Nice. Have you learned how to solve differential equations by laplace transformations or series expansions yet? I have a book about it with those things in it, I've looked at it but I don't understand it yet. I'll probably understand it better by the time I finish calc 3 my first semester of college - taking AP Calculus AB (calc 1) right now, so I'd take AP Calculus BC (calc 2) in 12th grade.

Right now, the focus is on higher-order linear ODEs. Series expansion is definitely something that we've been doing. In most cases, Laplace methods are covered more in upper-division courses.

Ah, that's cool. I'm looking forward to learning about differential equations later on in my class - they seem like an interesting subject. Unfortunately we'll probably only be taught the very basics, but hey, you have to start somewhere.
