Lyra Heartstring

Lyra Heartstrings is a background pony but become one of the well-known background characters. As a filly, she was one of Twilight's childhood friend when Twilight was in Canterlot. Among the others; Lemon Hearts, Minuette, Twinkleshine, and Moon Dancer. Lyra then met Sweetie Drops (bon bon) in Poniville and they become very close friends. In "slice of life" she made her first major screen time aside from being a background character. When she found out about Sweetie Drops working as a secret agent for S.M.I.L.E. she felt discouraged thinking that their friendship was all a lie. Sweetie Drops assures her that their friendship was real. Towards the end, Lyra accepted Sweetie Drops role as a secret agent and the two made up as Lyra helped her clean up the mess after the Bugbear incident. In the book, "Lyra and Bon Bon and the mares from S.M.I.L.E", Lyra joined up with Sweetie Drops and become S.M.I.L.E secret agent. Like Derpy, Lyra appeared in almost every episode throughout the season in the background. Later in the future, Lyra and Sweetie Drops got engaged in the "Big Mac question" and got married in "The last problem". 

Based on her last name, "heartstrings" is often referred to the feeling of love, deep feeling, and sympathy. Lyra displayed this when she understands how hard it is for Sweetie Drops to keep secrets from her best friend because of her job. Thus she accepted Sweetie Drops who she is as a secret agent. Lyra have a very optimistic and energetic personality. She also have a curious and adventurous side when she was willing to go with Sweetie Drops on her mission to track down the Bugbear in "Slice of life". Lyra does sometimes get overly dramatic like the time when she thinks Sweetie drops were using their friendship to track down Bugbear. But despite that, Lyra shows deep and affectionate care for Sweetie Drops and will do anything for her. 

Lyra is a unicorn with a very light aquamarine coat and a pale, light grayish cyan with a white highlight mane. Her mane styled are similar to Rose Luck and her tail are the same as Royal Ribbon. She have a Brilliant gamboge eye colored and her magic aura color is brilliant gold.

• She was one of the bridesmaids for Princess Candance's and Shining armor's wedding.
• In the "Equestria game" she was one of the guards at the front door, disabling magic from any attempt in cheating during the game.
• In "Slice of Life" she made her first major screen time.
• Joined the S.M.I.L.E with Sweetie Drops in "Lyra and Bon Bon and the mares from S.M.I.L.E " book.
• Lyra's deepest and darkest secret is that she once ate all Sweetie Drops imported oats.
• She is one of the crowds of ponies that got brainwashed by King Sombra.
• In the "Big Mac question" She asked Sweetie Drops to marry her, shown in the background.
• In the "The last Problem" it was confirmed the two got married.
