As for your OC: 

 

Looks: I do think that black and white can be used correctly, but the pattern of this oc is probably used too often, so the white and black clash with each other. The eye looks idiotic, and isn't natural if this is supposed a "normal" OC. 

 

Species: This is an alicorn, no doubt about it. Your oc doesn't look like royalty, and, if he is supposed to be in cannon, then the wings must be fake or manufactured. 

 

Backstory: Since there is no link for for your OC's backstory, i'm just going to guess that it's parents are dead or whatever. 

 

Total: I'd give it a 5/10, it's "Neutral" but it's not the worst OC i've seen.

You do realize that if you give someone the option to rate your oc, negative comments will appear. I don't think someone is just going to lie through their teeth just because you start getting defensive and slightly aggressive. Also, if you are going to have a OC that bad, then negative comments will appear almost all of the time. But seriously, if he is the opposite of Discord, then why is his coloring that bad, clearly Discord himself had a little bit of fun with him then.

I'm Wolfie  ! I've always wanted to say that your OC is the cutest in that first position . She reminds me of Brian Griffin, too.

 

As for the heated debate I've been watching, I agree with Corey that you should be expecting some criticism whenever you are asking for people to rate something of yours. Although I didn't see anything particularly rude that Corey said, one should still be sincere when giving someone a rating (don't call something "idiotic").

 

I'll rate your OC as well, tragic. It's a little bit manic and he looks pretty well-armed . In my opinion, the best OCs can be some of the simplest. There's just a lot going on with your OC, like AA's new livery . I guess you want a number? Probably 4/10.

Lightning flicker was sick of the gloomy weather in trottingham and when he learned that there was a need for lightning weather ponies in a place called ponyville he decided to immigrate there. Lightning weather ponies have the ability to create a static shock when they fly fast enough. That is the lightning and thunder you get during thunder storms. When the Pegasus have lightning storms planned it's his job to fly around as fast as he can to create static shocks.
