Oh wow, it's pumpkin carving season!  And I really like this one.    Super job there. 

 

It reminds me a bit of a forum banner we had last year which was a picture of a Twilight Sparkle pumpkin carving.

Wow! That is really awesome! I might use the idea and make a Vinyl Scratch pumpkin.

That looks really great! I can't wait to carve a few pumpkins myself but I'm not as good xD I still do the usual "Nightmare Before Christmas" carving face.

I love it!  i think the skin is bright enough the mane would be nice bright though. Not like i can talk though i'm rubbish at carving pumpkins. 

Maybe you don't have the right technique. Did you check tips and tricks?

I was thinking of doing the elements of harmony though I suppose I'd be spending the majority of my pumpkin budget on that. I'm nowhere near as good as you, though. I haven't gotten the hang of shaving it for the extra detail. Amazing work!

I think the winner last year was double faced carving, with Derpy's face on one side and Derpy's butt on the other, which is pretty hilarious if you ask me

Whoa, that is what I call a long link...

Anyways... That what I used. Though, it's personal preferences. It's because, since it's used for stones, it doesn't lose it's sharpness on a silly pumpkin Anything similar will work.

Also, I used carbon paper to transfer what you want to draw.

I fixed it behind a black outlined picture of Fluttershy I printed on a white sheet.

And preferably, a pumpkin.

And LOTS of patience is also recommended ^.^

Just carve the brightest parts first.

And remember, the more you dig in the fruit, the more bright it will be 

I would also recommend to try your tools a little bit on the back, like I did, to see how the spoken tools feels

So yeah!

It doesn't seems like it, but Pumpkins carving takes a looong time, because, there's no ''undo button", which isn't is the case with Photoshop.

On the other hand, I bought a second one, in case I screw everything on the first one, which surprisely wasn't the case. So I may consider doing a second one... maybe... 

I probably should have made the skin a little brighter though, personal opinion 

It does look quite badass. What software did you use? The brushed effect looks like a digital painting whereas the lines are very smooth like a vector. Really great work.

I'm using Adobe Photoshop C6, which is what most artists uses this day. It's a very flexible program.

Hey don't say that! You can draw, you just need practice. I mean seriously, about 6 months ago, I never touched a pencil. For drawings I mean. And now I can do picture that are pretty cool, so yeah! Practice is the key

One thing I would like to point out is the shading, which seems to be lacking.

But seriously, it's kinda weird shading on pure white (Surprise) hehe.

I told you the price but now the brand. It's an Alesis, model Dm8, but it doesn't come with a double bass. I took it from my acoustic drum set ^.^

First off: the drums. You did a fantastic job with this part, and the fact that it was made from scratch is amazing. Great job here.

 

The piano was really good too, and I understand what you mean when you say it's hard to learn; I have a lot of trouble with piano too. But it looks like you ending up mastering that part, and it sounds wonderful.

 

As for the vocals; eh, it was a bit hard to hear over the rest. In the future, try making the vocals a bit louder so we can hear you better. You sounded good from what I could hear, but it was still hard to hear.

This was really good! Loved the percussion, and the piano was amazing as well! As I see you've been told many times, the mic needs to be louder, but I'm gonna skip over that part 'cause I think you're probably tired of hearing it. Seriously though, the instruments were really well played, and the syncing was masterfully done. Great job!!!

Yeah, it definitively needs to be louder. At the first place I tried to drown my voice under the drum/piano to sounds more like in harmony with the other characters, but setting it up as a main instrument as well would have been a better choice. 

But yeah, you learn from your mistakes!

Well.... it was  ALLSOME  you put drum in some good use. And the Piano play was great work on it but the vocal was, you know and lost of people all ready tell you.
