  1. When in the Magic timeline is this taking place? It'd have to be at least somewhat recent, since we'd need to be using Neowalkers. Old Walkers are way too powerful to have a good RP with.

What ancient evil are we fighting? Nicol Bolas is kinda lame and the Phyrexians have been toned down by a lot by the whole "getting their asses handed to them by Urza and his bros and having to come back and take over Mirrodin" thing.

Also, I've had some ideas for running an MTG RP that incorporated some aspects of the game into it. Might you be interested?

  2. I'd like to share a revelation that I've had during my time here. It came to me when I tried to classify your species and I realized that you're not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment but you humans do not. You move to an area and you multiply and multiply until every natural resource is consumed and the only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet. You're a plague and we are the cure.

    - Agent Smith, The Matrix.

Really puts things into perspective, huh?

    No, for 2 reasons:

    1. It's incorrect. Other animals don't instinctively develop equilibrium, they do what they do wantonly until resource shortages limit their population. If you had a few foxes and a group of rabbits, the foxes would eat the rabbits until there were so few that the fox population would decline. The lack of predators allows the rabbit population to grow, which allows the foxes to increase, which depopulated the rabbits, ad infinitum. This actually happens and it can be observed if you look at population statistics for predator/prey animals. This is also why invasive species are such a big threat: they seldom have any predators to keep them in check, so they go wild. They don't say "woah, I need to hold back or all this native life will die out". They say "holy shit this place has food and no predators. PARTY TIME MUTHAFUCKAZ!" and then we have an infestation that can choke out the native life, usually forever altering the ecosystem as causing multiple species to become endangered or even go extinct.

Humans actually do realize that they can use up resources and try to conserve them. Maybe not enough, but as far as conservation goes, we're better than every other animal on the planet. If we didn't conserve at all, we'd be equal with the animals.

    2. Agent Smith is a computer program that hates humans and sees them as inferior. Of course he rationalizes reasons to hate them more and pass it off as helping the universe or whatever. Also, It's totally possible he just made it up to trash talk Morpheus. But I doubt it, he's just delusional, in such capacity as a program can be delusional.

  3. If its a discussion, I read it all.

When it's a thread like this, where OP asks a simple question and people give simple answers, I'll still usually read all of them, but I'll skim some if the thread is too long.

If a thread is reeeeeaaaaaalllllly long, like a new episode discussion thread, I generally won't read the whole thing.

Whenever I post without reading/skimming everything, I apologize for it.

  4. Feed The Beast is a pretty cool pack. I like how it is in 1.4 and it has a pretty good selection of mods. It lacks the Optifine mod though, but that is not too bad. The main reason why I disliked Tekkit was because it had some pretty bad mods in it like the Equivalent Exchange mod (unbalanced as hell), but FTB has none of that. There was a few minor problems when I first installed the launcher, but those were fixed easily and now it's running as smoothly as regular minecraft.

What's bad about EE, it's a great mod. Balance doesn't matter in single player; if you think something is OP, don't use it. I find it quite fun if you keep all your stuff at MK1. Not OP, but you can still use some of the cool alchemy parts of the mod.

I will admit that EE is mostly bad for multiplayer.

  5. I don't eat a lot. Most was probably when my sister and I ordered a pizza while home alone. She was in the shower when it came, and I was playing LoL, so I wasn't really paying attention to anything else. I ended up eating the whole pizza and drinking 3/4 of the soda by the time she came downstairs, looking for dinner. So as an apology, I made her some pasta with some kickass cheese and broccoli sauce, and ate some of that, too.

    Felt bad, man :(

Ignore this, double post and I apologize. My internet browser likes decieving me.

If someone with the rights can delete this post I'd be most grateful.

You can report your own posts, you know :)

  6. Eh, I've played it a bit, unlocked a few characters. I was intrigued by it being called a bullet hell MMORPG, but it didn't really live up to my expectations. Not really a bullet hell and not really an RPG, just a top down shooter with some RPG elements.

It didn't do much for me, it seems like just a big grindfest until you can get good equipment and tons of potions so you can max stats and then kill he boss :/

Also, I've played a fair amount of roguelikes in my time as a gamer, so permadeath is nothing new :/

  7. Not really as I listen to mostly darker songs, like "Angel of Death,"but then I can quickly go from that to a Disney song.  Judging by that i'd say it's bup-kiss.

Heh, I'm listening to Angel of Death as I type this. Reign in Blood is one of my favorite albums :)

Anyway, probably 80% of what I listen to is metal of some kind, and pretty much all of it is dark, not to mention a lot of people would find some of it completely fucked up. I love violent, brutal lyrics paired with fast, heavy, relentless riffs you find in thrash, death, black, and other such genres of metal, but I also love deep, thought provoking lyrics and interesting stories set to the beautiful playing of progressive. And of course, I often sing along to Classic Rock, MLP and Disney soundtracks while driving.

I may seem somewhat dark on here, but that's because I can let it all out without social inhibitions. In real life, I only act like this among close friends and other people I can trust to not judge me for it.

