  1. Okay this rule so far has been a wonder in roleplaying.

So far the quality of roleplay posts I've seen has improved by at least 60%. Keep up the good work admins.

Now if only there were a way to enforce proper, or at least decent, grammar. That's probably my main turnoff from RP's :/

  2. Dullahan from Golden Sun: The Lost Age is definitely up there. He has basically infinite mana and huge amounts of HP, and both have fairly high regen. He also gets 3 attacks a turn.

Lets look at his attack list, shall we?

Attack: A normal attack. Not that threatening, actually. You will learn to love the times when he uses his turn to simply attacks you.

Element Swap: As far as anyone can tell in the ~9 years the game has been out, it does nothing. It's a fucking godsend when he uses it.

True Collide: This is a bad translation of... something. Anyway, it deals a fair amount of damage to your whole party and heals him for the amount of damage dealt.

Formina Sage: A bad translation of Fulminous Edge. It deals OMGWTFBBQMASSIVE damage to one person, and usually kills them unless they're at full hp and have defense buffs.

Charon: Charon is the second most powerful summon in the game. The soonest the player can use it is turn 3, and that's with all 4 party members using their turns to set it up instead of healing, buffing, or attacking (unless you put the djinn in standby before the battle starts, which is really cheap and most players consider it borderline cheating).

Dullahan can pull Charon out of his ass for free whenever the hell he wants. It deals big damage to the whole party and has a chance to OHKO whoever it hits.

But his ultimate "fuck you" attack: Djinn Storm: In Golden Sun, there are these things called djinn, which you "equip" to your party members to increase stats, change classes, etc. When in battle, you can unleash them for a cool and powerful effect, but then they are no longer attached to that character, which results in them having slightly worse stats or changing into a weaker class. Unattached djinn can either be manually reattached so you get your good classes back, or can be spent on a summon. If you use djinn to summon, the relevant number of djinn go into recovery, where they hang out, being useless, until the reattach themselves to their party member, one at a time at then end of each turn. It's a nice system; do you keep your djinn where they are so you're people are always in your preferred class, or unleash them in battle to get powerful effects at the cost of losing your good classes for a few turns? And then, do you reattach them immediately, or go all out and use summons, hopefully to kill the boss before they can take advantage of your weak classes?

Djinn Storm just says "fuck you" by putting all your djinn into recovery. You get weak classes, and no powerful effects or summons. And with Dullahan's move set, you basically can't recover from that, and if you do, it wil have taken so many turns that Dullahan will have recovered all his health, and the only thing you will have accomplished is wasting a lot of healing items.

Also, Polyhedrons in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. Of course, SO is full of normal enemies that are purposefully so OP that you can't beat them unless you're way overleveld or come back to that area later in the game. Proclaimers fall into this category, as well. And the post game bosses are just absurd.

  3. To the complainers complaining about the complainers: Some of us can summarize our detailed opinions, making them short but not lacking quality. We're not all lazy.

That being said, though I think I already said this, I don't really have a problem with this, unless I start getting in trouble for a few invisible characters tacked onto the end of a short, yet relevant response. The character counter should help a bit.

  4. MTg cards, and pokemon cards, and warhammer. Here are some of my more valuble mtg cards.

    post-4549-0-37195900-1342958644.jpg

Is that a Steam Vents I see? Feel like selling?

Anyway, I collect mtg cards, mostly foil or non-english spiders, since spiders are awesome, and I noticed I had a few foils and japanese spiders. I would post a picture, but my Ipod is broken :/

Also, working on getting a Giant Spider from every core set without just buying them all from the LCS.

  5. A snake pony. I would actually switch back to the MLPForums Theme if there was a snake pony up there.

Add that to the poll when you make it.

Another vote for Snake Pony :)

Preferably Snake Pony chilling with Evilshy, though I can understand if you don't want to do member OCs.

Anyway, I have a Samsung... something. It's just a normal phone; I have and Itouch that I use for mobile internet and stuff. Most of the places I go have free wifi, in or very near them, so the lack of 3G isn't a big issue, usually.

Anyway, plan has unlimited texting, and the family shares more minutes than we can use in a month, so everything the phone should be able to do, it does admirably.

P.S. I have Lugia and Ho-oh phone charms :D Any of you have phone charms of the legends from the best generation of Pokemon? Didn't fucking think so.

  7. What I'm trying to say in all, is was there a feedback thread made for this asking resolution? Or did Evilshy feel as though it would be pounced upon by Section Moderators and shut down and hidden due to slander of moderators? If so, then it feels the community is feeling like they have the Gestapo on them. If there was no thread, then the process has been mucked in my opinion.

Actually, I did it in a PM for three reasons:

    1. I went to sleep while the Boatloads thread was still up, but when I woke up and realized that I had never gotten a straight answer, the thread had been locked.

    2. I didn't post it in feedback because the general community was still quite heated and divided on the subject, so I didn't want to deal with tons of other users coming in and posting their opinions because it would probably end up being Boatloads 2.0 and get locked again. I figured going straight to the source was a good way to get an answer.

    3. I was still a bit frustrated b the whole thing and wanted my goddamn answer, and I felt that a PM to the owner would get a quicker and more thorough answer than a feedback/question thread, for some of the reasons listed above.

And in case there is still any confusion, I'm okay with all of this now. Sure, there have been a lot more deletions, and quite a few things have been deleted that I would not have, but the new mods seem to have proven themselves. I don't want anybody going around thinking I hate the staff and think they're out to oppress us all ;)

Also, this is the coolest and most open-minded site administration I've ever seen :)

  8. Um... no. o.o That's who he identified himself as upon arrest, so I think it can easily be assumed that "The Dark Knight" is where he drew part of his inspiration for the shooting.

Not necessarily. Normal people don't see a violent movie and then decide to imitate the villain and shoot up a theater. I think it's pretty clear that there was something extremely mentally wrong with this guy.

I honestly doubt the movies were a major factor; in my opinion, he probably was planning to do something like this, and decided on a batman movie as a good place (for whatever reason), and then decided to be The Joker. Of course, this is my own speculation.

  9. A few of the Castlevanias a long time gametime-wise. Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow and Symphony of the Night have all gotten me to 100% them and I've replayed all of them several times.

Aria of Sorrow was definitely a contender for mine. I just started what is probably my 7th replay last night XD

Most of them have been 100.3% map runs, and 2 or 3 have been with NG+. But still, it's a fairly short game, so I'm not sure if that's enough time.

  10. No.

This thread appears to be a forum game, or something spammy of the sort. Thus, it has been sentenced to Cloudsdale Colosseum. This is an automatically generated message, by the way.

Wait, wasn't this in Cloudsdale in the first place?

  11. yeah I had that happen to me too! I WAS CONFESSING MY LOVE FOR OCTAVIA TOO BROS!!!!! :(

I was trying to outline a plot to gain mod privileges on the minecraft server, when the post limit stopped me in my tracks!

  12. How will that work when there's an automatic filter already in place? Just wondering. ;)

Cuz you can add a bunch of random open and closed tags at the end, like [ i ] [ /i ] (without spaces, obviously) to up the count.

  13. True. I can recall a time where I have said something that added to discussion in less than 100 characters, but still. What about the majority of people who make small posts that contribute nothing? I'd rather just put a little more time into each post, rather than have half of every thread filled with small replies.

Unfortunately, though, people can just say random things at the bottom of their posts to avoid the post limit. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Well, ideally, the mods will realize who is using formatting tricks or random things at the end of a post to get away with posting something concise AND relevant and not moderate them.
