Cherry Bomb has a lively personality, being a very peppy pony she is always the one wanting to keep the spirits up of other ponies...in rare cases even by any means necessary.
Cherry finds it rather difficult to hide her emotions as she tends to be very excitable, having a tendency to overreact regardless of what mood she is in, she doesn't however like being sad, angry or any other form of negative emotion and won't want to stay as such for long either, usually finding something to do to cheer herself up.
Due to an incident as a filly, Cherry cannot handle negative comments very well and has previously left her having nervous breakdowns, as a result Cherry worries about what others think of her to the point where it becomes an anxiety issue in rare cases.
Cherry's talent involves the ability to make most ponies happy or laugh by any means at her disposal, even if it means acting like a real clown in front of them, however in some cases she would achieve this at the expense of others, i.e. playing a prank on a particular pony in front of a group which in turn would embarrass said pony.
Unless the pony has a good sence of humour and is capable of "taking jokes", this usually ends up being the "bane" of Cherry which ends up getting her into trouble.
Cherry is the eldest of two twin sisters that grew up in the bustling streets of Manehatten and for the most part things were adequate enough for her, in fact if asked Cherry would say that the only thing she didn't like about foalhood was her workaholic mother.
Logic worked as an Executive procurement manager, a Job which Cherry, even to this day, has no idea what that actually is, the only thing she knows for sure about her mothers job is that it takes up a lot of her time, and leaving little time for them to spend together.
The few moments in the day they did spend together with her mother and sister Cherry tried to fit in as much activity as she could, usually talking about or visually showing what she did at school or with her friends, wanting to fit so much into a small amount of time eventually caused the red mare to develop a habit of talking exceedingly fast for long periods of time in a single breath, although knowing how "eccentric" her daughter can be, she didn't take much notice to this.
Cherry's school friends thought her new developed habit to be quite humorous, a feeling she took quite a liking too.
Her fondness for making her friends laugh encouraged her to try different methods of achieving this, from telling jokes, silly dances and playing playful pranks, eventually this plan did work as she was known through-out the school as the "Prankster Princess", however her antics did get her in trouble numerous times with her teachers, though they were never more than a simple telling off though as they were only minor pranks...for the moment.
Cherry finally overstepped these boundaries during a school assembly, with a hall full of little fillies and foals, Cherry took it upon herself to perform her biggest prank yet, by sneaking up and flinging a cream custard pie she had stolen from the cafeteria...right...into...the...muzzle...of the school head mistress, Miss Chalk......the hall erupted into hysterics and coincidentally, this is how Cherry managed to earn her cutie mark.
Despite this achievement, Cherry was too pre-occupied worrying about being in the biggest trouble ever for what she did, and from the looks on the faces of her teachers she thought she had assumed right, that was until Miss Chalk addressed Cherry herself and to the little Fillies surprise, she wasn't angry, simply giving a smirk despite having her face covered in custard pie.
In the Headmistress Office, Miss Chalk had Cherry's mother to visit the school, at first to her annoyance thinking Cherry had, once again gotten herself in trouble, but to her shock found Cherry had in fact earned her cutie-mark, which did shock Cherry as well as the headmistress pointed it out to her.
Miss Chalk wanted to discuss how to make use of Cherry's new found talent, suggesting an acting career of sorts within Manehatten's various theaters as a comedy performer stating that performers had to start at some point in their lifetime, the earlier the better.
Cherry's eye's lit up as the idea but her mother was hesitant, of course she was happy for her daughter but wasn't sure if Cherry should start a career at such a young age, eventually Miss Chalk managed to convince Cherry's mother as she elaborated that they would treat this as an after school activity of sorts, where Cherry would learn how to be a performer for a few hours after school.
As the years went by Cherry went from attending these after school activities as a filly to taking a job as a performer as young mare, still as lively as ever.
Now-a-days though, Cherry decided it was time to share her talent with the rest of Equestria.
Cherry was never in form of bad terms with her mother, she never blamed her for not getting to spend enough time with her mother despite her best efforts to do so when she was younger, she only regrets not being able to fit in more.
When Cherry left Manehattan to pursue her career she never forgot about her mother and sister and still visits occasionally whenever she gets the chance or needs to take a much needed break, and when shes does her mother would listen intently as Cherry would tell her everything she did, usually in less than half a day.
