CheeryBlossom 7 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Why hello there new friends! I'm writing a paper for my college communications class. We were given an assignment to Compare two different topics. I've chosen to compare Bronies and Trekkies in the hopes to try and lessen some of the stigma we as a community get. However, I need a little help. Until I got this assignment I was perfectly content to just talk to my friends about the wonder that is MLP, but I've realized that my knowledge of the community as a whole is lacking. I want to get to know more about what you all think about the conventions, the art, music and literature that come out of the love of a great show. I'd also want to know about anything you guys do in the communities you live in. What do you guys think? Wanna help a pony out?
Carbon Maestro 1,003 June 4, 2014 Share June 4, 2014 Alrighty, first of all, I think you want to do a few things in your research. First, slow down. There are a lot of questions that I'd love to answer, but time is a constraint. You might want to ask all your questions separately so that way: More bronies can give an answer It'll be better research. If you have 5 or 6 questions that you want to ask, make 5 or 6 discussion posts. It'll help. 2nd, I think you want to make your questions more specific because right now it's really general. You could say things like, "What Brony music do you enjoy listening to, and why?" or if you're directing at the artists, you could say, "What inspires you in the show to draw fanart?" That way bronies will know that you're talking to that particular group. You might have spend some time on this, but this is how I would start if I wanted to research bronies. 1 "You learn a lot about people when you listen to the songs that mean something to them."