  8. The Snickers commercials starring Mr. T have always been favorites of mine. Here's all of them in one video:

And of course, the classic Golden Sun commercial that has absolutely nothing to do with the game (although the opera house and the chandelier dragon do show up in the third one :)). It's still an awesome commercial.

  9. Please explain me how they are unfunny? And how are his jokes uncreative uh? Thats good that i tolerate him , i just wish people would hate him less

And to Nixter, even though you hate him i respect your opinion.

I'll admi I've only seen a few of his videos, mostly for horror games. They basically went like this:

"I'm PEWDAPIIIIEEEE!!!!!!! And I'm playing (insert title here)"

    *starts game*

"okay, this is a bit creepy... Hey wait, I'm a girl? I wonder if I'm hot. I probably am, I'd like to get me some of that pussy."

"yeah, this is pretty creepy... Hey, what's that? I'll go check it out..."

*something scary flashes on the screen for half a second*

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

    Whoo... Okay, I'm okay...

Holy shit that was scary! I think I'm going to sing the pussy song to distract myself"

"oh I want to dive into that pussy, I'm going to dive straight into some pussy. Oh I love pussy, I love to get me some pussy. Pussy pussy pussy yeah."

    *something else scay*

    "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

DON'T RAPE ME IN THE ASS!!!!!!

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Oh my god that's scary! I almost got assraped..."

And then that presumably went on for another several minutes. I'm not sure, because I stopped watching :/

Anyway, I don't really like many LPs. The only one's I've found that I like are Freeman's Mind and Bro Team. Both are quite funny, but in very different ways. Freeman's Mind is very deadpan and sarcastic with some pretty clever jokes every now and then. It helps that it's an LP of an amazing game that I've played multiple times :)

Bro Team is full of rapid fire, witty jokes. Basically every line (with some exceptions now and then) is creative, funny, and relevant to the game. They don't repeat jokes except in a few cases, and in those, it's generally because they are making fun of something in the game that is also repetitive or comes up a whole lot.

In any case, humor is subjective. You may like PDP, I don't. We're not going to change each others minds :/

  10. That's a little harsh, don't you think?

His personality may be a bit... Strange (I don't know how else to put it.)

But many do people enjoy him.

But with saying that, watch whatever you want, I just don't understand why people must spam caps when they could have just said, "I don't really find him funny." or "It's just not my thing".

    img-1026726-1-21445007.jpg

    Not harsh at all.

    Well, maybe a little, I'd give him 1/10, since I don't give 0's :P

And I tolerate him in that I don't go to all his videos and post about how they suck.

Don't ask me to love him for using the same unfunny jokes in practically every video, obvious overreactions to horror games, and annoying songs full of uncreative sex jokes.

  11. I'm going to assume a few things:

A: I don't believe in an afterlife or anything, but for the sake of this, I will act as if there is one, and that I believe.

B: I was raised Mormon, so I will go with the Mormon concepts of Heaven and Hell.

And I choose Heaven. Mormonism gets pretty weird on subjects like this. See, Heaven is divided into 3 sections (Degrees of Glory). The lowest is where really bad people go, the highest is where really good believers go (the highest is further divided into 3 sub-degrees, but we don't know much about them. I think they have to do with how often you are in the presence of God or something), and everybody else goes in the middle degree. We don't know what it's really like there, but according to early prophets, even the lowest is so amazing that people would kill themselves to get there. The Mormon God is real bro :)

Anyway, in the highest Degree of Glory, you become "like a God". Basically, if you're really good in your Earth life and are Mormon, you eventually become a God and can create your own universe and whatnot. Also, it is believed that our God was once human and went through a similar process that we are going through now.

All in all, Mormons have some pretty interesting beliefs. It is the only Christian religion I know of that has specifically said there are aliens (there are other planets inhabited by humans, or at least beings extremely close to humans; not all of God's Children could fit on one planet, apparently :P). Or also the belief that God didn't create the universe out of nothing, but that all the matter and energy existed before hand, and he simply influenced physics to form it in certain ways, which is the reason why you almost never see Mormons bashing science; The Big Bang, Evolution, planet and star formation? Yeah, it all happened, but God made it happen the way it did :) Same with miracles; instead of saying "fuck you physics, it's Jesus time", Jesus said "hey, physics... you know that really cool shit that is technically possible but so improbable that it might as well never happen? Let's do that".

Again, I'm an atheist, but Mormonism is a very interesting religion.

  12. Dude..... CROC IS BEAST! :D

    Hell yeah it is :)

Anyway, my earliest gaming memories are of playing this gem:

    250px-Chex_Quest-front_cover.png

I've been playing FPSs since I was 5, and it's always fun to come back to Chex Quest. I can beat the whole first game in ~20-30 minutes now :)

  13. I'm a Pegasister but that is just a sub-sect of being a Brony. Its not an "Us against them" or that Bronies are making all the gore, R34 stuff. In fact, one of the Goriest things I ever read was written by a pegasister.

Good point, and it reminds me: some of the best pony R34 I've seen was drawn by a girl at my old college. She loves the show, and just also happens to like drawing hentai. Put 2 and 2 together...

