  1. I dunno.  I think it is too early to tell.  For all we know G5 could turn out to be both a critical and financial success.  Right now I think it would be best to wait until we know more about it before discussing things like this.

  2. Prior to Rollercoaster of Friendship, I didn't really care much for the pair.  They just never had any episodes together that I actually liked.  However after Rollercoaster of Friendship, I started liking it a bit more.  I still don't really care much for the pair in the main show, but I do ship their EQG counterparts as I feel like that is where they have a much more friendly dynamic.  It only took the very real possibility that they might actually become a canon couple for me to get one board with Rarijack or at least a version of it. (Like I generally wouldn't be surprised if EQG pulls a Korra/Adventure Time and have Rarity and Applejack hook up in the finale.)

  3. No.  It would feel rushed given that we haven't really had a lot of episodes focusing on their relationship.  In fact there has only been two episodes about their relationship, and the first one was about getting Big Mac and Sugar Belle to become a couple in the first place.  Plus given the little we have seen of them together, I really don't feel like they are at the wedding stage of a relationship yet.

  4. I am happy to see that we got another Celestia and Luna episode in the show, as this is something we don't get to see too often.  I was pretty happy when we got one in A Royal Problem back in season 7 which I definitely enjoyed and thought was a pretty good episode.  So when I first read the synopsis for this one, I was definitely looking forward to seeing it.

With all of that said, I thought Between Dark and Dawn was a great episode.  Definitely one of the highlights of the season.

This was a really funny episode with a lot of great lines.  Some of my favorites were " All the times we've actually needed their help, and they show up for this?", and "Or maybe this week's just a one-time thing that'll never happen again."

We got a new song, which I always appreciate, and we got some more character development and fun interactions between Celestia and Luna.

I really liked this episode a lot.

  5. I have been really enjoying it so far.  I feel that it has been pretty solid with not a single episode being one that I disliked, and I definitely look forward to seeing the rest of it.

  6. Yeah this is a really good trailer.  Infinity Train from its very beginning has always looked rather promising, and with everything we have seen from it after it was announced to become a full fledged series has added to that.  I am definitely looking forward to seeing its premiere later this year, and this trailer did a really good job at getting me to feel this way.

  7. As someone who has enjoyed all of the EQG 44 minute specials, I am always excited when a new one gets announced, and this is no exception.  Also given what I have heard about the book, there is a certain something that I am looking forward to seeing here.  Also I just like the concept of Sunset going through a whole Groundhog Day scenario.  So yeah, I am looking forward to seeing this special.

  8. Okay this was another episode in particular that I was looking forward to.  Due to it its early airing in other countries, I ended up getting a bit spoiled on what happens here.  Or who in particular debuts in this episode.  As a result of this, I was definitely interested in seeing The Last Crusade.

With all of that in mind, I thought that this episode was great.

We finally got to see Scootaloo's parents which is something that we have being dying to know for years now, and they are fun new characters.  We also got to meet her lesbian aunts Holiday and Lofty who are cute, and I am happy to see that FiM has LGBT rep in it.  And I really liked how this episode celebrated the CMC and what they have accomplished over the course of the series.

  9. This was pretty cute.  While I do agree that having many episodes about how Rarity and Applejack hanging out involves how different there personalities are, I feel that this short works for me in a way that their episodes in FiM don't.  That being this feels much lighter and less combative.  When it comes to their episodes in FiM such as Look Before You Sleep, it generally doesn't feel like they like each other very much.  But here, while they have their disagreements and Applejack gets annoyed at Rarity, I still get a sense that they like spending time with one another.  This is why I have to say that I enjoy the dynamic the two have in the Equestria Girls franchise more than the dynamic the two have in Friendship Is Magic, and why that despite not liking any of the Rarity and Applejack team up episodes in the FiM, I actually liked this short.

  10. The Cutie Re-Mark: Literally any crime is forgivable no matter how awful, as long as you provide a "tragic" sob story.

