    So before this whole Equestria Girls things was even announced, I always thought it would be kind of cool to see a spinoff show where the mane 6 are in high school or college or something, I thought that would be pretty neat. Well, it seems that this concept will become reality in the new Equestria Girls movie thing...but wait...there's only one problem...THEY'RE NOT PONIES!!!!!!! For whatever reason, the creators decided to turn the ponies that we know and love into weird alien-looking anthro type things. Seriously, this whole thing would have been a dream come true for me if they had just kept the characters as ponies!!! It's just not the same having them humanized, plus I really have never been a fan of humanized ponies. Plus, here's the other big problem. Based on the trailer, it seems like yet another typical cliche high-school show. I mean they turned the mane 6 into stereotypical high school students. Twilight is the typical smart girl, Rainbow Dash is the typical jock, etc. Plus, to top it all of, they just HAD to add the very overused concept of having some "cute guy" with no personality be Twilight's love interest. I mean, really? The creators couldn't be more creative than this? I really hope this show ends up being better than it looks. If only they had just stayed as ponies...I mean honestly, the characters look sooooo much better as ponies, what were the creators thinking making them into weird alien people????

    Why is it that every time I like a girl, I found out she has a boyfriend??? This literally happens every single time that I start to like a girl, it's starting to get on my nerves!!! Why must all the cute girls be taken already? ;_;

    Well, I just partially realized why I'm attracted to Rainbow Dash...
     
    I noticed that I am attracted to athletic girls quite a bit. Girls that play sports like softball, volleyball, basketball, etc. Especially cute athletic girls
     
    Rainbow Dash is pretty athletic, so that explains somewhat why I find myself attracted to her.
     
    So yeah.

    Guys, there's no need to overreact so much about the Twilight alicorn thing. There is no guarantee that she is going to stay an alicorn, and even if she does, I doubt the show is going to be ruined because of it. Just wait until it actually happens before you go freaking out over nothing. I'm sure the writers know what they're doing, they wouldn't ruin the show.

    I decided to try to write a fanfic for the very first time. This is the first part of it. Just to warn you, it's absolutely terrible, and the concept is very unoriginal. But that's what happens when you are extremely unimaginative.
     
    Basically, the story is about my OC named Ice Beam, and he has a crush on Rainbow Dash, blah blah blah
     
    So without further ado, I present to you the first part of my fanfic. (Don't worry, it's gonna get a lot more interesting later on).

    I kind of want to write a fanfic, but the problem is, I'm horribly unimaginative, and I'm not really that great of a writer. My spelling and grammar is pretty much flawless though, so I wouldn't have a problem with that. However, I really don't think I would be able to write a very good fanfic and I doubt anyone would really want to take the time to read it. I also probably wouldn't have the patience to even write it.
     
    If I were to write it, I have kind of a vague idea of what the story would be. I would want to make it like a shipfic about my OC and Rainbow Dash. I would want to add some drama and stuff though, so I would maybe have him like cheat on Rainbow Dash with Rarity or something lol. Idk, I'm not very good at being creative :/
     
    Maybe if someone who is experienced with writing fanfics could help me out or give me some advice or something, that might help.

    So I'm gonna talk a bit about why I liked season 1 of MLP:FIM better than season 2 and 3.
     
    Basically, I liked how in season 1, all the mane 6 (for the most part) were involved in and played a role in each episode. It seems like starting in season 2, each character started essentially having their own episode, which made the roles of the rest of the mane 6 very small in each episode. The problem with this is that you hardly get to see your favorite character do anything unless it's their episode. In season 1, even when the episode was focused on one character, the others in the mane 6 still played a prominent role. (Examples: Ticket Master, Party of One)
     
    Now, you have episodes like the newest Applejack episode where not a single member of the mane 6 besides AJ played a role in the episode. I mean that's all good if you love AJ, but what if you love RD, Rarity, Twilight, Pinkie, or Fluttershy? Now you have to wait a whole week just to even have a chance of seeing that character in the show.
     
    Bottom line: I liked it better when all the mane 6 played a role in the episode, as opposed to each character having their own episode and the other characters being left out.

    Well, as of today it has been exactly 1 year since I joined MLP Forums. I honestly never thought I would be here this long when I first made an account. I want to thank everyone here, especially my friends, for making this such a fun website to be on. I've really had a great time on these forums in the last year. However, I must say the forums have really changed since a year ago. Many of the people I knew before have left by now, and the people who are still here aren't nearly as active. I really miss those days back in the day, but I still enjoy posting on the forums, even if things aren't quite the same. Anyway, I just want to thank all of you here on MLP Forums for making this such an awesome place. I truly believe this is the greatest community ever.

    Okay, so I have been asked by people why I like Rainbow Dash so much. Many people hate her with a fiery passion due to her arrogance and potential to be a complete bitch at times. First of all, I want to say that I completely admit that she acts like a bitch sometimes, mostly in season 2 and season 3 a little bit. I already made a rant about her being a bitch recently, so if you're interested you can go read that blog entry.
     
    Anyway, I am now going to talk about why I like Rainbow Dash. Many of you might not know that my favorite pony was actually Twilight Sparkle when I first started watching the show. I always tend to like the main character of any show, book. movie, etc. the best because the main character usually receives the most screen time and is developed the most and whatnot. I also admired Twilight's intelligence, rationality, logic, etc. But enough of Twilight.
     
    Anywho, when I was first getting into the show, I was watching a lot of pony videos on Youtube and I saw a lot of cool Rainbow Dash videos and I started thinking like "Wow Rainbow Dash is really awesome!!!" I think the video that really got me liking Rainbow Dash was the "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" PMV. Most of you have probably seen that, and if not, just look it up on Youtube.
     
    So naturally, I grew more fond of Rainbow Dash, and by the time I was done watching the first season, Rainbow Dash was officially my favorite character. So at this point (around December of last year), I found MLP Forums and made an account. My love for Rainbow Dash was probably very obvious, considering her name was in my username and I used only RD avatars for the most part.
     
    So back to what I was talking about at the beginning. People ask me, "How can you like RD? She's such a mega bitch!"
     
    Well, here's the thing. I don't picture Rainbow Dash as a bitch, regardless of how she acts in the show sometimes. I like to imagine her having all those awesome qualities that she has without the negative bitchy qualities that she tends to sometimes have. I will admit that I had a pretty big crush on her several months ago. I liked to imagine her as being the kind of girl that I would be attracted to and would love to have as a girlfriend or whatever. I basically took the things that I would want in a girlfriend and attributed them to Rainbow Dash. That sounds kind of weird, but yeah.
     
    So basically, I don't think of her as a bitch, but as an awesome girl (mare?) that can maybe be a bit cocky at times, but can still be an awesome, loyal friend and somepony whom I would love to be with.
     
    So, there you have it. I probably didn't explain this very well. I've never been good at explaining things :/
