I experimented with all the VSTs and Libraries I had. This was the result. I got stuck in finding a good progression since I have no idea what they're all about so I devised my own way of getting chords.

That was outstanding! Now, I am no music critic or analyst by any stretch of the imagination, but this really speaks to me tastes quite easily. Being a fan and avid listener of the likes of Rhapsody of Fire, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, Fairyland, and Pathfinder, this isn't actually far from that sort of quality at all.

Overall, GREAT!

Oh yeah! Now this is what I'm talking about!

Nice and powerful intro! But it seemed like you lost a tiny bit of steam when the voices came in. Maybe sharper voices would do and also some power chords in the background would keep the intensity up.

Also, you could've stepped out the cadence and done a little bit more because it was basically the same cadence everytime. It got a little bit boring and repetitive, even though you had your lead doing arpeggios toward the end.

Great effort!

8.5/10

Where'd you get that sweet lead guitar sound? Did you record it?

Amazing work, Arkane.  Love the choir, :)

Thanks! Though It isnt the best in seamless transitions. Most of my time experimenting with this ended up with me trying to time the choirs right. Not perfect, just right.

Hah, I wish! Though my songs pales in comparison to them. Glad to see that I'm not the only one who knows these bands. Sort of wished Luca didnt leave RoF and just integrated his ideas into it. :c

Its a Synthesizer called Realstrat. I had it on low velocity so that it wouldnt sound fake-ish. I had it go through my own settings in Revalver HPSE.

Hmmm, I think I'm gonna look into that 'cause I've been trying to find an excellent sounding distorted guitar sample.

You could always go for the free ones. From what I've experienced, they sound the same thing when its through an amp sim.

DVS Guitar or DSK Electrik GuitarZ +

= sounds the same. Edited by Arkane