    • Brohoof 1
  14. I like ponies. I like porn. I like guns. I like violence. Stands to reason I'd like ponies combined with porn, guns and violence (though not at the same time. Guro is a major turnoff). Seems like common sense to me. As for it disrespecting the show, would people put all that time into making fanfics and really well drawn R34 for a show they don't like? I sure wouldn't. Maybe it's not in line with the show itself, but it isn't the show, it's a fan work based on characters from the show. People have a talent, and they use it to make things they like, and sometimes it isn't all happy and colorful like the show is. That doesn't make it bad.

Also, I don't like gorefics because gore is lame. Psychological horror >>>>>>>> gore and shock horror.

    • Brohoof 4
  15. I'd either ignore her, or say something along the lines of "says the girl who is watching a movie about robots that turn into cars". Probably the former. I sure wouldn't grace that bitch with a handshake :P

Also, as far as I'm concerned, things can't detract from masculinity (or femininity), only add to it or be neutral. So you can be a football player (pretty manly, unless you're really bad), and then go to a party full of pink lacey pillows, appletinis and gay sex (none of which are manly), and you'll still be manly because you're a football player.

  16. Nice art, I especially like the hair.

Although to be accurate, she'd need to be about twice as fat, derpy eyed, have really short legs, and be gobbling up the pony equivalent of system resources :P

  17. So much misanthropy in here :(

Something that I've always loved happened in Leningrad during WWII. There's a seedbank there (a place where seeds are preserved so that crops and stuff can be regrown in the event of a famine or something), and a bunch of botanists stationed there during the siege of Leningrad. They knew how important the seeds were to the future, so even though the city was cut off, had no supplies, and people were starving to death every day, the botanists stuck around and defended the seed bank. Most of them starved to death while literally surrounded by a ton of edible grains and other seeds. The seeds survived to help replant after mass crop death in multiple countries.

  18. I never actually finished NV, I just kept making new characters. This tends to happen to me on a lot of open world RPGs :P

Anyway, my first character had messy, auburn hair, and was evil (I always go evil first time I play a new game where you can choose). I mainly just ran around and VATs bitches in the head a 10mil. I ended up with Caesars Legion, but having rangers chase me down all the time was annoying.

Second character was mostly the same stat-wise, but with a different appearance and neutral karma. I almost finished that one.

My 3rd character was Bill Nye. Good karma, as close to Bill Nye as I could make him look, high intelligence and charisma, and uses lasers and science. Didn't get very far, but it was fun RPing Bill Nye in fallout :)

Also, general question to those who say 3 is better. I don't want to start an argument, but why do you think that? Also, have you played the older Fallouts (1 and 2) at all?

I've never played any of the games in the Fallout series, although I've heard that they are good. I don't know if a new one is coming out or anything though, because I usually won't buy old games when I could just wait until the newest one comes out. (With the thought in mind that the newer one will be better.)

That's a sad way to look at games, you probably miss out on a lot of great ones :(

I mean, Diablo 2 is way better than 3, Morrowind is better than both Oblivion and Skyrim, Fallout 2 is better than any other FO, CoD 2 is better than Modern Black WarOps 6 zombie edition or whatever.

  19. Well, in theory, they could effect each other. If our 4 dimensional universes (3 of space, 1 of time) are floating around in 5-D "space", then it's not unreasonable to think that one might bump into another universe, and in that case, I think it plausible that there would be at least some kind of energy transfer. It might not even be observable to us, or it could appear to break the Law of Conservation :/

Maybe not, but I don't think we can rule out the idea of other universes effecting each other; after all, of you go up to a high enough dimension, we're still technically in the same multiverse. But we can't really know until we have a better understanding of physics.

Or we could just find a way to "see" higher dimensions. :P

  20. a dead man swtich? a little too far arent you? i doubt the russians would trust that shit to a computer, nukes are too watched these days, i for one wouldnt trust my nukes to a computer.

    I said "worst case" didn't I?

And I mentioned Dead Hand, it's very real and was active during the Cold War. According to form KGB, it's maintained, and even updated with new hardware and software. Also, it's not completely autonomous, it still requires at least someone to push the button; it says something along the lines of "hey, we just got the shit nuked out of us, click here to retaliate". Somebody can get on the phone/check the news/look out the window and confirm, and the push the button.

  21. Yes I am, thank you very much :)

I haven't done much evil stuff outside of fucking up school computer networks (mostly in high school), fucking computers of idiots (also in high school, and a few times in college), and stealing stuff from douchebags (middle school and freshman year of high school). My friends and I used to catch and kill crickets in creative (and usually painful, I would assume) ways. I've killed a few small woodland creatures for fun, mainly using them as moving target practice with a BB gun. It rarely kills in one shot, so they're often left on the ground in pain :/

Most of my evil is in my thoughts. I've planned how I would get away with numerous crimes; how I could commit arson without getting caught, cover up a murder, get past security and steal things, make various homemade weapons, but I've always had a clear line dividing reality from fiction in my mind, so I've never had even the slightest desire to actually commit any of these crimes. Well, except make some illegal homemade weapons. I'd never go out and actually use them, I'd just have the parts around so it could be quickly assembled in case some serious shit goes down and I need a small shotgun ASAP.
