After seeing ooBrony's blog entry about being on the forums for a year now (found here: https://mlpforums.com/blog/2032/entry-17623-1-year-on-the-forums-hi-all/)i wondered how long i have been on the forums and found that exactly 3 years ago (in two hours time) i joined MLP forums.

This is my first post on the forums:

So in this time, whats changed?
I joined the forums as a shy unconfident 18 year old who had never tried drawing or anything creative in general, i had problems dealing with depression and rarely found myself seeing any beauty in the world.

Im now 21 and while i still suffer depression i generally can cope with it better now however i find myself struggling with a small addiction to alcohol, after seeing many talented people posting their fan art on the forums i ended up trying my hand at it and found myself enjoying drawing quite alot, i also enjoy riding into the countryside and enjoying moments of quiet reflection. I also now have around 400 games on steam

    What main events have happened?
My last 3 years have been rather uneventful...
Most notably would be my bike crash last year, at the time i rode a CBF125 however a car pulled out on me and wrote it off, causing me to suffer head injuries which resulted in me having to take a gap year from University, it wrote off my bike so i ended up getting a Yamaha XJ6N as a replacement, which i love.

I started a book, which i never ended up finishing.

I moved out from home to live with a friend

I completed my first 2 years of University

I started a Motorbike channel on YouTube

I love this forum and its members, i have taken breaks away from it a few times in the past 3 years but every time i come back it has always been to a warm welcome and to some amazing new members, i do intend to stay around as much as possible and be as active as i can be, posting mainly in General topics and Media whilst also adding to my Lost Art topic as frequently as i can. Thanks for a great 3 years guys!

    Just a short entry.

So, just thought I would air my opinions on Roleplaying because its been bugging me for a while now.

I love the idea of roleplaying, the ability to escape into a fantasy world for a while and have adventures, It also helps to fuel creativity and helps to improve upon writing techniques and may even give someone great ideas for their own stories.

I personally would love to get into Roleplaying but I've no idea where to start or how to go about it, im also concerned about doing something wrong and ruining the experience for others, which is why I've stayed clear of the RP section of the forums.

Said it was a short entry ^^

I've been making game-play videos on YouTube for a while now, but i've started a new series in-which i play Black ops 2 with some brony friends. Right now i only have 2 of these videos up under the series title of FiM (Friendship is Murder). The format i am using is to post 1 main video that has all of us playing in it and separate videos to watch from our points of view throughout the match.

I'm looking for any form of feedback an suggestions for how i could improve or change these videos, i am open to suggestions for renaming the series as its just a name i came up with last minute at like 4AM.

This is the first video, it has no editing on it therefor is much easier for me to produce:

The video is a montage created in the in-game editor, there are links to watch from either my point of view or my friend's point of view. While this method is the fastest way to produce a video, it limits what can be done, leaving very little room for editing and the video is limited to 20 clips in length by the game.

This is my second video, it is highly edited therefor required alot longer to produce:

The video is filmed in the CODcast feature which means i can record the whole match rather than just 20 clips, clicking on either of the video sides will open up a highlight video of the kills in that match by that player, so clicking me (top left) will bring up my highlights. This method takes alot longer to produce but removes most limitations meaning i can edit to my hearts' content.

Which do you think is the better format, and what other changes could i make?

Any feedback at all is greatly appreciated

It really pisses me off when something is wrong with my computer, it pisses me off even more if it's something I can't fix.

I've been having crashing problems on black ops 2 since day of release, when I looked through the error logs I found that prior to crashing my computer would log several hardware errors from my CPU, after trying every possible fix several times I decided to contact Intel on their website:

First attempt at contact - online live chat system:
Intel has an online support that let's you chat with a technical support person through live chat, I opted to try that first rather than sending an email, I waited for 2 hours with the page up, it just constantly told me that a support representative would be available to talk soon.

    Second attempt - support ticket:
I decided to submit a support ticket, it stated that I would receive a confirmation email then within 1 working day I would recivevan email to give me the option to pass on my case to support or to useone of the FAQs, 3 days later and I've only received the confirmation email.

