TheMarkz0ne 962 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 I know we have the Super Smash Brothers series. To my knowledge, only the Mario, Wario and Donkey Kong characters are in one roster universe. So what about Star Fox, Metroid, Mother(Earthbound), F-Zero, Kirby and many others? What do you think?
Puddlejumper 1,649 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 (edited) Until there is proof, I think not. Not even planet names have shown up cross-franchise. I pretty much believe each of those other franchises are their own. CloserToTheSun 732 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 While there are nods, like Pokémon having a Mario game (playable on the NES in Gen 1), I highly doubt it. There are plenty of references. Another one includes Lon Lon Ranch and the ranchers looking like Mario and Luigi. BasementSporkle 20,358 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 Maybe not one universe, but a bunch of separate ones that are connected somehow. Like there are portals scattered across their respective universes that lead to the other ones. Occasionally someone or something accidentally goes through and lands in another universe. The Super Smash Bros. event might be a multi-universal tournament that is set up on occasion. Maybe some sort of special event temporarily connects them all together in a way that makes it extremely easy to cross over. 2 Twilight is best pony. Why hello MLPForums! What have ya been up to? Adorkable 2,737 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 Ah, what an excellent question. It's been theorized that Nintendo is actually just one big universe, instead of being different ones. Game Theory actually did a video on this particular subject. ^^
Soundwave 28,558 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 (edited) Besides Mario and Donkey Kong? Maybe. I'd like to think of them as one universe(or at least all connected), but then again I do that for a lot of franchises under one brand/developer. The only Nintendo universes confirmed to be one universe are Mario and Donkey Kong. Others, I'm not so sure about. Definitely not The Legend of Zelda though, that's all medieval-type stuff.
Ashen Pathfinder 16,167 June 20, 2014 Share June 20, 2014 Oh, I dunno. Isn't there that hack or something that discovered Arwings in Ocarina of Time's coding? You know...detailing when Corneria invaded Hyrule? Seriously though, aside from the aforementioned examples, I doubt it is one big universe. I doubt Nintendo would go to such great lengths to interconnect their various franchises. That makes me wonder if Master Hand is a representation of Nintendo...After all, he is the one behind the Super Smash Bros. events. TheMarkz0ne 962 June 20, 2014 Author Share June 20, 2014 (edited) I always love the idea of Mario in an arwing. Or some cross over with the Star Fox universe. Like I can only see Metroid being a likely candidate for Star Fox to enter. Edited June 20, 2014 by TheMarkz0ne

Radiance64 7,059 June 23, 2014 Share June 23, 2014 Only in Super Smash Bros., which is its own universe in and of itself. Otherwise, while there are plenty of references/connections within their games, I really don't think all Nintendo universes are connected.
