Fudge Cookie

    Fudge Cookie is a chubby colt with most of his weight situated in his midsection. He has a light sapphire coat with dark blue freckles on his face and brown eyes. He has a medium-brown mane with a cream-colored streak in the middle along with a matching tail with two cream streaks. He wears no clothing.

    Fudge Cookie is an easy-going colt who gets nervous around meeting new ponies but warms up once he gets to know them. Though diligent, he often tends to overthink things and does not know when to draw the line. Fudge can get jealous of other ponies his age but he usually tries his best to hide his green-eyed monster tendencies. He isn't sensitive about his weight but he is self-conscious about discovering his talent, not helped by being pressured by his father into doing so.

    Though he scares easily, Fudge is not a complete coward. He will face his fears when standing up for what he thinks is right, no matter the cost. He can't stand being reminded that he is the younger twin and his sister Sundae Shake's terms such as "little brother" and "baby brother" don't help. However, he still loves Sundae with all his heart and tries his best to be protective of her. Whenever he and Sundae encounter a problem, they always try to resolve it together.

    Likes: He hates ghosts and dentists which happen to be two worst fears. While he does good at school, math is his least favorite subject.

    Fudge Cookie was born in an outer borough of Manehattan to parents Refund Check, an accountant and Ruby Shears, a beauty salon owner. He was the second-born in a set of twins, the other being his sister Sundae Shake and the smaller of the two at birth. As Fudge grew up, his sweet tooth kicked in, and he has been overweight ever since he was a toddler. When Fudge was still at the age of thinking monsters were hiding under his bed, his parents quelled that by buying him a pet boa constrictor whom he called Squiggly. Fudge regularly cares for Squiggly and even uses him to scare off bullies at school whether they go after Sundae or him.

    Fudge's two worst fears developed early in is foalhood. The first time Fudge could remember going to the dentist, he remembered being told how his favorite foods were bad for his teeth but his then-innocent mind could not understand why. When his dentist explained to him how a drill worked, Fudge resolved to take better care of his teeth and has always dreaded going back. Fudge acquired his phasmophobia when he read about Daring Do becoming trapped in a haunted house. It was the only book Fudge couldn't finish as ghosts have given him the creeps ever since.

    Refund Check hopes that Fudge would someday get an accounting-related cutie mark so he can become a part of his family business. Ruby Shears, however, thinks Fudge is being pushed too far into discovering his talent and she often clashes with her husband on their best interests. As a result, Fudge became closer to his mother since she often has to protect her son on her behalf. The divisiveness of his parents on this has led him into searching for his cutie mark more diligently than Sundae and he sometimes coaches her into doing the same. In spite of it all, Fudge still loves his dad, aiming to please him in any possible and hopes he'll be proud of him when destiny calls.

    Fudge, like other foals his age who haven't gotten their cutie marks, is afraid of getting teased at school or in his neighborhood for not having one. To avoid getting targeted, he often hangs around with other blank flanks or friendly foals who already have their cutie marks. His search for his talent has come to the point where it has even affected his schoolwork with Refund and Ruby often lecturing him on how vital his education is in potentially getting his cutie mark. Fudge has a best friend in school, Quarter Royal, who is slightly older than him and already has his cutie mark. Fudge looks up to Quarter as a potential mentor but tries not to let his jealousy get the better of him.

Troblems

When two characters that are linked in some way are submitted they are worked on one at a time. The reason for this is if massive changes are needed, it can vastly alter the backstory of both characters, making significantly more work for both the person submitting as well as the staff.

This lil' fella is adorkable.    :ph34r:  He seems like he's well written, but if I may - a few tweaks before I can scootaloo this along the path to EQE.  


 


You should mention your twin sister's name at least once, so we know who she is - wouldn't hurt to make mention of her once or twice in Fudge's history, either.


 


The ages should be generalized; no exact numbers, because we don't really wanna do all the detailed math and science required to really factor in an equivalent age... math is hard.  Still, descriptors like 'child' or 'adolescent' should work just fine, for future reference.


 


WHY is the lil' scamp afraid of dentists and ghosts?  Too many scary comics?  Bad visit to a donkey dentist's office?  Maybe he was spooked by the ghost of a dentist?  Would you kindly add at least a reference to these, for RP purposes?


 


Um, by the way?  How could a 'Napoleonic Complex' exist when Equestria has never hada Napoleon?  You could say a number of other things besides mentioning an issue that contains human historical references.


 


Now, the tough one *sigh*; Fudge and his sister cannot already be in the CMC yet - in fact, with the CMC technically being just a group of friends, it'd actually be quite a trick just to have heard of them... you might meet them later, but you'd need to go through that meeting and introduction IC, in-play.  (Trust me, it'll be fun!)

Aww, thank you. ^_^ I didn't really intend him to be adorkable but now that you mention it, that word really suits him. Okay, let's see what we can work out...

Whoa, I don't know how that instance slipped by in the first paragraph of the bio. I will edit that.

Despite him still being a kid with those being common childhood fears, I agree 100% with that suggestion. I may even devote an entire paragraph as to how he acquired those two fears.

There's a story behind this one, actually. I had him and Sundae created with the intention of crusading with Babs but that went out the window early in the fifth season for obvious reasons. This paragraph instead of Fudge in the CMC will be focused more on his early adolescence and an addendum of why he's so adamant about getting his cutie mark.
