(it balances out because it has a lot of text in it, unlike the EoH book which was padded with a lot of pictures)

On a quick thumb-through, it has some interesting entries in the Celestia/Luna portion as well(which is the first 2/3 or so of the book, all the journal entries from S4 as printed as well, much the same way the EoH book at all the Friendship Letters in it)

You can get it for around $11+Shipping at Amazon right now:

I was just asking because I found out the creator put a DWM poster in the game and I'm trying to decide if playing a game that immortalizes bullshit fandom drama in such a way is worth it. I'm not an asshole here but that whole mess is something that should just die and think inserting that kind of author tract in something that was in production long before this mess ever happened was kind of a dick move on the part of the author.

Look, I'm sorry if I sound like a douche but the person that headed that mess just rubs very, very wrong and so does anyone personally associated with her. I'm sorry if that sounds crass but it's just a gut feeling these are people I want no part of(and despite my problems, I am pretty good at reading people when I have a level head.)

This song, just this song. It's telling that three years later and it's still be commenting on and has very few bad comments(which are all drowned out by the optimistic cheering of everyone else)

Something about it makes me think back to when I first become a brony I feel that warm and fuzzy feeling I did when I discovered the community and show for the first time and became a part of it.

Everyone link awesome and interesting videos, I made the mistake of watching an Amazing Atheist video(as well as another video from someone just as bad) and now my recommendations are full of bullshit.

Everyone help my flood my history with cool videos and fix this.

Got all these for $12 total(and both the GC and PS2 game are complete)

If you can't see, the SNES games are Biker Mice From Mars and Street Fighter Alpha 2.

and got this for $4(it's a Digital Press R6 on the 10 point rarity scale, which is pretty uncommon)

Wow, I guess Silent Ponyville is finally complete. Normally I wouldn't feel so weird, but this is a series of fics that's been going since shortly after season 1 ended, and I've been following myself since November of 2011.

It's also one of the first major fan-fiction projects I started reading. It feels kind of strange and bittersweet seeing it come to a close, because it did have kind of a downer ending that let off on a bit of a disappointing note.

I'm just kinda sad it seems the game doesn't seem to be making any more progress.

Have a Good Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day, or whatever you may do to honor your troops, I just wanted to take the time acknowledge it, and post a couple related song I like in their honor as well as a old picture I did.

I just finished issue 12, that arc should have been subtitled: The 80s Remembered.

Not that it's a bad thing, as someone who grew up with one foot in the 80s it actually made me smile seeing the writers give them a affectionate send-up. It was fun to see all the shout-outs and try and figure them all out.

Also, as small as it is the Highlander/Haylander poster in the one kids basement makes me happy because if nothing else I got one Highlander shout-out in MLP.

This is an old review I wrote when it first came out, but I stand by the Wedding being the best damn episode of whole show, it created the feeling of the animated movies I grew up with so perfectly that I actually got Nostalgia off of it, and I didn't even think getting that feeling off something you're watching for the first time was possible.

I'd also like to add after a few more viewings, that it holds up to. I can still go listen to This Day Aria or Love is in Bloom and get the same feeling off of it.

Sometimes I sit and think about morality, and one quote springs to mind:

"It's not that simple. We are all both, good and evil, we have rage and compassion, we have love and hate...murder and forgiveness. Why don't you try forgiving yourself for a change."

It's background within the work(Highlander) is interesting. It's spoken by Methos to Duncan when his honor gets in the way and he starts beating himself up over his past sins and convincing himself what he did was inexcusable. Said act happened in the war between Britain and Scottland. After witnessing what the British Soldiers have done he goes on a rampage and kills as many as he can find, as well as the officer that ordered the massacre of his clan and he's facing a friend of that officer and all but ready to die to answer for his crimes.

In the end the point made is that you can not always judge someone by their actions alone, but you also have to look at why they did it and look at who they are as a whole. Methos makes the point that as much as Duncan sees them as innocent soldiers now, when he did it they were the monsters that slaughtered his clan.

I guess the end point is that we all have the capacity for both good and evil.

All this said, I sometimes have to wonder about those that have fallen to the darkness completely. Maybe it's my damn overly strong sense of empathy, but I sometimes feel a tinge of sorrow and regret that a fellow human being felt the need to sink to such levels. As a someone with some level of faith it's made me ponder one thought. Does God cry hardest for the damned, because they are the only ones truly lost forever?

I still need to play the new DMC but...

Does anyone else find the new Dante to be a obnoxious prick and not "cool" at all like he used to be? I think someone missed the point that the reason Dante wasn't dark or "edgy" was because he didn't need to be like that to be cool. He could be a badass without smoking, getting hammered, screwing everything and cussing up a storm.

He was kind a more mature kind of badass.