    Intel support = terrible
If my CPU were cheap enough I would have just given up and bought another by now, but if it is fualty I'm demanding a free replacement, I ain't forking out another £250 -.-

I've been writing a book for a while now, a book based on the lore of League of Legends, I quickly ran a word check on it and found out that I've written 30 pages (assuming an average of 240 words per page (to get this figure I chose a selection of pages from the hunger games and got the average word count from them))

Right now I consider myself to be nearly half way through chapter 2, although I've had writters block for 3+ months, I have started writing some short stories based on Assassins Creed, this got me thinking, what is the boundary betwwen a book and a shirt story.

So my question to you is - what do you think the boundary between a short story and a book is?

Apologies for any grammatical or spelling errors, writing on this iPad is laggy as hell.

I've had a first generation iPad for just over a year now, I was bought it for my 18th birthday, my younger brother managed to convince a few of my family members that I wanted one (which I didn't), don't get me wrong, I am grateful for my gift and if I could change it I wouldn't, it's just so damn slow.

I primarily use this thing for writing, web browsing and recently I've been using it for drawing, but I have noticed that it is rather slow, most noticeably when typing long sentences or loading webpages with a fair amount f images or text, to load a page on these forums for example can take up to a minute and it has a tendency to skip up and down the page while I scroll and reset the typing field. But it's not just the web pages, when typing it takes it a few seconds to catch me up, when you press a key it Simms the key down, but when I'm typing I often find it not writing anything at all for a few seconds then typing it all in one go, highlighting all the keys I pressed at once.

I've also noticed a large amount of lag when drawing, I will make brush strokes on the page and it will take it a few seconds to catch up, but I expected this anyway so it doesn't bother me too much.

Long story short, sometimes my iPad pisses me off to the point of wanting to throw it at a wall, slow tech irritates me too much though, maybe should invest in a new one.

Rant is over , needed to get that outa my system

I'm not sure as to if i should class myself a closet brony or not, i am openly a brony on the internet and the day following watching MLP i told all my friends and although they didn't really understand it i did ask them to check it out.

In fact the only people i have not told that i am a brony are my family. So what does everypony think? am i a closet brony?

I have an amazing ability to procrastinate just about anything, I even procrastinate fun things with boring things or just nothing. So I figured I may aswell procrastinate writing with making this blog entry.

I seem to have a tendency to loose motivation part way though things, I love making YouTube gameplay videos but as my subscriber count dropped and my view counter slowed increasingly, I found myself lost and no longer motivated enough to continue making videos. I made a new video today, just a quick 2 min long one to see if it gains any interest, if it dosnt I think I'm just gonna give up on making videos.

I started to write a book based on League of legends, I have an entire storyline planned out all I need to do is write it down, yet I can't seem to bring myself to continue writing, it's a lot to write and what if when I'm done nobody likes it, I'm thinking about writing some short fan fics and other short stories to home my writing skills enough that when I do get around to writing my book it should be half decent.

I started writing this blog with the intention of asking for ideas on any fan fics or ways to promote my videos but it turned out rather depressing, for that I am sorry, but the above question still stands and also does anyone else procrastinate a lot? Of so, how do you find is the best way to stay focused?

    Hey hey everypony!

After completing Bioshock Infinite last night i decided that i should put in my two bits about the game, so i did a video review of it on my youtube channel. If you dont want to watch the video then i'm including the written version anyway, cuz i'm nice like that

    Written:

Plotline – Bioshock Infinite is the third instalment in the BioShock series, set in 1912 you play as Brooker DeWitt on a mission to find a girl named Elizabeth in the flying city of Columbia and bring her back “to wipe away your debt”, utilizing guns and Vigors (Infinite’s version of plasmids), upon finding Elizabeth she will aid you in fighting. The plot itself is a very rich story and I thoroughly recommend picking up any bonus objectives you can and any of the Voxaphone recordings you find to fill out more of the story. (10/10)

Graphics – The graphics in Infinite are the best so far in the series, the graphics are rather stunning throughout the game but the main selling point for Infinite is the gameplay and storyline meaning that while the graphics are brilliant they are not the greatest available. (9/10)

Animations – The animations on the game are great, different methods for killing result in different death animations but my personal favorite are the animations you get from picking up and using Vigors, walk around long enough without firing your gun and the game will remind you which vigor is selected through a small animation on your left hand which is relevant to your current vigor, such as feathers sprouting from your hand when you have the “Murder or Crows” vigor selected. (9/10)

