Again i can see what you mean, you dont have to like Superman. I think if Superman isnt going all in all then he may have trouble, if hes pissed... even Discords gonna have a hard time with him. He did once rule in an Eldsworld story Superman Red Son/Sun where he was raised in Soviet Russia and became ruler of the Earth in like 20 years, he was still a good guy though and did a pretty good job cleaning up the world, but Celestia kept it up for longer (seeing how Superman had to lose to Lex Luthor because he was American)... yeah. God that would be terrifying sight.

While i can respect your opinion and i can see what you mean i disagree. It can be said of that of Superman 30-40 years ago but the character has changed a lot recent years, hes more of a "God that became man" type character. Hes had some great development with his character often asking if he does enough to be considered a GOD among his people. His fight with Doomsday was epic and his death was heartbreaking. But also if you want some more information check out All-Star Superman (considered the 3rd best comic of all time only behind Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen) and Superman vs the Elite DVD/Blu ray to geta better look at the moden interpretation of the character. While i get what you mean, i still feel that people have this really old school 50's mentality about the character which i feel isnt fair. Superman is known to use his brain, and i do think that the fact that hes beaten Lex Luthor and Brainiac shows how smart and resourceful he is. He just holds back way to much,

Im one of those people that believes that Superman would never harm anything that lives (probably why hes a Vegetarian... if he eats at all) Pony are nopony. But the same can be said for Celestia. Maybe we should take it were all of Equestria is ponyless (Mxyzptlk and Discord are having a bet or something on whos heroes better) and they are given all the space of the Pony world to fight, and if they lose they lose the one they love the most. I can see it being a good fight IF we take Post Crisis Superman and Fanon Celestia and give their best possible feats, Celestia could come out on top if she can figure out Supermans weakness and vice versa. Pre-Crisis Superman however... Celestias gonna have to work for that On another note who do you like Character wise best.

Ive heard fan speculation that she can move the sun, never one where it said she could completely control it. Even less where she can turn it Red.

Again is there any indication that she can even do that. Magic ill give you, but when is it shown of her turning the sun RED? Guess i missed that episode

Ive yet to see a crisis where they make Superman as powerful as hewas during the PC era. The keep it pretty consistent to make hom the same power hes always been. But then again thats the point, no making him GOD. Its more of what if they fought. There doesnt have to be a reason

Kryptonite IN CANON with DC has been stated impossilbe to duplicate.1.) Its a radioactive material from the PLANET KRYPTON 2.) It varies in radiation from dimension to dimension 3.) it has been stated that it impossible to make Kryptonite because there is one vital ingrediente that doesnt come from Earth or isnt found on the Periodic Table. So no. How would they even know about Kryptonite? Even in the DCverse it isnt well known.

Krypton and Kryptonite are 2 completely different things. Superman in no way is affected by Krypton gas AT ALL.Superman absorbed the Sun and later became a GOD later on. Check Superman Prime One Million for results Superman doesnt Age, he doesnt need to sleep, eat, or breathe. Superman can lift 200 Quintillion tons with one hand. I doubt she can run as fast as Superman, a guy who RUNS at 90,000 miles per second Yes her magic and control over the Sun does provide a problem to him and she could use that to beat him. Celestia may be a tough opponent, but Superman has faced more foes in his 70+ Years than any other Hero ever. Hes faced terrors that make Discord look like a wimp in comparison. All by himself or with a little assistance. Superman did show in a lot of Post-Crisis Stories to go at least as fast as Light in space, on ground...meh.

Well im going by the version of Superman that would last the best against Celestia. If she is as powerful as she is supposed to be. You made your case with Post Crisis Superman and yeah he would give her a good fight but she could beat him. Pre Crisis was a entirely different animal though and could potentially beat her with little effort. I dont know a good balance. All Star Superman?

The reason Superman is inconsistent is because Pre Crisis and Post Crisis Superman are not from the same earth, they are products of completely different Universes. Know while agree those are the stats of Post Crisis Superman Pre-Crisis Superman Strength: 10 in any enviroment: He was able to take full on hits from a pissed off Hulk, and the Hulk literally broke his hands while Superman just stood there. Speed: 11 in air, 9.5 on land. PC Superman had no limits to his speed while flying, he could travel through time with no effort and travel to entirely different Galaxies and back before a person could blink. Fighting: 8, he was a expert in Martial Arts and because of his ancestory had great training in boxing. Durability: 10, had survived a Super Nova even in space, though he can be weakened by other means. Intelligence: 9-10, Superman back in the day was a mega genius that even gave Batman and Lex Luthor a run for their money, he could understand any language in seconds and once caused a Super computer to explode Magic:... yeah a 0 Dont take it personally, i know one guy that thought Kryptonite was created by Lex Luthor. At least you admit your mistake Also a guy who bathed in teh Sun and came out a Fiery Demon. Oh and knocked people so hard he split the moon in half. Give him some credit

0_o Kryptonite is a radioactive material from his home planet, it only affects him because it causes strange effects on Kryptonians because it tuned to their specific body type and specfic allegory to Radiation. It has never been nor ever will be Magic. AT ALL.

That was Post Crisis Superman and New 52 and at the time he wasnt at his most powerful. Im no denying she has some advantages over him and could give him a good fight, but lets be fair here in not use the versions of Superman that barely have any knowledge of their powers m'kay. Though he has had trouble with Magic foes before he has proven that he can beat them and has had the know how to avoid them, plus Supermans foes that use Magic usely are highly experienced GODS. Especially against Mxyzptlk, a being who would make Discord look extremely weak in comparison in terms of Reality Warping. Magic does not weaken him, hes just vunerable to its effect like ALL living creatures. Doesnt mean its his next Kryptonite.

Are you implying that Batman is a easy foe to beat? Batman (with prep time) would destroy all of Equestria just by saying "Im Batman" causing every single ponies head to explode. Are you talking about Rainbow Dash or Celestia. Superman would destroy in speed and strength Rainbow Dash as a Baby let alone as an adult Thats why i use the terms, Pre and Post Crisis Superman to differentiate. Im allowing both if you want. Superman could have problems with the shield, but how would she even know about Kryptonite? Im supriesed noone has brought up other aspects of this Celestia has control over the sun, Superman gets powers from it. Maybe she could use that against him Also in comparing TK to His strength, Celestia can move a Sun with zero to no effort, but Pre-Crisis Superman could also do the same

Magic has never been his next Kryptonite, hes always been sorta weak to it and it can hurt him but its not like it weakens him or anything. Hes fought mystical God like characters before like Captain Marve;, Black adam, and even Thor and hes managed to beat them despite them being able to damage him. Ill give that Celestia could hurt him but its not gonna be easy seeing how fast and strong he is. If hes bloodlusted that is. You dont believe Supermans OP, Check out Pre-Crisis Superman. Seeing how im kind of new to this site i was looking up some stupid crap on other forums and saw this like over 100 times, they said however if i really wanted to do something like this i should go to the Mlp forums and see what they see, so yeah.