Every Little Thing She Does: Continuing to make the same mistakes over and over again is perfectly acceptable behavior.  Also you don't have to work at all in order to gain forgiveness from the people you hurt in the first place.

  11. I thought that this was a good episode.  I feel like that Starlight becoming the school's counselor was a a decision that helped her character, and I enjoy seeing her in that role.  I also found the conflict she faced over balancing work and personal life to be engaging.  I also found Trixie having none of it to be pretty amusing at times. also I really like the friendship between her and Starlight as I feel that it is a pretty entertaining character dynamic that I always enjoy watching.  I also liked how everyone was having none of Mudbriar in this episode.  That was definitely funny.  Also Maud got some pretty great lines here.

    Overall, I enjoyed Student Counsel.

  12. I was a bit surprised when it first came out, as I feel like it just sprung out of nowhere, but I ended up really liking it a lot.  I see tons of potential with this show just from the first two episodes.  The art style is cute and appealing, and their is a lot of fun action going on here to keep my attention.  I also find the main characters to all be enjoyable and engaging.  I plan on watching the rest of the show when it comes out.

  13. Yeah, I'm not really feeling this very much.   For one, I don't really think Spongebob is a show that would lend itself very well to spin-offs in the first place.  I also don't really see what this has to offer that the original show doesn't.  If there absolutely had to be a Spongebob spin-off, I would have them rather made a cartoon about the adventures of younger Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy.  At least then it could be an action comedy and offer something you couldn't get from watching the main show instead.

  14. This was one of the multiple shorts that were released early on the Discovery Family app, and I had been waiting a while to see it, especially given that I heard good things about it.   When I first saw it, I had to agree that it is a pretty solid music video.  I really enjoyed the animation in the video and how it was used to conveyed Rainbow Dash moving faster than everyone else as I found it really cool to see her moving normally while everyone else was in slow motion.  The song itself I found to be pretty catchy, and I actually thought it flowed pretty nicely.  Run to Break Free has a lot of style, and I would even go as far as to say it is one of my favorite EQG songs.

  15. To be honest, this was an episode that I wasn't all that excited for.  It didn't sound bad or anything, but it just looked like it was going to be your regular run of the mill Apple family episode.

After watching Going to Seed, I found that it was a cute episode

Sleepy Big Mac was adorable, I also liked how he was like just done with shenanigans the entire episode, and it was sweet seeing Apple Bloom and Applejack having fun together trying to catch the great seedling.  But what I liked most about the episode was how Applejack was portrayed.  I got a real vibe of her whole having to grow up at a young age here, which is the aspect of her character that I find to be rather interesting, and I really enjoyed being portrayed here.  Definitely a pretty good episode in my book.

  16. So far I am interested in seeing in this movie.  For starters it is always nice to get a Pixar movie that isn't a sequel nowadays.  Plus I just really like Urban Fantasy, and this looks like it might be up my alley.  Plus the premise of the two brothers going on a quest to see if there is still magic left in order to get to meet their dad who died when they were younger, sounds really promising.  Overall, I feel that this movie has potential, and I hope that it turns out well.

  17. Given that meeting Spike was what helped Fluttershy open up in the first episode of the entire show, it is a bit weird how little they have interacted throughout the course of the series.  Because of this, I have been wanting to see an episode focusing on the two of them for a while now.  So when I read the episode's synopsis for the first time I was definitely interested in checking it out.

After watching the episode, I can say that I found Sweet and Smoky to be an enjoyable episode

This episode made me realize that I rather like Smolder and Spike's friendship, Fluttershy and Ember made for a surprisingly fun combo, and while I was initially skeptical of the idea of reforming Garble, I thought it was done decently here, and Fluttershy was really great here.

Overall this was a pretty good episode.

  18. I wouldn't  really like it, to be honest.  It would feel way too out of place, given the type of show MLP FIM is.  My main reaction would be that of confusion, as I wouldn't believe that a show like FIM would have swearing in it at all.
