  1. The title itself didn't make me freak shit, but the episode description for the second part did. Its one thing to turn one character into a princess... I'm hoping that doesn't end up a permanent change, or else they are screwing the other princesses in the worst imaginable way. And i think people aren't freaking out yet because its still pretty early. It could also be that people have already decided to accept it, are avoiding spoilers, don't look further into the implications of things, or simply don't care. Personally, my views towards Princess Twily never really improved after her coronation. She's already forever ruined in my eyes, so why should I care if it gets any worse? I've already moved on and given up caring about anything to do with her. The writers have made it quite clear that Twily will basically become pony Jesus, and everyone will praise and love her. She will eventually be more powerful than celestia, and rule over equestria.
  2. Friendship is Magic Part 2. Way before I even heard about my little pony, probably around the same time it had premiered, I was just bored and flipping through the channels on tv. That episode happened to be playing and I watched it. It hardly left an impression on me at the time, although I do remember rooting more for Nightmare Moon than the mane 6 because she was a badass looking villain.
  3. The thing that stuck out to me more was not actually the wheelchair, but the pony's color scheme. Black and purple hair.... I knew almost immediately that it was an OC, but i didn't know whose it was. That's neat that it was a kid's OC from the make-a-wish foundation! It also seems that a pony without working back legs wouldn't actually be as bad off as a human without working legs. People only have two legs, meaning if those are gone there's no other legs to power our mobility. Our arms aren't really built for pulling body weight in most cases. A pony can still use his/her front legs to walk and steer, and the wheels make it so that the back end is fully supported and the back legs follow the front legs with minimal drag. Anyway, I don't have any point to make with this. It's just an observation.
  4. I love swearing, although I only do it when its an appropriate reaction to a situation (or if i want to use a curse to enhance a story/point) Curse words have this great cathartic release, and can make things either funnier or more intense. I think there's been a couple times where a curse word accidentally slipped in class, but I've never had a teacher actually call me out on it. Cursing is one of the things i actually listed on the "Things that should be socially acceptable" topic. IMO People are too easily offended by words, words by themselves are a dumb thing to be offended by.
  5. Catholic here, Happy Easter yall Can't wait to smash some confetti eggs on people, lol
  6. I thought it was a cute episode :3 I don't have much to say, other than "lol discord lamp"
  7. I really have no excuse for myself, I just go to bed at 3-4 because I like the late night and don't feel sleepy before that time. Then I usually have school between 9-10 am and I can hardly stay awake. If I sleep in too long on the weekend my mom gets mad at me.
  8. Narwhals are sea unicorns! And rhinos are earth unicorns. So sure, why not =D
  9. In class. Not because it's an unlikely place, but because bad things happen when you sleep in class. My teacher once had no one wake me up at the end of class, and I was almost late for an out of town band trip. They were all boarding the bus and calling names out. Another time I slept in health class, and when I woke up I panicked and quickly stood up without realizing my leg was completely numb from sleeping on it weirdly...my leg didn't support me and I ended up falling. It was embarassing but the only person in the room was my teacher.
  10. -cursing -having reverse sleep patterns i.e sleeping until 3 (Without being accused of laziness) -going #2 in public restrooms (people used to glare at me for this when I was little)
  11. My god, MLP doesn't own the whole channel, guys. There's other shows on the hub, and think about all the marathons MLP has gotten while other shows (like dan vs) got placed in awkward time slots.
  12. There's two deer shown in the episode Filli Vanili because fluttershy is trying to find the all animals homes or something. The deer look adorable but they don't seem to show any higher intelligence. At the very end of fluttershy's first song as flutterguy, a crowd of ponies runs and takes all the animals, including the deer. So i guess deer are like pets in the MLP universe...
  13. The trololo guy Heath Ledger. Ernest Borgnine (aka VA of mermaid man) And Steve Irwin was probably the saddest one for me, cause he was my childhood hero </3 I feel like I'm missing one more name.
  14. I don't know how they would've set up RD singing in big mac's place :/ If you replaced Big Mac with a female singer within RD's range, it still wouldn't make sense because she would technically have no reason to sing in the background. There would've been no awesome continuity nod to flutter guy and the moral would've made no sense. I think the episode was written with Fluttershy in mind.