Odd extra content – There is an abundance of references and none game relevant content within this game, ranging from songs such as “Tainted love” playing on some of the speakers to Bioshock 1 & 2 references and references to games in general that amused me greatly, although my favorite has to be on a mission when walking past a “Tear” rock music starts playing, and there is a small dialogue interaction between Elizabeth and Brooker. (10/10)

Interaction – There is a decent amount of interactivity in this game, many boxes and desks can be searched in order to gain money from them but my favorite interactivity is that between Elizabeth and Brooker, now and then she will find coins and items for you and throw them to you, in fights she will often see what you are lowest on and throw you scavenged ammo and salts. (10/10)

Bugs – surprisingly I encounter very few bugs in this game, there are two that stood out to me, early on I killed someone on a ramp using the “Devil’s Kiss” Vigor and their corpse slid down the ramp and disappeared, the second bug that stood out is in one of the final missions, whilst following a ghost the game seemed to fail to pick up on my following, I had to do a few laps of a graveyard before it continued with the mission.

Bioshock Infinite is a well-rounded and generally fantastic game, this game has to be my favorite in the Bioshock series and possibly my favorite single player game in years, hence why I am producing a review for it, I thoroughly recommend this game and I highly recommend playing through on hard for your first play through due to the nature of the ending of the game, playing through a second time is a somewhat ruined (but still fun) experience.

Overall I give this game a rating of 9.6/10

So, most of you who know me on the forums (a select few ) will have noticed that i've been unusually inactive for a while now, this is not for lack of wanting to be here it is entirely down to the huge amount of work i have taken on.

I'm a university student, so i spend at-least 3 days a week working on university work, which usually spills over to take up around 5 days on bad weeks, ontop of that i'm a partnered YouTuber so i have to produce a certain quota of videos (to meet my minimum views) which isn't easy (especially with all the sniper nerfs on Black Ops 2) along side my main channel i am now producing a second channel for a sniping clan (currently comprised entirely of bronies) which means organizing sniper sessions, recording hundreds of clips and teaching some of them how to edit videos.

So as you have probably guessed, i'm pretty swamped at the moment, which is why i have not been too active and why i haven't been drawing much either, but soon i should be able to start the ball rolling and relax a little more.

No idea why you would want to know any of that anyway but meh

Also, this is a strange thing to ask in a post complaining about not having enough time but.... I'm thinking about kicking my review series back up, what would be a good PC game to review?

I'm aware that my blog posts tend to be less of a personal nature and more about rants than anything, this is not one of those posts, today I shall tell you about the events of yesterday, it was a rather eventful day, so I shall put the events in order.

As I do every Uni day, I got up and ready, sat on my motorbike and set off, however I didn't arrive at uni on my motorbike, or on time for that matter, as I set off down my road I hit a patch of ice and ended up sliding down the road, not a great start to the day, I'm fine but my bike is now in for repairs.

The next event takes part back at home after uni, my CPU has been faulting for a while and yesterday I had to dismantle my PC to send my CPU off for a replacement, I'll be without a computer for around a week, considering I'm a computer student who spends atleast 12 hours a day on my computer, this isn't great, but hopefully should be worth it.

The final event happened just as I was heading to bed, it is actually very good news for me, I got signed to the Social Blade network (a subsection of Maker Studios) for my YouTube videos, making me a partner on YouTube now

So the day started off bad, continued being bad then got good at the end

So, when i was younger, i listened to Rollin' by Limp Bizkit all the time, as such the lyrics have always remained with me. Tonight i was playing Black Ops 2 and some guy kept bunnyhopping and dropshotting (bunnyhoppin = Jumping around everywhere to avoid being hit, Dropshotting = Dropping to the floor to avoid being hit (Both considered to be very cheap tactics (Atleast in the PC gaming world anyway))) I thought to myself "Yeah yeah, keep on dropping noob" then suddenly it clicked, i left the match and opened up word.

So without further filler text, i present to you a rough version of the lyrics i came up with for Pronein' - A COD version of Rollin'

You should probably watch this video if you have never heard the song before: (song starts at 25 seconds)

Here are the lyrics to Rollin' (for comparison)

Thoughts? & Suggestions on what i could change?
