  1. What if I am the first person to post last? Does the last person person to post first win or the first person to post last? Or the last person to post tomorrow? Or tomorrow's yesterday?

  2. Some games I have gotten since my last post:

    • Modern Warfare 3 (Xbox 360/Xbox One) - As a note, this game sucks ass. The Infected mode is still fun but the game itself is just another shitty COD game. It is also hacked like crazy on the 360. The richest publisher in the world can't even bother making their own games hackproof. Activision is satan.
    • Lumines Remastered (Xbox One)
    • Marvel Ultimate Alliance Bundle (Xbox One) - I did just say that Activision is Satan, which is true, but this bundle was on sale for $15, so $7.50 for each game and I have never owned or played either, so I guess that is a decent deal. This bundle normally is $60 and to that I always said: No.
    • Grand Theft Auto III (PC)
    • Grand theft Auto Vice City (PC)
    • Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum (PC)
    • Age of Empires 2 HD (PC)
    • Turbo Dismount (PC)

That's it for now. Actually bought PC games for once. Mostly old ones but still good.

  3. Bit of a strange question here, but I am curious if anyone of you have a similar dealio with some games. There are games you may like or even love, but for whatever reason you still think it may not deserve its popularity or extremely high praise, if it has those. Are there any games like that for you and if so, why?

For me, a BIG one is the original Dark Souls. Simply put, I actually love the game. I love its combat, I love its lore, music, most bosses, that sort of thing. However, I do think the game gets just a little too much praise at times, to the point where people just flat-out ignore its flaws. One huge flaw the game sometimes has is in its enemy design. In some areas of the game, there are enemies that can kill you in one combo or two hits or so, when some bosses cannot even do that at the same level. The Tomb of the Giants, one of the most poorly designed areas of the game in my book, has these four legged skeleton enemies that do so much damage that it is ridiculous. Their standard attacks do an insane amount of damage, but they sometimes stand up and lunge down and that attack, it seems no matter what level you are or your defense, that WILL kill you no matter what. I can hardly think of any bosses that can do something like that and it makes me feel that the design was botched here, especially the boss of this area, Gravelord Nito, is a joke. He doesn't do ANYTHING that can kill you in one hit, so having those skeleton enemies, a STANDARD ENEMY do an attack like that is idiotic. Same goes for enemies like the titanite demons, which sometimes are put in poor locations making them harder to fight than some bosses. Let's also not forget the Bed of Chaos, which is one of the most pathetic 'boss fights' I have ever seen in ANY game, let alone it being the worst in this series.

Because of that I think the game doesn't quite deserve the praise it gets from some, as some talk about Dark Souls 1 as the apogee of game design. It really isn't. It is a great game, but not THAT great.

  4. To me, the show was hardly ever decent after its first few seasons, where it actually felt like it had a soul and humor that wasn't just entirely disconnected scenes. It is nuts how different the show was when it first started. It was so much better then. South Park has suffered the same sort of fate where it had its own style originally, but then only relied on trends and happenings in the real world to produce its 'humor'. Both of these shows should have ended a long time ago in my book.

Outside? It is hot and there are bugs everywhere. Nope, so much nope. You know how hot it is today? It is even hot in New England. I'm going to stay inside with the air conditioner blasting. Hopefully loud enough to keep my dog from having to hear the illegal fireworks being shot off outside. >.>

My situation exactly. Here in Indiana it is 95 degrees, with a feel of over 100. Terrible and not worth going out in. My dad was wondering if I wanted to go to see fireworks, but I don't find it worth it to go out in such awful weather just to watch things go boom.

We were not the only nation to slaughter natives, or enslave others.

The point is to not focus on the past, but to work toward the future. Having problems now doesn't mean we can't celebrate what we've accomplished. I mean we've achieved a lot in our country's short existence. This is one of the few days where we're supposed to stop worrying about future problems and for a day just enjoy what we've accomplished.

I don't see how having fourth of July is acting like we're the only ones who have ever done great things. A lot of countries have days to celebrate their founding. Germany has a holiday for virtually every accomplishment its ever done lol.

This is the time to think about the good, not the bad.

That's the thing and this will be my last comment on this in this thread, right now things are tad fucked. That's my main problem. There isn't a whole lot of good to look at right now and the good stuff that there is, it isn't worth dedicating a holiday to ourselves for. If anything it should be a celebration of concepts, not some country doing things that other countries have ddne and done better. That's my two cents. Pay no mind to me, I am a peasant expressing his entirely worthless two cents.

We achieved our independence because of the sacrifices of brave men who many of which were younger than us. They died for what they believed in so that we may reap the rewards. This day honors them and all we set out to do with this land. It's a day to celebrate what we have accomplished and how far we've come and to honor those who lost their lives so that we may do that.

While being hypocrites and slaughtering natives and enslaving blacks. Got it. Not to mention all of the many problems we now face, making all of that sacrifice seem a tad in vain. I don't mind people celebrating it, even if I hate the holiday, but I don't like this country pretending like it is the only one to ever do great things.

  8. I am just going to say that I hate this holiday and find it not worth celebrating anymore. If it ever was.

Celebrate for the brave people who gave their lives for our freedom.

Isn't that memorial day though? I thought July 4th was simply celebrating our indepence or whatever. Though from my record, this day isn't exactly that anyways. More like the day for arrogant American flaunting, but that's just my pointless opinion.

  9. Been feeling so mediocre this week. Haven't slept well and my mental state hasn't been great. Too much depression and other things. I hope this next week will be different. I dd get me check on Tuesday so I will try to look forward to that.

  10. Very highly introverted. People in general tend to scare me, so I avoid confrontation of any kind most of the time. If someone is friendly to me I do highly appreciate that though and I thank them for it. I just have trouble directly communicating and I instinctively avoid eye contact. With all of this, I tend to stay in my room most of the time. I am always afraid I will come off  as weird or something to others.

  11. Used to struggle with it, but these days it is hardly an issue. Kinda weird too considering how much I struggle with anxiety. One owuld think my face would be a battleground, but nope. That or my face is so ugly that nothing dares invade it. :P

  12. From what the episode portrayed, Fluttershy was on the constant strive to find the cure that she weakened herself and thus made herself far more likely to be infected. Twilight kept herself rested and didn't worry all the time about it, though no one can blame Flutters for worrying so much, given the circumstances. Constant anxiety and lack of rest can have some rather draining effects on your body and immune system.

  13. Finally watched It Comes At Night. What a horrifically grim movie. The trailers are dumb and I recommend avoiding them because there are scenes they show that are not in proper context. The film itself is fantastic. Extremely tense with great acting, awesome shots and a soundtrack that truly fuels the atmosphere. I recommend it.

  14. Difficult choice this one. I think I will go with one not on the list and say Long John Silver's. They have amazing chicken strips and fries. :3 McDonald's might be my second favorite. Despite what people say, I love their fries and mcnuggets.

  16. People don't care now because there are no immediate effects, which that's not what we expected anyways. This opens the floodgates though. If people think these giant corporations will not take any further opportunities to squeeze more money from us, well, I don't know what to say to them. They will always want more money and they will destroy our experiences to get it if the law allows them to. Companies are always looking for ways to cut corners to maximize profits. Kinda like Activision. The public will continue to exist in ignorant bliss until this finally affects them and they wake up. That is how things go in this country. Nothing is done until it is too late.