  15. I think they could pull it off at least with sound effects or music. But I really see no purpose in it. Not like it would be the first show to do that.
  16. Yeah, this is something that greatly confuses me. We see cows are capable of speech but in an odd societal role. Deer evidently are just animals. Ponies are the master race, zebras are rare but equal intelligence. Buffalo are equal intelligence, and goats are pretty stupid, don't speak but have some intelligence. Donkeys are intelligent but somewhat rare. My theory is that it's based on how "large" the animal is, but ponies somehow became the dominant species.
  17. Because he's not a major character. I love Big Mac but can't really see an episode being centered around him. And it wouldn't be fair to give him his own episode when few or none of the other secondary characters are getting episodes.
  18. Her personality has BEEN changing, hasn't anyone even noticed? Compare current Twilight to past Twilight. She used to be really snarky, had more of a temper, was more often the butt of physical comedy, and was less "preachy" and goody two shoes. Nowadays, she's a lot more like celestia if celestia was a nerd. I miss old Twilight, I always thought she was hilarious. In this current season, she's made me laugh maybe twice at most? She's become bland, and lost her most charming characteristics, IMO. In short, I see no end to her current trend, and in no time she'll be just like celestia.
  19. Aw come on, rainbow power looks awesome! (If not an obvious toy selling mechanism) :3 I'm definitely more troubled about part 2 of the finale though.
  20. I don't care how many episodes the CMC are in, just as long as the episodes are good.I also think its a bit unfair to deny the "intended audience" their link to the characters. Seriously, the show was written originally with girls in mind and I sometimes hate that we basically hi-jacked the show for ourselves and expect the episodes appeal to our tastes. Edit: I second what Jeric said. The cutie mark crusaders work best when paired with an adult or especially one of the main 6. After all, if one of the mane 6 co-star an episode with a CMC they really aren't taking away anything from the episode.
  21. Please be smooze, please be smooze.... NOTHING CAN STOP THE SMOOZE
  22. Eh, no. It didn't "clear things up" because that was entirely subjective. I understand what Luna's been through, i watched the first episode too you know. You're saying Luna is blameless because she was suffering? I freakin love Luna (she's best princess!), but let's be honest, she was in the wrong too. Do you know what she could have done? She could've talked to her sister about her issues. We all have a choice, and there could've been a peaceful solution to her problem. But she allowed her emotions to fester inside her and I don't think she even tried to seek another alternative. Her heart sought vengeance and she turned into Nightmare Moon. Celestia should've noticed and done something to help her sister, and where she went wrong is that she didn't see the signs or ignored them. Luna's actions was clearly being driven by external dark forces though, like a normally peaceful dog being driven mad by rabies. So she really isn't the object of blame. And i love that she's sort of become this guardian angel of wisdom and guidance for the she sleeping ponies of equestria. I think its a perfect role for her. So don't get me wrong, I'm not "judging" her so much as analyzing her and reasons why she's such a sympathetic character to so many people.
  23. I think OP is missing the point. Luna is not sympathetic because her actions as nightmare moon were justifiable, she's sympathetic because of her guilt and regret about it. She was corrupted into something she wasn't and became a monster. For 1000 years she was imprisoned in the moon because of the darkness that corrupted her. When she finally returned to her senses, she clearly felt remorse about what she had done. After being reunited with her sister, she's unable to adjust to a society 1000 years in the future and felt isolated. Her "fall from grace" can be seen as a bit tragic, and people are always sympathetic to tragic characters. I actually think her reasons for becoming nightmare moon are somewhat justifiable but still wrong. Its understandable why she felt angry, but you're right that her actions were selfish.
  24. I think the MLP equivalent to a solar eclipse would involve Celestia planting her big fat 'lestia butt on her sisters face, thus smothering her (and the moon) in the process. Could hypothetically work in reverse as a lunar eclipse. Also, i know one of you smug nerds are gonna be like "HURR DUR THATS NOT HOW ECLIPSES WORK." <insert science here> And i don't care, quit pooping on my party
