Stallion
Being on the crisp of entering his prime, Sky Blue isn't that large of a stallion. While he is still taller then the average mare, there are plenty of other stallions his age that are bigger then him physically.
Much like him namesake Sky Blue's coat is a rather pleasant sky blue, his mane and tail a matching soft gold that is easy on the eyes. His eyes are a also a light shade of blue, but they always seem to be strained, tired and bloodshot whenever anyone looks into them. Around his hooves, his coat clearly has dark stains on it from sources unknown.
His mane and tail are both kept very short, clean and neat but otherwise little effort goes into maintaining them or making them fashionable; They are rarely left long enough to be worth brushing.
His wings match the color of his coat, however depending on the last time he pruned his feathers some of them may show signs of being stained by chemicals unknown.
male Pegasus A glass flask filled with a bubbling blue liquid. How ponies view Sky Blue depends highly on when they meet him.
If they meet him during the course of his day job or when he is 'off the clock' they will meet a stallion that is polite but tired, willing to offer them a friendly smile and a nice word but clearly just waiting for a chance to sit down and get some shut eye.
Those whom meet him during the course of his second job (Whom are completely different from those whom he interacts with otherwise and in which he goes to great lengths to maintain the distance of his different social circles) will know Sky Blue as a true professional in all matters; Friendly enough for their line of work but with the steel to commit to fighting dirty if things start to go Discord.
Ponies in both of his distant social circles agree that Sky takes pride in a job well done and isn't likely to sacrifice quality of work unless the matter was truly dire.
Likes: Cutting corners at the cost of quality. Uncontrollable chaos.Sky Blue was born in the city of Cloudsdale to loving parents Yellow Dawn and Evergreen (His colors being traced back to his grandparents). Much like any other pegasus foal he went to flight school but he didn't excel as a flier. While he was far from the worst flier that had ever existed it was simply his lot in life to be mostly ground bound. His father Evergreen noticed his sons love of mixing things together and watching what happened so he got Sky a children's chemistry set. Shortly afterwards Sky Blue earned his cutie mark.
This raised a few problems since chemistry was a field primarily dominated by unicorns, which meant that any advanced learning on the subject would have to take place in Canterlot, a prospect that was very expensive and highly taxing to the families finances. Still, despite the cost Sky Blue managed to enroll at a school in Canterlot while staying at a very basic dorm on site with a number of roommates.
Despite being the only pegasus in a class almost completely filled with unicorns and often treated as a lesser because of it Sky Blue quickly proved to be a star pupil in the field of chemistry, putting many of the unicorns in his class to shame and furthering his distance from them socially. He was perfectly okay with that since he had more important things on his mind. The fact that his parents were being so put out by how much his education was costing them hung over his head and he sort a part time job in order to help ease their burden. What few legit jobs for pegasi that were available in Canterlot were low paying, time consuming and often wing breaking affairs made worse by the generally snobbishness of the unicorn 'elite'.
When one of his roommates made him a job offer, Sky was a little reluctant at first but quickly convinced to give it a try. It was very high paying, he got to put his skills in chemistry into practice (Which only aided his grades) and one shift a week earned him more money then any of the other jobs he would have offered him for the bulk of their duration. He also respected the nature of his work and knew have to keep his mouth shut about it; As far as his parents know, he had managed to snag a job with one of the more high paying private weather groups, making sure the weather for the gardens of nobles were taken care of.
After quite some time once Sky Blue graduated from school with one of the highest marks in Canterlot's history, he had a solid amount of money saved up. Using his funds to establish a chemist in the Crystal Empire due to their need for more modern tradesponies after their thousand years or so of being vanished wherever they had been and promptly made an absolute killing business wise. Quickly becoming the most successful chemist in the Crystal Empire, Sky maintains a surprisingly private lifestyle... the fact that he had kept his hoof in the business that helped make him what he is a secret he shares with no one.
Where to from here? Why, the sky is the limit...
While Sky Blue is currently located in the Crystal Empire, several cities in Equestria have elements on both sides of the law whom are familiar with the produce of his second job even if they have no idea of who the stallion behind the curtain is. It tends to stand out for its blue coloration and its pure quality helps make it unique.
Sky Blue's story of becoming a success despite adversity has resulted in him traveling Equestria as a motivational speaker at schools, promoting such values as working hard to achieve your dreams, paying attention in class and not to do illegal drugs.
